Interesting. I took that quote from a recent article on the homepage:

SMA appeared on The Blank Menu. I learned she misses her dad and that her mom & brother are chefs who don't like to cook at home. Her meal was all about nostalgia. She got cold and had to put her jacket back. It was kind of sad, really.

This is hard to watch. I haven't been able to view a single episode in one sitting. It takes me multiple sessions to get through each episode, with prolonged breaks.

I am having the hardest time finishing the final episode. I may have to drop this while scant minutes remain.

I am cynical about the lack of morality of the entertainment industry, and how it impedes human choices vis-a-vis respecting others' humanity, rights, & common decency. I assume KSH & KSR are each perpatrators while also victims, in their own ways. And others are involved, some with & some without culpabilities of their own.

I couldn't get past the golf club, I eschew violence except in self-defense &/or protection of others. Invaders, interlopers, & insurgents aught to expect a beating. It's only polite to set boundaries with another in the act of breaching one's personal space. So in this scenario, battery first, next summon the police; questions can come later.

Some people say this is good. I'm willing to believe it except I feel the exact opposite. This drama is a non-starter for me, due to the initial premise. I don't even care to know what the "explanation" is, I'm sure it's good enough to get lots (most, not all) of viewers over it, perhaps even hooked. But not me. I dropped at this at 16:00 in ep 01 when the FL failed to beat the interloper & his assistant with the golf club.

What I wish I had said instead was mention how the divorce insurance team discussed including pro-active remedies to their policy-holders. It's no scam to provide therapeutic & rekindling services. He's even trying to [in episode 4] sell a policy to his ex-brother-in-law, just to help him get back on his feet. Grief coverage is compassionate and if it helps someone get back out there and remarry the benefits will be compounded.

When many claims are filed concurrently (such as with wildfires or earthquakes, etc) the insurance company can go bankrupt. Many USA insurance companies have left California (for example) for this reason. Too risky!

It also has financial terms. The character Jeon Na Rae is a 'quant', and brings modern money-math to the marriage insurance play. (And all the terms which go with it.)

That's cool. I can appreciate the production value. This includes the wedding consumer event, & especially enjoy the fantasy elements: The boss appearing in his window, the giant stacks of insurance documents & the billboard insurance expert lecturing a la Chef Gusteau from the Pixar animated film, Ratatouille.

(Ep12) ML says he "will lay down & roll over like a puppy." And FL says, "do it!" But—judging by his hair color—he is more of a Black Labrador than a Potato Lab, hehe.

I'm also reminded of some J-Dramas: The Honest Realtor (Shojiki Fudosan), & Private Banker (Puraibeto Banka)

Yun Hui Jin made the Kim Soo Hyun declaration (in his tearful statement regarding the late Kim Sae Ron,) "even if I could go back and do it again I would make the same choice." (I would always make a selfish choice regardless of who gets hurt & how much.)

I guess by exposing flaws in YHJ and also the 2FL bestie's betrayal, the 2ML seems not so bad in comparison. A green flag partially stained with just a little bit of human blood.

I enjoyed seeing LDH on an upcoming episode of 'Please Take Care of my Refrigerator' (alongside DEX) via the JTBC YouTube channel. I'll watch it again (with better subtitles) when this appears on Netflix.
