I just finished it - because I'm a finisher - and perhaps I'm in minority, but it was underwhelming. I love the…
thank god I'm not the only one. Jungo never learned to communicate efficiently. They didn't have an in-depth serious conversation about their break-up. Realistically, they'll end up with similar misunderstandings and miscommunication again. Until the end I was aching to get scissors and cut Jungo's hair. I found the slowness borderline comical, especially the slowed down scenes. If this had been more popular, it would have been good stuff for parodies. I can already see above that people freak out about even a whiff of criticism. Let them. It ain't that serious if a person like is me too hardboiled to like this drama. No cause for warfare.
it should not be difficult to understand that everyone has different experiences based on what they have watched before, plus cultural background plus personal experiences (gender, age, etc). Try and comment the drama and not put other watchers' experiences down. You have only watched 20 k-dramas which is nothing. Hence newcomer.
After watching the 4th episode, which brought me -3/10 satisfaction, I conclude that this drama should be titled:…
Well said. Dropped at the beginning of ep 3. Me too, I've seen almost every police, crime, thriller k-drama (after 2016) and this ain't interesting in any way. I'm not looking for humour or action but it's a must to get to know and care about the characters. And I do not like dramas where everything has to happen in a suffocating darkness. Even police go out to the sunshine every once in a while.
Well I disagree with many comments where people are saying that the writer is trying to portrait 'Love heals everything'…
genre: country blues: My baby left me this morning I did all your dishes I washed all your clothes I cooked for you And I said it straight You're dumb You're not talented Because I left you first I never said I love you But baby can't you see I love you so much
Ep's 9 and 10 were so beautiful and deep. I love this drama, it's extraordinary. If Eun Ho just goes back to the toxic and abusive ML, I'll be disappointed. I guess he'll achieve some major character development in the last episodes. For a lonely person with no self-esteem to stay in an abusive relationship is of course a very realistic scenario. This happens to people in real life all the time. But I hope for a more open ending, where we see Eun Ho taking some kind of a new step towards healing. Maybe I trust the writer too much. But I don't think this will end in a conventional manner in which they just continue their relationship and supposedly live happily ever after.
Right. I don't mind if Eunho doesn't end up with Juyeon, but Hyunoh has never opened up really. Until he does…
I enjoyed the quality of discussions here, though. This was good about watching whilst this is airing. How women stay with abusive spouses is all very realistic and most of us could see that (thank god for small mercies). Am going to watch the last episodes but bracing myself for a disappointment.
Brace yourselves, this is gonna be a long one xdWhat I think Hyun Oh's defenders are missing here is the difference…
You're right. In reality people don't really change that much. A person can learn to communicate a little better perhaps but being nasty comes from his contempt of himself (bc he was abandoned as a kid) and that wound won't ever heal.
Oh wow! I didn't know Oh Man Suk and Bae Jong Ok taught acting! Also, I've put off Wok of Love for many years.…
Sorry for the typos. My favorite Ahn Nae Sang duality examples are The Guest (main villain) and Unlock My Boss (funny dad). Kim Chang Hwan, Bad Prosecutor (main villain) and It's Okay Not To Be Okay. Sung Dong Il, Jang Ok Jung versus If You Wish Upon Me. One of my fave chameleons is Jo Sung Ha (Save Me versus Sungkyungkwan Scandal). These veterans really get to portray every possible kind of human, we're so lucky they're not typecasted.
I loved this article. These actors deserve all the praise and more. They are some of the greatest actors indeed.…
PS. I thought the "grey" in the heading meant you would highlight incredibly versatile veteran actors like Ahn Jae Sang, Jo Sung Ha, Kim Sang Hwan and Sung Dong Il. But maybe later, right! Really looking forward to more!
I loved this article. These actors deserve all the praise and more. They are some of the greatest actors indeed. Oh Man Suk and Bae Jong Ok are also acting teachers! Shows how good your choices are. Looking forward to your next article! Lee Mi Sook had a double role in Wok of Love and it took me a while to even to notice that: she was so different in those two roles!
Didn't HO's grandmas run an illegal gambling joint, at least when he was young. Wouldn't this be the reason why he couldn't tell EH about his family. If people got a whiff of that, he would immediately have lost his career. As happened this very week with Knowing Bros' Jinho. He didn't run a gambling site but went to one.
Same observation. Since episode 1 everything was slow-paced. I was thinking that if the episodes continue to be…
I was also thinking that this could have worked better as a film. I'm just now watching Innocence, and Doubt could have been as exciting as that one as a film.
The pacing is still very slow. I think it's better to wait until it's finished and then binge. Can't finish otherwise. My view of Doubt is influenced by having watched so many great crime and thriller dramas recently. (If you're looking for very good ones I'd recommend Escape From the Trilateral Slopes, The Bad Kids, The First Shot). I absolutely loved Black Out but this isn't anything as grabbing. Just my opionion, no attacks please.
My baby left me this morning
I did all your dishes
I washed all your clothes
I cooked for you
And I said it straight
You're dumb
You're not talented
Because
I left you first
I never said I love you
But baby can't you see
I love you so much
