Episode 8 could have been great without the three friends laughing at the video of the wife beating the husband!…
They couldn't truly get justice to her sister-only by stooping down to his awful level they were able to save her. In an ideal world, she shouldn't have to choose between her safety and future. Alas the world isn't fair.
Sometimes when the pain is too hard and you are helpless, all you can do is laugh. None of them are inherently bad...that's why the sister cried while laughing.
(That being said, I'm not saying what she did was fine either)
i don't understand why lee jin u was forcing her lol he came to her home like he is the master anyways epi 10…
We really need to know why Jin Woo is so confident that she’ll accept him. He’s too old to be that clingy unless it’s their thing🫢
Ex wife’s rant - it’s probably nothing. For all we know, may be she’s giving Hash back to him due to circumstances she didn’t communicate during the last time they met? I mean Yun only gets to spend time with Hash on Fridays but the preview shows KHM and the twins will be playing with Hash in casual clothing. Unless that particular Friday is a holiday, it looks like Yun will be having Hash over for at least the weekend.
idk what yall are seeing in the second couple. Yeah she's insecure but that doesn't necessarily mean she needs…
I wish if they gave us a bit more context as to why Jin Woo is so confident with the way he is pursuing her. Just because the audience knows or at least has an inkling that she is kind of interested in him, it’s not really enough given how JW has chosen to get her to agree. Since Jin Woo has to be at least in his early 30s, his actions at the moment look rather immature. We are missing context (being friends and confidantes for years do not really count as a good enough reason to be pushy).
It’s like with the “The First Frost” - sure Sang Yan kept stalking YF BUT it was pretty explicitly made clear through all the flashbacks that they had a mutual understanding even if their feelings were not defined with a title when they were young/ he knew about her troubled past. With Jin Woo, I wish if we got more context.
I know they are defense/litigation lawyers and it's their job to argue for the defendants, but it seems weird…
That's the thing with defending defendants though. You have to justify why they did what they did. Not all are psychopaths who just enjoy hurting people. If not there would be no reason to give defendants the right to have a lawyer.
It's also the reason why Yun always reminds KHM when she insists on taking on a case on the importance of presentation during the trial. You need to be able to "sell" your justification.
Since she got assaulted close to the pub and the parking lot was supposed to be in the opposit side of the street, it should be close to the same location ideally. It's possible though that Kim may have parked her vehicle abit away from the pub parking lot (but connected to the same road)? The time taken for Kim to get into her vehicle and drive off would be enough time for the victim to gain consciousness too? It's just speculation though 🙈
Ignoring concussion as a reason for her jaywalking at that time- to avoid this arguement only I guess KHM's mum suggested to find proof to "break" the chain? It is a fact that the victim jaywalked on an extremely dangerous route over 30 times despite her previous violations. This suggests that there would have been a possibility that even if she wasn't concussed, she still would have KNOWINGLY jaywalked there again.
I'm not familiar with South Korean law but at least according to google, it seems that a person can be sentenced upto 5 years for traffic fatality cases that are related to negligence- with jaywalking as one option that could assist in reducing the sentence.🙊
- so this was a legal case? like ... in court? ... so if I was bullied by other kids in high school is it normal…
That's why they still charged her. The bullying was used to make the assault more understandable/ explain why she may have been recklessly driving at the time.
Honestly I'm glad they comsidered the victim's habitual jaywalking when sentencing her. IRL some just assume road rules are just there for humour- specially since the law is more strict on drivers. Someone who'd jaywalked on the exact same route 35+ times despite all the warnings was flirting with💀 -with a concussion or not.
1 ep per case. It's interesting since they cover different topics.
It's abit like Juvenile justice but not as tense since the FL doesn't have a traumatized past like in JJ (I mean the FL had some hardships but she still has her shine if you get what I mean.)
The format is abit like Resident Playbook I guess?

New beginnings=new scents
Jokes aside, I get what you mean. I find their slow pace/ quiet lounge talks way more fulfilling than them being all over each other. It’s refreshing.

BTB relies a lot on fate TBF so the coincidences are just part of the package 🙈.
Like with even yesterday's case- what are the odds that the same doctor keeps crossing paths with the one person she loathed more than anything?

ep 9 was about a convicted child rapist who got killed during a medical procedure. The parasite's mother was a real piece of work too😅
