PingTing was already portrayed as somebody who can be vicious to her subordinates. While she can't do anything to Chu, she can punish Chu's maid (specially since her dad would protect her anyway).
Honestly all of them were reckless. Chu should have known that he was still in a dangerous position even if he fulfilled his lifelong wish. PingTing too should have known better than to hurt Chu's right hand in order to control him.
