I spent so much time worrying Lee U Jeong (played by Cha Ji Hyeok) was a snitch that every time he would show up on the screen during my first time watch I was like “this guy is a snitch. He looks shady AF. He’s making weird faces and expressions”.
And during my second watch (when I already knew better) I still had that feeling. 😅😂
Who was that person who went to see Sergeant Yun's body in the morgue at the very end of the last episode?
According to Jason Kim there is no story behind the cameos. Just some actors who thankfully agreed to be a part of the production and appear in cameos.
13. Yun Tae Geom (played by Hwang Chan Sung) totally and absolutely and utterly deserved to die. I don’t care what anyone says. No he did not deserve a redemption arc. Nope. Not for one second. He killed without remorse. The Uzbek boxer, the bodyguards in Ep1. Just cos he had a sob story where his wife died of a disease and is now a single father and got into this business to pay off debt - does not cut it. He deserves that death. Every second of it. I ain’t allowing him the sob story all of a sudden.
Well. It was an okay show. PMY was good in this one.
I just feel that Wi Ha Joon was underwhelming. There were some moments where he showed his range, but mostly he felt severely underutilised. I really want him to choose better scripts.
All in all, I didn’t go into this show thinking it would be a critical masterpiece. Most network shows are made for a homely TV audience and they dumb it down so it can be aired for prime time audiences. So I got what I expected. A little choppy and illogical at times. But I didn’t hate it. It kept the whodunnit mystery quite well for the first half of the show. Overall, I’m not mad (shrugs).
Does it make sense that a partner attorney in a law firm is resigning and suddenly in a few days they are strapped for cash.
Partners make profit. Because to become partner you need to put in equity as well. And if you leave the law firm you get a healthy payout. 😒 why is the writing seeming like some simpleton sitting at home wrote it. lol
Our guy used to be a detective before embarking on a career of insurance fraud investigator. Didn’t he have his training experience to take down an opponent? lol
12. I love this space as it’s dedicated to Asian dramas. And I also love how people openly and freely share their strong and sometimes honest opinions about a work. Sometimes they like a project so much that they start picking fights in the comment thread with anyone who doesn’t agree with their opinion (which is very unsophisticated). But sometimes they agree with someone’s comment and they end up sharing notes of things they loved in a show with a total stranger. And that’s why this open space is so important to just share your opinions and thoughts and critique freely (and hopefully in a civilised way)
Having said that, I’m kinda over this whole “oh they keep crying constantly” narrative that’s building up around Season 2. As if we didn’t see Geonwoo cry in season 1. And that too multiple times. Like what’s so surprising here?! He has always been that guy. Why is everyone so …taken aback by it. In fact, the guy literally was about to cry when they finally defeat Kim Myeong Gil, in S1 Episode 8, at the thought that he has become a violent hunting dog. Which is not his nature. And Woojin has to literally soothe and console him in that moment. That hey, we will find our way back, I’m with you.
I really don’t understand why is everyone so surprised? Did we want Geonwoo to suddenly enjoy a new thrill in bloodlust ? Become this mastermind plotter who is unfazed by the unfolding violence around him ? The guy was always a Pookie. He is still a pookie. Anyway, this “he’s always crying” opinion is quite disingenuous if you actually have watched S1. 😒
(Coming here right after Bloodhounds S2 and Humint, so a bit whiplashed but oddly satisfied. Maybe I won’t be too pissy, or maybe not. who knows 😅) Ok here we go episode 11: so the lady buys a heavy duty hi-tech safe but there are no 24/7 cameras inside. Never heard of that. This I say as someone who knows a thing or two about safety vaults. But oh well. (Shrugs)
But then she also doesn’t run back CCTV footage to check who has been moving suspiciously in her office premises. Justice for CCTV cameras at the Royal Auction house . 😂 I mean just thinking logically.

Everything is just so damn forced and over-the-top.
And here I was begging and pleading Netflix gods to give guns to the good guys in BH2 and …wow. We have an AK47 make an appearance 🙄
Is it an AK or something else ?
