No, the one who starts working as the intern is the real niece, Shu Yi thought the mistress was the niece because she was picked up from the hospital in the car that belongs to Shi Yan, his driver is the "rich uncle" the skank goes on about to Shu Yi's ex and can get him into the company i think.
I stopped at ep 24 just come occasionally now to see if i should pick it back up again but going by the comments it's doubtful, much as i like Bai Lu and Dylan Wang, there are some shows that just cant be saved even with the best actors/actresses.
