I regret having started this. I thought it would be more about mathematics, but it's mostly about the class issues, school corruption and bullying. Maybe I'll finish it, but should have checked out the writer before starting. I dropped Jekyll, Hyde and Me at the 7th ep. Have arrived at the same "no more of this" feeling at 7th ep of Melancholia. I'm so disappointed that they went back to the horrendous school environment as grown ups. Expected this to shift to their grown up lives and real maths research. There's not enough intelligence in the drama really, or what there is is just a failed effort to come across as intelligent. The dialogues are lacking in depth. The FL is oddly stonefaced all the time. Choi Do Hyun is pretty similar in all his roles. FLs father, the math professor, seems like the only really sympathetic character. There are so many better dramas about class divisions and school corruption, like Extraordinary You and School 2017 which I'd really recommend instead of this also for the romance dimension.
Very sympathetic small short drama. Highly recommended. I wish there were more dramas like this. Nothing bad happens. Small things in life are appreciated. Fantastic acting from each and everyone in the cast. 8/10.
Did anyone else notice that they did the same thing with the horse in ep 12 as in King of Tears Lee Bang Won? Full flip landing uncontrallably head first. I don't believe the horse survived in this drama either. So violent and unnecessary.
not understanding the minyoung hate she hasnt even had enough screen time for everyone to be hating on her :((
she's a great actress, one of the very best. so they had good reasons to cast her. This isn't a romance drama so I don't get the hating. I do know that we all have our likes and dislikes in actors but.
Can someone tell me what is the exact genre of this drama? Melodramatic? is it focused on romance too?
the genre "slice-of-life" is tagged simply as "life" but the genre name is in fact quite established. I think it's my fave genre (I avoid detective and thriller genres mostly so tags are very useful)
I voted for dramas which I watched and finished. Maybe it would have been more fair to vote for the ones I dropped immediately (in 15-20 mins, like Eve and Gaus Electronics).
so many better dramas out there, if you didn't start yet, I wouldn't recommend this. The first episodes were promising, but the last episodes really fell flat. Boring, without clear direction or message. The reality show thread could have been sharp, but it felt like I was actually watching one rather than watching a parody of reality shows. Very blah.
A weird bunch of loosers (in their own belief system) completely lacking purpose in life and social skills. It's oddly funny and very fitting watching for November. I'm starting to get this. Mr. Gu just sitting, drinking, being mute and not doing anything with his free time... it's kinda brilliant. Currently at ep. 5.
