it's very slow indeed but I watched in small slices

Just finished watching When The Weather Is Fine. His character in that drama is really different than in his other dramas. It was a delight to watch him being so different in that drama. Great actor who can play diverse characters and can't be typecast. Wholly deserved the award for AoS.

This drama is really different. The main character is the small town, in a sense. There's a quietness and slowness and an overall ambience in this one, it's very controlled in an artistic sense. The drama uses a lot of season metaphors, and as a season it's definitely November with November feelings. Cinematography is beautiful. The drama is slow so I felt it was better to also watch slowly, some 15-20 mins a day. That way I could enjoy the townspeople interactions, and the range of characters. Lee Jae Wook's acting and character were particularly delighful. What also really likeable and fun, was the book club, with the old and young members mixing. And the bookshop as a setting, cosy and warm. In contrast FL's house and family were cold and icy. The two main characters past and traumas were less interesting to me. The drama wasn't really that romantic - I had expected more and the romance was kind of empty (purposefully and in line with the characters but still something of a letdown). It's a perfect drama for book lovers. But I didn't fully understand the main characters, especially ML remained a mystery. This is because we get to learn about the main characters and the two families past very slowly, mostly in the latter half. So this takes a lot of patience and it's not for moments when we need entertainment or quick rewards.

A drama about values in business. I didn't start watching with any expectations but now I'm really interested in this plotline. Also the history part, history of the major enterprises, is interesting.

If you read the comments on Be Melodramatic, you'll find that he stole the whole drama through incredible acting with only about 1 hour of screentime. He's a genius actor.

As good as it is, it's chaebol problems and conflicts, which are not emotionally touching or spiritually enhancing. I think the rating is right although I love the top notch acting and the quality of it all.

she's a great award winning actress. I think she'll grow on you when you see the skill.

Just a sidenote: all of the outfits of the FL have been so ugly and uncool. ML, likewise. But FL is so uncomfortable is those outfits. it's really distracting. Stylistic catastrophy. But it's just my taste I guess.

Great fit for a villain role.

Maybe I'm the only one who likes Kim Ji Won only in Arthdal Chronicles (and finds her boring in all those other roles). For me, dream fit would have been Shin Hye Sun or Kim So Hyun. Maybe someday. But the writer & director both are awesome, best of the best category.

Yes, Jealousy Incarnate was definitely not conventional. For once I hope GHJ stays badass from start to finish. Hope it's an action rom com (and with some tongue in cheek humour as in Firefly)

I like how the kept the manga feel in this adaptation. The roots are clearly visible. That's not very common imo.
