finished 13 eps and i'm thinking of dropping it,, does it get any better?

every time a scene from this drama comes across my fyp i inevitably end up crying it's a disease. this is one of those dramas that are impossible to rewatch solely because of how sad it is

i like that zhang linghe/xu ruohan and cheng lei/wang churan switched partners & are both starring in period dramas. very excited for overdo & TLOA!

their kids successfully changed their fate as you can see in their final letter to them and the polaroids (all the way from 1991 to 2026), they left the town, watched snowfall together & are still together in 2026. yu nian ends up as an orphan since her dad still dies in prison, and seeing that shen cheng still exists suggests that he's not haitang's biological son and likely a kid she adopted from the welfare house she was volunteering at all those years. they also show us shen cheng receiving xun and tang's letter, since him and nian still have their memories of the previous timeline.

final in less than 12 hours and i just finished episode 4 I LOVE THEM

So all of us comp sci students are just camping here just finals away from graduation? LOL

knew a lot of characters would die but the script writer really overdid it 🤣 wdym the whole cast significant and insignificant all die wth it was impactful at first but annoying in the last few eps. i loveddd bai shou's dynamic with fan yue in the beginning so much but slowly found myself more attached to bai xi/fu ling & chong zhao their chemistry is insane. i loved the sisters' reunion so much i'm genuinely mad at the writer for taking bai xi away from bai shou i wish they got to spend more time together,, bai xi's sacrifice felt really suited to her character. overall the plot was going really well and then somewhere along the way it felt like it the consecutive deaths were done more for the shock value which is unfortunate

i like pinpointing certain directors and going through their work i'm in love with dir. zeng's artistic vision
