Title Aema
A drama within a drama….within a drama. - that’s the best way I can think of summing up Aema.
Filled with oxymorons - sometimes harsh (specially when you know it could be somebody’s reality even right now) but hidden under all that glitz and horror, you can still find a few diamonds 🥲

Love both the main leads - both were filled with spunk - true bombshells (emphasis on “bomb”😎)! One thing I love about Aema is that they didn’t try to shove down a “pure” innocent romance in between the story -the closest in fact would probably be the “friendship” between Ju Ae and her friend (it’s vague and blurry enough to be read as either true sisterhood or something more). Best guy goes to Yeong Bae - a character so obscure, he doesn’t even have a credit on MDL’s cast list. Rather refreshing to see loyalty in a sea of depraved narcissists and betrayers.

The ending was rather sensational but given the industry and true reality behind Jung Hui Ran’s plan, I guess it didn’t hurt.

Overall, it was an interesting watch - for 6 episodes, they did well with the limited screen time given.

Why kill off Yan He? Is it because somebody has to be sacrificed then why not the besotted fool that caused the…
Because the besotted fool needs to truly feel the consequences. Having the blood of your crush's life long friend on your hands can be a better example than a faceless soldier🥲🥲🥲

Every time I see people complaining about why the FL is weak, scared, or not strong and useful, I feel like they…
She's the most relatable FL ngl. Corporate worker vacationning in some immortal world far far FAR AWAY from from your work station sounds like a dream come true🤭

I really generally can't stand green-flag ML's. But I love this one. It's because he has a sub-personality who's…
Couldn't have said it better.

The fact that his catch phrase is "kill X" while looking mischevious and not murderous at all is hilarious 🤣

In the first episode, I thought she was a genius and the show would reflect that. I was wrong. disappointing
Her strength is not being a traditional genius / behave like Sherlock Holmes. It's more how she's so tenacious, she digs deep until she comes across data nobody else bothers to consider.

I'd say her strongest feature is her OCD - hunger to find the truth even if it contradicts with her role as a lawyer. Like with the child abuse case for instance. All she had to do was to find a way to help her client (the "dad") and they even found reasonable evidence enough to discredit the nanny but because she couldn't ignore her gut feeling, she crossed the line enough to even make Yun concerned.

It can be a double edged sword though at times like with ep 6- her need to find the truth nearly messed their case😅

Probably yes - considering how vile some users can get, your comment could be twisted into something harsh/ harmful🫠

Title Summit of Our Youth Spoiler
China censors rebirth/ reincarnation and this drama is no exception since the fl gets sent back in time (rebirth).…
Not all is lost though- just need to use hour imagination🙈. Both the ML and FL have their memories so they will get married eventually.

While the FL no longer has her C Uni credential she still did achieve her dream "to go to CU". If she really wants to, she can try again for her next step in her higher studies.

All their work with C2 is also not lost really since the ML and FL are smart enough to recreate it (they are tenacious enough too).

The friends they gained/ helped and financial gains are lost but I'd like to believe that they will work something out eventually.

The only real loss is that the ML couldn't save his best friend🥲

Hi guys! Gonna start watching this and i have a question ! One of the tags is romance, is it between the two main…
Second couple definitely has romance.

As for the main leads, the verdict isn't out yet. They are emotionally close though-their boundaries are abit blurred because they are able to let loose and discuss their tough private life like old friends eventhough they barely know eachother. Pointed this out since the ML is quite tight lipped and ultra serious most of the time with everyone.

True...i was half concerned if they'd turn him into one of those rediculous villains. His redemption arc/ subsequent snealing behind his father were good.

The “evil” twin is a cliche thrope but they did handle it quite well IMO. I mean while Tong’s clinginess to Bei Ming was a bit much at times, never would I have thought that they were brothers, much less that he was Yesha.🥲

It’s a classic case of grooming. He was a vulnerable kid who had gone through torture way beyond his years could handle. Just like how all the orphans worshiped him, he probably worshiped the old man. It’s also a good coping mechanism because if he ever accepted that their method was wrong, a passionate person like him wouldn’t have been able to handle the countless murders he had committed.

Edit: I'm not sure if you watched the episode that revealed Tong's real name yet so the rest of my response is in the next comment (so i don't spoil the surprise unintentionally)🤫

It gets better after the first 7-12 eps or so. The first few episodes spend too much time trying to set the background…
Interestingly enough that’s how I felt about the initial episodes. I looked forward to Zhuge’s scenes they tend to be more chaotic.

HDR’s initial scenes could have been handled better. They could have kept her character mysterious without all the unnecessary deaths.

So torn about him- i'm still in ep 34 so no idea if he eventually died (i'm guessing yes). His backstory is so…
…and even after that, the twists just kept coming 🙈

The heartbreak 🥲🫠
