Calmly paced, sad drama depicting the pain of families whose kids have gone missing. No action, violence, flashiness or shock effects. I loved how they relied on the weight of the story alone to grab watchers. And the personalities and dedication of the police officers. This was very emotional, especially the relationship between Seven and Officer Wang was precious. This didn't end the way I expected it to, but I didn't really mind. A very good, different drama. 8/10.

trying to find realism in comedy is like asking for unicorn.. it doesnt exist. and realism in general drama doesnt…
that's not exactly true. Roms coms are not one thing, there's a huge amount of variation within the genre and good dramas mix various genres. Watch Salon de Nabi for instance. It's realistic.

The dialogues are so badly written I have to drop this. The cringe factor got too big. Casting doesn't work for me, and the adult main characters' behavior is not realistic, imo. There are some good comedy moments. But I just lost trust that this plot and ingredients are going to work. There are so many better dramas to watch after all (I'm not purely a romcom watcher; if I were I'd stick around).

Black comedy and very entertaining. Bae Doona is so good in here. In some moments I felt that this was the much needed backstory for Moving and then I notice that the dad played Frank in Moving. Being only 6 eps, it's unlikely that this could turn out disappointing.

I really like ensemble dramas that portray a whole community and this is one. Realistic and serious, dark drama. It really takes its time to build the case, so this is not for the impatient. The bright side is that we get a fully fleshed out story. There are some clear takeaways; people always fall the hopium, and somewhat want to be fooled, and refuse to be told they have been fooled. The townfolks ended up loosing everything and letting go of each other, but they had genuinely precious times together in the church. Uhm Tae Goo's character, just out of prison, is not very likeable in the first half, he seems like a rabid animal almost. But in the end it's his refusal to go along with anything that doesn't feel right and unhesitatingly taking responsibility for others makes him the righteous one. All actors are great, but especially Esom and Kim Young Min.

It's not about patriarchy that a teacher isn't coming across as normal coming to school in pyjamas. My interpretation is that it signifies a major trauma in her past. Reception of a drama is all about interpretation. You might have a PhD and your interpretation is still just a subjective interpretation not better or worse than anybody else's. If you're lurking at comments sections looking for wrongthink to get angry about you'll sure find it.

People when a fl in kdrama doesn't wear that one white dress and coats:SHE IS SO CHILDISH AND ANNOYING! lol yall…
I haven't seen any teachers coming to school wearing their pajamas but if that makes me annoying so be it. It's just that there's a social dress code which most people observe out of courtesy. Maybe there's a story there which explains her reckless behavior.

I forgot to mention Dong Jae: The Good or The Evil, which is immensely entertaining. My rating for these similar genre dramas: Dong Jae 9/10, The Auditors 8/10, Parole Examiner 7/10.

It’s funny how people think criticism equals hate. Not everyone who dislikes a drama is a hater; some of us…
Calling people haters is babytalk and also an effort to suppress other people's opinions. I would block everybody saying that thing and but then again I remind myself that they are fourteen year olds. Some dramas attract extreme fandoms that refuse to understand that this is a commenting and criticism site. I haven't found any Korean newspaper in English language containing anything else but advertising. So the only place for serious analysis of dramas is this.

This is not bad at all. It's an okay drama but dry-ish. That's why the low rating. There's something lacking, I'm not getting immersed in it. Also, I don't understand some actor choices (the male secretary could have been a more lively & humorous character, for instance). From similar dramas: The Auditors from this year was much more suspense-filled and had more interesting cases, imo. I've liked Go Soo most in Heart Surgeons. I might finish this, slowly, but it's not a priority.

Thanks for the hint! I'm watching Lost in Shadows right now and that too is really good. I made a request to Netflix for Blossoms Shanghai. I really hope they buy it. I love Wong Kar-Wai films and this doesn't seem to have eng subs yet on other platforms.
