“Counselling is confidential, so I can’t really share”. But I can tell you that he comes to me for counselling.
Like what ?!!! This is mal-effing-practice!! You can’t go about telling people hey, this person you know, he comes to me for therapy. What is this writing ? 😂
I know she’s done it on purpose, but the wife could have used it as a comeback.
The lady should have changed her look at least for this show. She just looks like she walked off the set of dynamite kiss and then doing the same thing on this one.
That deepfake video of the husband telling the kidnapper to abduct and do away with his wife is a thing of the past and just by bedridden criminal woman’s word we are to believe everything about her word and not corroborate the testimony from the evidence which is necessary for a trial. The detective work in this crime drama is so shoddy. I feel like … I wanna go into the show and tell those incompetent cops, hey look here, go there, do that. It’s obvious. I don’t see any urgency in episode 9 to try to catch a criminal who is at large. And the cops are so bad, they show up at the crime scene like three musketeers, doing not much but just repeating each other’s lines and looking dumb and confused. No sharpness or edge of cops in their demeanour.
From a crime thriller it is now morphing into a hospital drama. Like … I honestly think the director wasn’t capable enough to juice the damn script. Send it for rewrites and then create a cohesive storyboard that made the viewer not call out the problems.
I have exceptional taste. 😉 and I don’t say it in a braggadocio way or anything. If I don’t cultivate good taste and evolve eclectically in my choices, then I don’t make a living. And that’s why I mean it when I call something shit or good. It has nothing to do with the actors or their fandom or their conduct or life choices. It’s purely on the merits and quality of an actor’s / project’s talent, craft and growth as a working artist.
Ohsh!t is this going the way of Star Wars?! Like, make a movie, then three unrelated but still somehow related…
I think it's Min Ho Woo (the writer and director of the series) just giving us what we missed in S1. or maybe he's just tying the ends for the global audiences who don't know much about that era in South Korea's history and will not bother to read about it either and then show up at the gates of season 2 and say "hey what happened? I need more details". I respect the choice of using a different medium (webtoon) for filling the gaps in the 9 year narrative. Drama/Filmmaking, especially a period piece set in a specific era is extremely expensive. The creator has to be right about everything production wise. You don't have to consume it. But it definitely is not a Star Wars type thing.
I think it's MinHo also exorcising his childhood in some sort of way. He grew up in that era of upheaval in South Korea. If you go through his filmography, you will see it is heavily influenced by that era. And as a cineaste, I sometimes understand more about the creator's psychology, personality and approach to storytelling from the work they put out.
The hyper fixation some people have on actors' personal life is beyond disturbing. As long as no laws were broken,…
In my line of work, I have had access to talent. And let me tell you something that I’ve observed. I would not want to live a life that they live. Ever. The part you said about “access to a stranger’s romantic relationships”. It goes beyond that. Their politics, their body, their choice of partners, their sexuality. No wonder they go crazy. Human beings are not created for global scrutiny and constant attention. We are created for community and service. I mean speak about the merits or the quality of their work and craft and that’s it. Why inhale their private lives like some drug and then go on a rampage. Lunacy.

I honestly have no idea about this guy’s personal life or who he is. I have just watched some of his filmography. And this Mephisto chick came at me 😂 telling me I had uncontrollable love for a guy 😂😂😂 and that I was a brain dead fan. I swear to God I was confused like where is this vitriol coming from ? What did I write up there that triggered this lunatic chick. Anyway, I had to ask if the actor had aggrieved her in some personal capacity or if she was some parasocial nutjob. Then she blocked me 😂😂😂😂 I love it.
Unconditional love? For a man I don’t know? lol bitch, did you take your medicine this morning or just got out of bed hallucinating again? 😂🤡 oh wait! Did he screw your mom? 😳
Why does this “everyone” you speak of, hate him ? Did Junyeol steal their goat or kick their pet dog ? Or did he sleep with their mother? 😂. If it’s none of the above, then it’s probably just self loathing oozing out towards someone whose number they don’t have in their caller ID but still think they know him enough to “hate” him as you say. I kinda think parasocial freaks are the only ones who can indulge in such an idiocy
His creative choices have been very interesting. I like artists who want to do different things without worrying about how the audience will like or dislike it.
Honestly, I’m not getting paid for watching this. It’s not a work related thing. I’m only watching it for Namkoong cos I have been his fan since The Veil. But I wouldn’t call myself obsessed. Obsessed is a fan who listen to Arirang / Life of a show girl and thinks that mediocrity is a masterpiece. So I like Namkoong but not swiftie / Army level love. I am gonna call the shit if I see it as that. And so far this show is serving me bad writing and bad direction.
The bad guy is at large. And we’re all normal here. Hugging our mom, and the wife is chilling at her parents’ place.
The male lead just doing his slow blinking and wasting time. He just caught someone killing the criminal’s accomplice, a key witness in the investigation. The security guard asleep at the job. And why is everyone acting like a marraige counsellor now?
The criminal, who is at large, his visual and personal identity is known but still the news is not blasting it to the citizens as a public warning, and he’s going around South Korea (the surveillance capital of the world, I repeat) like it’s some backwater country where the traffic lights don’t work. 😂 no cyber sweep of his school where he used to work to run cyber forensics on all his devices. No, the bad guy is just sitting out there in the world, enjoying gukbap. 😒 the detective work is so slow, I feel like I’m watching a time lapse show. The story is set in the modern world, while the detectives are from the 70s.
