the Man Lead is the problem!
let me start by saying that I like the actor.I saw him in "the day of becoming you" and he was great! my issue is solely with his character in this drama.
the plot:🗯️🗯️
nothing groundbreaking here. two childhood friends falling for each other.
I like this genre and have no issues with the story.
what I didn't like:
1) many drama in this genre usually start from the early school days and then slowly move towards adulthood and work life. after seeing this drama specifically, I think this should always be the case.
our 2 main protagonist constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY, talk about their past together, what happened, specif episodes etc and the drama then shows us the exact same episode and how it played out. the same scene are also included at the end of every episode.
to me I was kind of irritating. you either tell, or show. this constant back and forth was frankly annoying and totally unnecessary to understand that they are close friends. we know it. it is pretty clear.
2) this drama is boring as hell. stuff happens if course and I wish they focused more on that than spending time repeating the same conversations over and over again and constantly go out for lunch.
they spend half of the drama eating.
3) the ml. he is the main reason I'm dropping out.
it becomes clear pretty soon that he is love with his friend but he stubbornly denies it.
on the other hand he gets super jealous and is constantly in his friend's business.
the scene that made me dislike him so much is when he is playing badminton with his group of friends and gets so jealous he literally strikes his other friend head with the ball and doesn't even apologize.
that scene made me so mad.
his is just a simp and a brat.
his whole life revolves around being a butler for his lovely friend.
the worst part is that she thinks it's totally normal. this guy does everything for her and it never crosses her mind that normal "best friends" don't behave like he does.
I am kinda of mad because I actually liked the other couples of the show. the married couple is hilarious, the tech guy and the influencer are interesting too. unfortunately I cannot bring my self to continue watching because the focus is of course going to be the main couple, which I dislike.
the setting was interesting. the female lead works for a bank and we see a more "corporate" environment while the ml works for a media interpose. I was genuinely invested in the story until these 2 made it unwatchable.
it's really a shame.

Is this drama boring? YES, CHEF!
PLOT🗯️🗯️
our story opens up with our poor shin su. Our girl died 3 years ago and is about to turn into an "evil spirit". In order to leave the earth peacefully she has to let go off her grudges, in her case dying as a virgin.
To reach her goal she possesses the body of na bong, a shy cook.
The plan seems to work out until they both fall for the same guy and some inconsistencies about shin su's death arise.
Premise🗯️🗯️
Definitely interesting. Following both a human and a ghost as their "lives" merge was interesting, at first. Primarily because shin su is hilarious.
I liked her character very much.
She is funny, resilient and has a heart of gold.
We grow attached to her even though we already know she is dead and we'll have to let go of her.
On the other side there is na bong.
She is a very timid girl with only her grandma on her side. She wants to follow her dreams and become a chef even though her self esteem is on the ground.
She is connected to the spirits which she sees since forever. That influenced her upbringing and the way she interacts with others.
Even though I understand where she is coming from, I couldn't care for her. She is just so bland a nervous ball.
She looks afraid of both humans and ghosts. For a screen character she is not much Interesting.
Even her love for the chef isn't that much moving. I don't even know if she likes him or just admires him. Seeing her writing about him in her diary came out of no where to me.
The male interest in the drama is this cocky chef. He is a good guy at heart but a bit irritating.
When the love story takes off I felt bad for him, na bong and shin su. That love story doesn't feel real because when he bonds with na bong, she is actually possessed by shin su. Basically he is falling for the ghost without knowing it.
Talking about him specifically I didn't feel any type of way. He's kind of annoying and to bland to move the needle.
The love story🗯️🗯️
To be honest I find the love plot the weakest point of the drama. I wished they focused more on the mystery, the underworld etc.
As said before, the love story didn't feel authentic because the chef is dating the ghost without knowing it. Na bong is boring as hell and he only starts having feeling for her when she is possessed by shin su.
The love story itself was kind of boring. At the very beginning there is this sort of hint at a love story between the chef and his old friend. It felt quite useless to me.
When the chef and na bong get together they feel like father and daughter. They interactions Never scream "unresistable love" even though they talk about liking each other sooooo much and solo deeply.
I'm currently on episode 12 pondering if ditching this drama would be the best thing.
The only thing keeping me interested is the actual mystery around the police guy.
There is also some plot inconsistency.
The spirit lady can see shin su at every corner but doesn't realize the police guy is an evil spirit nor does shin su. She meets him multiple times but never suspects anything.
At the end of episode 12 they address the fact that the chef fell for the ghost. Good for you na bong.

a drama that is NOT really a drama
This is a "slice of life" drama that "slices" a bit too much. There is basically no horizontal plot line going on but theme based episodes with the same characters.
Our protagonists are a bunch of teenagers that navigate through life and bring us along.
It is hard to feel connected to the characters when there is basically no development or "plot" going on.
I cannot say I didn't feel any emotions because some episodes were really touching.
The one when the ml is rebuilding his relationship with his father or when the old neighbor died were really touching. I even cried.
The only dynamic that takes place on multiple episodes is the main couple love story. I found it pretty sweet and considering the nature of the drama, they did a decent enough job but there wasn't "enough" stuff shown in my opinion.
I am making it clear because if you are here for a sweeping love story, this is not the drama for you.
The other love story in the drama is shown pretty poorly. We start on early episodes with the other 2 characters getting closer to then abandon this story line for entire episodes.
I am not saying this is a bad drama, but it isn't really a drama in my opinion.
There is stuff going on but everything is disjointed.
If you like to experience cute, emotional stuff going on without a plot connecting everything together you might still enjoy "lovely us".

unfortunately..NOT INTERESTING ENOUGH.
Plot: Xiao le and yi lan are childhood best friends. They share every aspect of their lives:issues, achievement, familiar problems.
Xiao le is trying to find his way in life without giving in with his father's expectations; yi lan instead knows what she wants to do. Her first love is playing cello just like her mother did. Unfortunately his father is not on her side.
We follow them as they navigate their problems through highschool and adult life.
Observations:
I liked the initial episodes of the drama. There is nothing groundbreaking here to watch but the atmosphere was nice and the characters were cute. I particularly liked the town/ school setting. It was a bit darker than usual school settings. It looked like they went to highschool in forks (twilight's)🤣.
I think the main issue in this drama is that everything is surface level.
We never get into anything too deeply.
Music is a main focus of the drama or at least this should be the case.
I'm still not sure about what kind of school they attended because they were involved all in music on some level, but it looked like a regular highschool instead of a conservatory.
Music is never discussed or shown except for the reoccurring "sorry, I gotta go play cello".
The fact that everytime someone is singing or playing an instrument another track is playing in the background takes you out of the moment.
I get that the actor may not be able to play, but you can cut the camera away from their faces and let a real musician play.
Maybe it was a budget issue, but it didn't help with setting the right tone in certain scenes.
Building momentum was also a big issue. The drama cuts short important or emotional scenes. They cut right in the middle of a scene, they never linger too much to actually make you feel the tension and that has an impact on the romance as well.
I found their love cute but how they got together was frankly a mess.
They jump from being distant, to being cold, to being together, to feel at ease with each other in the blink of an eye.
The whole "senpai" moment was "meh". Yi Lang starts liking him over nothing, confesses her love, than changes her mind. Right after she rejects Xiao le but wants to keep him a friend. She then sees him for a millisecond with a girl and gets jealous and right after starts to look at Xiao le under a different light.
They kiss accidentally and basically get together.
It was a mess and I didn't enjoy it at all.
If she was so adamant in rejecting him first just show me how she comes to terms with seeing him as more than a friend. Let the jealousy build up a bit.
The moment they get caught kissing by their respective parents was weird.
The whole drama we are shown that Xiao le parents are absent from his life , but suddenly they are everywhere and play the role of "comic relief" with yi Lang parents? Totally out of character.
Aside the main couple, the drama focuses also on the love story between the sad ning Ning and Xiao le's best friend.
this love story makes no sense from the very beginning.
Ning Ning was mean for no reason.
Her life revolved around cell even before she dated that guy. She never had time even in highschool but she uses this as an excuse to be a bitch towards her boyfriend.
He did absolutely nothing wrong. Always by her side, secretly helping her , never being a burden and always showing a positive attitude.
She on the other hand kept everything inside, never talked to him about nothing, never found time for him. He was the one always making plans for their couple and she saw it as a nuisance.
To add insult to injury she is the one breaking up with him asking "what is your plan? You need a plan". Girl, he was the only one being pro active in this relationship. He deserved way better.
The third female friend is on and off on our radars. Poor girl she is a third wheel in this drama.
This drama is not bad but it is not super interesting either.
My favourite part was the male lead character and the overall friendship of the main couple.
Everything else is just there for the sake of it.

3 episode were enough...
let's me start by saying that I ve nothing against this genre. I watched plenty of coming of age/ love in highschool drama and they are usually cute and light-hearted.this is no exception, but I just can't bring my self to watch the same stuff without something interesting to latch on.
frankly speaking I'm kind of tired of the "we met in kindergarten for 3 hours and I cannot forget you" trope.
what's so romantic about? I just don't get it.
the ml is probably 17, looking obsessed with a girl he meet eons ago. I get it. your life went downhill and she is probably a nice memory from the past, but his attachment to her right away give me the hick. she is different person now, times passed.
to be honest he creeped me out. If the soundtrack would have been different, he would have looked like a stalker to be honest.
the FL was definitely my favourite part. bubbly, outspoken and a bit stubborn.
her friends looked alright and not as paper thin as other characters in other dramas.
moving on there will probably be cute moments etc but I just didn't find anything to look forward in these 3 episodes.

THAT PERSON YOU'LL DIE FOR...
I have a very hard time reviewing movies because I'm a "series " girlie.I like to explore a story, see characters development over time, so movies are a bit ostic to judge.
plot:
a boy and a girl , who met as kid, see each other again once adult. they fall in love but destiny is not always in our hands..or is it?
the plot is very simple and not that deep which means there isn't that much to talk about.
why do these candles work they they do? I don't know.
does it have something to do with his mother? we don't know.
that's what is good and bad about movies... you have to take everything at face value because there is no time to explore anything.
we speed run through their love story which is basically done in 2 minutes. I didn't feel a particular connection to them but overall we can still feel the love they have for each other.
there is no time to get attached to them as people so I just focused on something universal: the pain of losing your loved one.
you enjoy the movie not because of what is happening TO THEM but because of WHAT is happening to them.
you still feel the fear, the urgency , the worry and the pain even though, unlike other reviewers , I didn't end up crying.
I didn't quite like that the FL tried to contact the ml after her wish because that would basically break the pact you made with destiny.
I think it would have added more pathos If she just stopped looking for him.
the ending is happy because it seems that fate is letting them finally rekindle.
the acting was good overall, the tone of the movie felt right.
definitely an easy watch but don't expect nothing devastating.

DROPPED IT NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE!!!!!!
PLOT:🗯️🗯️
A bubbly girl and a cold guy end up living together. As time goes by they end up developing feelings for each other.
I watched this drama in the past, dropped it and picked it up a second time just to see if anything would change... It didn't.
This drama is cute at the very beginning. I like how they slowly fall in love but after episode 14 everything is so flat and boring. The second time I made it till episode 18 but nothing is really engaging.
When the romance is the main driving force, once the couple is established the drama just dies.
I like me some cute stuff but when "cute scenes" is everything you get I'm out.
I can't stand endless episodes about dating, eating together, hugging etc.
The sub plot in this drama are basically non existing.
The ml is supposed to be a researcher with a fierce competitor in the same project. In the beginning their banter is fine but in the end it gets so repetitive. They say the same stuff over and over.
The other characters are paper thin which means outside the main couple there is no one else to focus your attention on.
The main leads aren't the most interesting people either especially once they get together.
They are frankly annoying. I particularly disliked how the FL treats her bestie. I know that you just got a new boyfriend but your friend is sad, she just need to vent a bit and you treat her like an inconvenience.
You live with with your guy 24/7, is it too hard to spend some "girl time"?
The ml isn't any better. He has no empathy for anyone, is obsessed by his girl and spends his time googling solutions to the most mundane stuff. Annoying.
The actors are fine I like them unfortunately, I don't feel the same way towards their respective characters.
I would recommend this drama only if you really are into couples spending time together without a strong plot behind them.

SADISTIC ASSHOLE & DELULU MASOSCHIST.
Basic plot:🗯️🗯️
a guy comes out of jail and is about to restart his live. He's on a mission to take revenge against those who wronged hum. We immediately go back to the past and start to see how the events that brought him to jail unfold..
Let's talk about this drama shall we?
I fricking devoured the first 18 episodes.
Initial observations 🗯️🗯️
The start is really strong and intriguing but at episode 19 I had to stop because i was so mad. It took me an entire month to come back and finally finish this thing.
Reason? The 2 main leads were really pissing me off. At the start of the story we obviously meet our ml and fl and they are fine , but in the middle point they become such toxic people I had to pause and take a break.
Main characters 🗯️🗯️
Unfortunately this will be their role during the entire drama. These two are ,frankly speaking ,toxic to each other and other people.
Where they are together the world ceases to exist and they treat everyone like shit. Lao gan, their so called "best friend" is a perfect example.
I know that lu xun is Designed to be a cocky asshole with a "supposed" high moral compass but I couldn't stand him and the "princess" wasn't any better.
She only cares about how the ml feels or if he can help her out. She disregards everyone who ever says anything bad about him.
She is unable of criticisms when it comes to liu xu.
Lu xun knows he is better than anyone around him but keeps humiliating his peers for frankly no good reason.
Lao gao ark gets out of hand at the end but he was kind of justified in his hatred towards Lu xun.
When the main couple is split it doesn't get any better. They are assholes to everyone around them and when they are together they are absolutely toxic to each other.
In the later episodes Lu xun and Zhu Yun are obviously flirting with each other but lu xun, after making a fool of Zhu Yun, gives her the most humiliating speech ever. He says such heinous things about their past love story I personally would have slapped him and left forever.
I know that he supposedly pushing her again to "protect her" ( in a very twisted way) but nothing justifies the amount of mean stuff he says to her in this drama.
Zhun yu is saving his ass left and right and he mistreats her just to avoid giving her any "hope" Romance wise.
At the end of the drama I think he is a narcissist asshole and she is a delusional masochist.
In the 27th episode specifically he lashes on her because of his jeoulosy I was frankly disgusted by what he said.
Is it frustrating to witness all these interactions especially when it comes to Zhu Yu. This guy treats her like shit all the time and she is willing to sacrifice anything and anyone for him.
Later in the drama she is even sorry for "abandoning" Lu xun. What?? You didn't abandon him he literally cut you off of his life. Stop justifying this psycho.
She also has a guy running after her for years and she strings him along never actually putting a stop to his feelings towards her. He is the one to give up.
I think she was just addicted to being the "elected" person of a so called "genius".
Some ridiculous moments🗯️🗯️
Talking about genius, in the drama we see that Lu xun is trying to build his life again and fight against his ex corporation. It was hilarious to see a big tech company fricking out for a 4 member team of a small company. Are u serious? The script really want us to believe the Lu xun is an invincible force. C'mon guys at a certain point it becomes laughable.
A huge corporation with dozen of employees against a single programmer...
Positive:🗯️🗯️
I know I sound crazy but I liked the drama overall. How ? I don't know. It was engaging and the boring parts were mainly b roles which I skipped like crazy. You might hate the characters but still find the drama enjoyable.
The whole battling against one another was decent.
the chemistry between the actors is undeniable. they have a magnetic aura around them.
Music:🗯️🗯️
Pretty good. I even saved same songs.
Would I recommend it? Yes.
Would I re-watch it? Hell no.

AS CLICHE AS IT GETS....
I cannot say this is a "bad "drama.this is a well wrapped home work checking all the right boxes but after watching 2 episodes and a half that's enough to understand where we are going.
this is the same story told over and over again without adding any novelty.
I guess that some people might find this cute and keep watching and I'm not saying they shouldn't. I am just here to "warn" others like me that already enjoyed this kind of story elsewhere with better writing and characters.
this drama is literally a blue print for chinese dramas
lover from highschool meet after years✅
accidentally falling into one's arms✅
fake boyfriend needed to show off ✅
bickering second couple✅
office couple✅
quite algid male✅
bubble FL✅
if you like these tropes and don't pay attention to characters or dialogues this might still be enjoyable.

strong start, awful middle, ridiculous end!
this drama has definitely a strong start: cute, nostalgic and light-hearted which to me, fades quite quickly.we meet our FL and her 2 buddies. they navigate love, friendship and academic matters... or do they?
on the surface we should be witnessing a close group of friends who supports each other but that is far from the truth.
the only reason these 3 stick together is because of a shared love interest. the female lead has a supposed "best friend" which these 2 guys treat like a sub human for no good reason.
starting the drama I was rooting for the main guys but after seeing how the treat this port girl I couldn't root for them anymore.
later on this girl becomes cartonishly evil for no reason because they just want to make the main group shine.
the FL should be this caring girl but she absolutely unable to see how her 2 friends treat the "mean girl".
she is totally oblivious. her friend gets injured several times and they don't even ask how she is doing which is basic human decency.
the cherry on top is that the "mean girl" asks the FL is she has any feelings towards the main guy and the FL clearly says "no, he is just a friend to me exactly like you are".
but then , when the ml is throwing a birthday party, FL gets super mad at her friend for giving a present to the ml.
what? like anyone at that party she gave the guy a present, but FL gets mad only at her because she is supposedly making a move on someone she clearly stated she likes (unlike female lead which lies on her feelings).
after that part I couldn't care anymore for the main couple. FL is nice only when it doesn't inconvent her.
after this whole drama, the series transform the "evil girl" into a psycho for no reason except for making the other guy "the good ones". insane.
putting the main protagonist aside, this drama is incapable of creating a group dynamics. these classmates barely talk to one another but we are supposed to believe they ll stick together forever.. why?
the drama focuses excessively on the school theme it becomes pretty boring at the end.
the "romance" aspect is there but not there. we see the main couple clearly getting close to one another but until the last 4 episodes nothing happens between them.
if you are looking for interactions between a couple that is not the drama for you.
reaching the 3/4 mark this drama gets heavy all of a sudden. people get sick, people move abroad, people disappear...I feel they wanted to be dramatic so badly putting all their strength into a heavy storyline which will bring us into a "intense " end.
it didn't work for me.
there is barely any background of the characters discussed for the first 16 episode...
the ending: oh boy what a cliche.
many people approach the "let's meet after x amount of years" plot line but this was just embarrassing.
30 years old girl and you are still thinking about a guy you meet in high school which didn't contact you in 10 years??
how? how is this romantic? and the worst part is that he is being following her lurking in the shadows for years without ever telling her.
I get that is easier to lose contact with your friend who went to Germany, but this guy went to Shanghai..not the Moon.
at the end I feel these people only cared about each other and no one else.
I get that if you are 13 this can look amazing, but over the age of 13 I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

good enough if you are looking for something light hearted. if not.. just skip
This drama is a sillier version of "something in the rain".Plot: a 31 years old single lady is courted by her way younger childhood friend. Will they or won't they?
Strong points:✅
Good acting.
The portrait of "older" women (I use that term loosely) as desirable and beautiful despite a society which constantly pushes for younger and cute girls as peak beauty.
The development of the "mean girl". I really like her ark. She starts as an immature girl with a broken heart and becomes a more mature person.
Weak points❌
The ml lead. I love this actor. I recently saw him in "love and speed" where he played a sad sexy boy. The amount of sex appeal he portrait in that drama is insane🤣🤣 which creates a big contrast with his role in this drama.
His character in this drama is frankly cute at first but extremely annoying from the middle point.
This guy has no life nor personality outside of the fl. Through flashbacks we discover that everything he does, feel, or want was influenced by his childhood sister.
Even music, which is his dream, is basically the result of his "sister " telling him she liked a singer when she was a kid.
He is way to dependent on her and acts like a love puppy.
He signed a contract to come back in town and basically get together with his beloved "sister" and disregards everything this contract involves.
He has no respect for anyone else except her and constantly tries to jeopardize his own carrier.
They get together too soon. She never saw him as a potential lover but after a couple of home cooked meals and some sweet words she is all over him. If you really considered him just a brother I feel the internal struggle should have been a bit more intense.
The parentification here is real. At the beginning of each episodes we get bits of their childhood and it's clear both of their parents just left 2 children basically unattended. These should be "light hearted" scenes but it's quite appaling to watch sometimes.
At episode 27 I started fast forwarding like crazy. These 2 elast episodes are basically fillers.
Conclusions:
This could have been a realistic depiction of a couple who struggles with age gap but at the end it became pretty unrealistic. That's not a critique. It is just a light hearted ROM com good if you are looking for something light hearted without much struggle.
Recommendations:
Recommended if your a looking for a cute , fluffy love story.
If you'd like a more serious version of this trope, I recommend "something in the rain".

strong start...boring second half.
let's get this out of the way. did I like this drama? yes. is it perfect? nothing is perfect.plot: we follow a group of teenagers throughout their highschool and uni years and witness their growth.
let's start with the positives:
this is a very sweet drama. the representation of youth and everything around it comes off as sweet and relatable.
I like how the drama shows different kinds of family dynamics (single parents, busy parents, brother rivalry, etc) and personal emotions.
this is a slice of life show and especially in the first half this is done quite well and in a very sweet and enjoyable way.
the main ml is very sweet and reminds of a younger Esther yu. the cast was a good choice and the characters are all funny and well portrait.
the soundtrack is very pleasant and "youth feeling".
onto the negatives:
I liked that the main ml is not the usual asshole. he is of course the representation of the "cold guy" but he is not mean in any way compared to others teenager dramas. on the other hand he is literally a stone wall. I feel most of the time the FL is talking to her self while he is there touching his neck, smirking and coughing.
not really a thrilling characters. but he is a nice guy.
the series in itself feels really predictable. there isn't much of a plot going on and even though it is sweet to experience all these moments with the cast it starts to feel pretty boring mid way.
especially reaching episode 17 I felt we weren't going anywhere.
the characters don't really develop. there stay the same even though time passes and their dynamics stay still.
that's one of the reasons I feel the show should have ended when they finished highschool.
we kinda see where they are heading and I feel there wasn't really a need for a "detailed" ending.
the college episode are frankly so boring and inconsequential. I admit I skipped basically all of them fast forwarding to the part where Jia Jiang and Guan run (I forget their names😅) get together.
frankly speaking at a certain point I was more invested in their dynamic than into the main couple.
speaking of the main couple, watching them grow closer was sweet but also "blue balls inducing". at a certain point I asked myself what was the point. they grew closer but It didn't look like they were acting trying to date or anything else.
personal observation:
this stems from a personal perspective but watching some Chinese show is sometimes painful. being westerners is hard to sympathize with family forcing their kids to stop living to just study. teachers prohibiting literally teenagers to date is something I cannot wrap my head around. especially giving the fact that many household expect their kids to get married as soon as they graduate uni. I am sorry. you keep your kids celibate for years and then expect them to procreate without any experience....
I know at the end this is just a cultural clash with I am used to on a certain level.
overall this is a very sweet drama especially when it comes to friendship.
should you watch it? it depends on how much your care about a plot or if you just enjoy vibes.

whoever thinks this is good... give me your pot ?
I starter watching this after reading the stellar reviews.Currently on episode 1... I hope its one of those dramas which get better over time.
So far this a cringe show and a pretty boring one.
The acting is really "soap opera" like and so is the editing.
Sometime is hard to even hear some actor speak.
This first episode doesn't make any sense. A guy falls from such a tall building yet he is alive?
The step bro seemed to have some kind of relationship with the ml but nobody's rushes to the hospital.. not even to save some face?
Your sister just tried to murder your step bro... aren't you in..shock?
On episode 4: still waiting for the "funniest lines" some reviewers have ever heard.
The characters are frankly boring as hell and the acting is either too extreme or lacking in its entirety.
The ml character is so boring and Franky not a great actor.
I don't even know why she is so obsessed with him.
In the real world she didn't know him and only witnessed his assassination's attempt.
In this "fictional" world it would make more sense if she felt some kind of "obligation" to make him happy to repay him of her shortcoming (not going to the police) in the real world.
Cringe, senseless and boring.
I'm dropping it.

dropped at episode 27
I was excited about this drama. I meet these actor for the first time in "love game in Easter Land" and I was anticipating seeing them in a modern "set".This drama started really well. I was looking for something light hearted and funny and I wasnt disappointed until about half way through.
The gimmicks between the characters start to get repetitive, and the cliche are numerous.
The 2 main character are basically in their late 20's but they are so childish. Sure, 2 conventionally attractive people never had a crush... Sure sure.
I know this is light-hearted but it's a pretty unrealistic drama.
This unknown girls starts working as an editor and everything goes so smoothly she lands contract after contract.
The "forced roommate" is a well known trope but why is she supposed to live with a stranger even after she gains some money? No pride girl?
Even after the main conflict arises, she basically forgives him after a week. Girl, you said it yourself, he manipulated you, lied to you and after hearing 2 sweet words you are alright back. He basically drags her into his house against her will.
Speaking about the second couple... They had good moments and bad moments. At episode 26 we don't really know what happened in their past. The editor is really annoying and ready to do anything to save her ass at work. I get she is stuck between a rock and a hard place but she always prioritizes her work even after being so obsessed with the same guy she betrayed. I don't know . Should we root for them or not?
The drama starts with more underlying plot lines that basically disappear after episode one. We are introduced too a nepo baby which is supposed to be a rival to main protagonist... It went nowhere.
The Direcror is supposed to be "scheming" to grab power in the publishing company.... He does very little to get anywhere..
And can we please stop creating "tension" by merely making the FL literally fall into the ml arms... It's not romantic, it's poor writing and this drama overuses this trope.
A Xiang..poor girl. The FL best friend has no plot line at all. She is basically a mail man delivering news to the FL.
Episode 27: I am dropping it. It just too boring.
the FL wouldn't basically go anywhere in life without her boyfriend saying her ass.
I would recommend this drama if you are looking for something not too demanding or full of fluff.

good drama...but a bit disappointed.
sure, im a pretty late to the party😅 but here we are.i Ve heard a lor of good things abouts this drama for ages but never picked up. finally I decided to watch this incredible drama and..... I am a bit disappointed.
is it a good drama ? yeah. is it extraordinary ad people said? not really.
this show is basically split in two partsv the first one is more light hearted while the second one is where the real juice is.
the first half felt like one of those drama of the early 2000's. I felt like I was watching full house and not a drama from 2016.
it was so goofy and frankly badly put together.
I still don't know why they needed a sort of "reversed harem" to make this thing work.
the first half was so silly I was abouts to drop it.
everyone is in love with this girl for almost no reason and they all live like happy puppies.
we get some drama moments but they are completely ruined by the music choice.
you get people dying, suffering, crying and in the background they play a silly pop song abouts love confessions?
this ruined the pathos in many scenes.
the second half is frankly speaking the best part and the only interesting one.
I wished they just focused on this kind of storytelling. they should have made an historical drama all the way through.
the political intrigues, the love stories overlapping, betrayals etc were really interesting even though they felt a bit repetitive at times (I skipped some scenes I have to admit).
the Performance from the actors is amazing. they all played wonderfully especially in the emotional scenes. I cried at different points and fortunately no silly music was playing in the background.
overall it feels like a disjointed drama made of 2 parts that don't really feel coesive.
the fact the iu was from the future played a small role and the final scenes felt..meh.
is it worth watching? it depends.
can you stomach a boring first half?
