Title Happiness
Overall this was well written and directed. (Some editing flaws). More psychological than full-on gore. Great acting. Jo Woo Jin is particularly stellar here. But I didn't like the overall message, it made the whole thing fall flat. A very sombre view of humanity (especially ordinary people) is not very typical for k-dramas and left a bad taste in my mouth. The strand about the repurposed medicine fell away and that was the most interesting to me. The 2 last episodes were particularly disappointing with too many tiresome plot twists and illogicalities, I dropped my rating from 9 to 8.

I really need to watch it, I watched 2-3 ep but somehow stopped as the time went by and new kdramas were coming…
Yes, it's the best possible choice. Maybe over Christmastime? It's 11/10 for me.

This hasn't even been released yet so why are people crying that it shouldn't get a second season. I will never…
Strong language, will not make people agree with you more. One season model is vastly more satisfying bc it usually means the whole drama aka one story is written from start to finish. There's reviewing and editing but still the storyline is one arc. Thoroughly preplanned. The writers know what they want to say with the drama. One of the things that makes k-dramas vastly superior to western dramas. This is an objective opinion which I am entitled to and it does not make me a purist or mad or a cryer. Why bother to comment if you're so detached from k-drama fandom.

Person Yim Si Wan
Im Si Wan has just proved himself as a master of psychologically disturbed roles with Emergency Declaration and…
I disagree. He was great in Run On. His character in Run On was really multidimensional. Im Siwan's acting is such that he never lets us see only one side of the characters he's portraying. He makes us think about and figure out various qualities in his characters (people are never just one thing). I just watched The King In Love, that's another great achievement in portraying complex emotions (in heavy situations). People tend to think thriller, antagonist and psychopath roles are more difficult and laudable and of course there's more risk in them (the risk of getting typecast a as a villain). But Im Siwan just becomes the character he's portraying, be it an athlete, King or a rookie intern. A genius actor.

This drama is full-fledged romantic from start to finish (9/10). Fundamentally satisfactory for us who really like to get immersed in the characters and their challenges. You feel their feelings. The plot is a rollercoaster which means the drama wasn't boring, not even for a second. But the suspense comes from the difficulties between finding a balance between personal feelings and moral duties to the country. The fight scenes are kept to a mimimum, they don't stop the flow of the drama. There are quiet reflective moments and funny moments which balance the pacing perfectly. Out of the fictional historical dramas I've watched, this resembles Hwarang (which I loved). Empress Ki, Love in the Moonlight and Queen for 7 Days were vastly inferior to me, I mostly skipped whole episodes. Needless to say, the acting of the 3 leads and the portrayal of their friendship is fantastic. The ending is very satisfactory and somewhat unconventional. It makes me happy that I can start another drama with Im Siwan (Summer Strike) right after this one, he is such a genius actor. Will def look up Hong Young Hyun's other dramas. And looking forward to seeing Yoona again in the KingTheLand.

Title Train
Fair point, as a big fan of Yoon Shiyoon and Kyung Soojin who is an actress that doesnt get lead roles. I soldiered…
Very true, we didn't get attached to the characters. Am happy I learned to drop, although it's taken me 2 years to get here!

Despite everything that happened on this episode, i still think the romance has become of zero importance in this…
I agree. This could have been quite novel if they had put more focus on the contract work and how the society views it (a real life challenge). The chaebol problems are so worn out in comparison.

Her weight is fine with me because it didn't break down her cool acting skills as ever she can display range emotions…
people who have more fat can't display emotions? I'd think the more botox and surgeries the more difficult it is to display emotions but okay.

I thinks it's quite harsh to say that the rookie writer shouldn't get another chance just because you feel there…
Normally promising writers get a chance by writing a drama special first. Immaturity is a rare feature in k-dramas. Plot holes are not a bigger concern here than in any other drama. Ability to write dialogue is key to getting to know the characters.

I don’t know man! This years kdrama are so mediocre what’s happening
This year has been like the best ever with AoS, Little Women, Sound of Magic, Our Blues, If You Wish Upon Me and many others. But this particular period offers absolutely nothing worthwhile.

After Secretary Kim and a Her private life, no further drama of PMY came near in script, chemistry and neither…
Agree about the poor writing. Her Private Life was so much better. Loved that one. I didn't like Secretary Kim. I do like her in When the Weather is Fine (currently watching). Healer is so good, a classic. I liked her in Forecasting Love and Weather and the drama was imo endlessly better than this one. In Queen for 7 Days the problem was again poor writing but her chemistry and the scenes with Lee Dong Gun were awesome and the reason I completed it.

Before this drama I couldn't guess how many haters PMY had. As a rule, they cling on to notorious Dispatch, which…
People are wondering what is healthy and what is not. Mostly none of are not familiar with Dispatch. It's a very basic question and PMY's body gets shown a lot in the drama and the message is always that she's the most beautiful and desirable. You need to think what that message might do overall and whether it's correct rather than assuming that other people are haters. No one hates or dislikes PMY. I've watched all her dramas and she's still gorgeous but it's worrisome if this is the beauty standard.

Is it just me but PMY's weight loss is really evident here and I think it's a bit unhealthy? I know beauty and…
I agree. The beauty standards are worrisome. I'd like to know if it's healthy to be so skinny, honestly. Yes it bothers me.
