surprisingly moving !

plot🗯️🗯️
due to a car accident a manhwa writer enters his own creation.
he is on a mission to stop the "evil" female antagonist in order to go back to his own world.
will he succeed?

THOUGHTS🗯️🗯️
I wanted to watch something light hearted and this looked fine. watching the first 2 episodes I wanted to drop it because my cringe-tometer was over the roof but I endured and I'm glad I did!

of course this is a silly drama but it is surprisingly sweet and even moving at times.

the male protagonist is a cocky writer obsessed by himself. when he enters his own manhwa he has to face his own characters and simultaneously face himself.

when writing his comic he poured his heart into it and now has to face the unresolved traumas of his past while completing his mission.

along the way he battles between the rules of the world he created which seems to be the only "destiny. available.

he quickly realises that even though he created this world, his characters have a mind and a heart of their own and interacting with them make him grow.

THE ROMANCE🗯️🗯️
I really liked the relashionship between Lu zixing and he laoshu.
it's not everyday that you see that supposed "bad" girl being the main love interest.

they get to know each other, grow together and fall in love.
I m not gonna lie, they made me tear up a bit.

Lu zixing was an interesting character because she fought all her life against the odds but always had the shortest end of the stick.

seeing her subverting the "destiny" was nice.

THE CHARACTERS 🗯️🗯️
the remaining casts of characters is sweet but overall all boring. that's not a "fault", because they are the actual protagonist of a stereotypical manhwa and they are LITERALLY written to be that way😅.

overall they are still enjoyable to watch and are a good contribution to this imaginary world.

THE ENDING 🗯️🗯️
I didn't particularly like the last episode.
I don't know what I expected because it is a headache to solve this kind of plot.
I'm glad they end up together (happy ending don't worry) but the last episode really seemed rushed and not well though through.

LAST CONSIDERATIONS🗯️🗯️
on paper this looks a bit like "ex-straordinary you" but I feel the Korean drama is slightly better.

should you watch it?
definitely. it is a fun time, the set is nice, the actors are good and you get emotions.
perfect for when you are feeling down and just want to watch something "cute".

the Devil wears EYELINER

PLOT🗯️🗯️
The peaceful world of human and immortals is suddenly disrupted by the arrival of the demon god.
He intends to bring terror and pain to the earth. Everything seems lost until li su su travels back in time to track down the evil spirit and subvert his evil destiny.
Will she succeed?

FIRST CONSIDERATIONS:
let me start by giving a shout out to @charleymiamore.
I was about to drop this drama on the second episode, but this user reassured me about the show improving later on... And it absolutely did!
I am so glad I didn't drop this cause it's probably one of the best dramas I've watched.

THE DRAMA🗯️🗯️
The reason why i was about to drop the drama is the main female lead.
She travels back in time to stop the devil god who is still an innocent man at this point in time.
I understand her hatred towards him but girl, you are on a mission and are about to fail before even starting.
When she first sees this man she is basically leaving him to die in the snow and says all the possible things to make him dislike her.
Girl please😭😭 you have to avoid he turning evil, not giving him more reasons to hate this world.
This kind of wishy washy mentally in the female lead is present in the majority of the drama. Though understandable is it highly counterproductive.
In one scene she is literally punishing him with a whip! Stoppp please turn your brain on!!!!

Once we establish her mission the drama really kicks in and becomes highly entertaining.
I kid you not, except for the ending part, I wasn't bored.
I am usually scared by such lenghty dramas because I get bored so easily it is really hard to stay involved for 40 episodes. If you are like me, don't worry at all. Sure, some scenes might be boring from time to time but nothing worrysome.

THE CHARACTERS 🗯️🗯️
Where to start? I think I never felt so bad for a character as I did for tantai jin. He is one of the most tragic antiheros I've ever seen.
The world beated him up, then chewed him, then spit on him, then burned him up.
His destiny is so tragic and full of pain, betrayal I cried even thinking about it.
At first the actor wasn't really to my liking but he grew on me so much. He did a MAJESTIC job. I'm sure It wasn't easy because in many scenes he is basically talking to a different version of himself but he was wonderful.

Bai lu was great! Her character wasn't always my cup of tea but she was phenomenal and together they have a great chemistry in my opinion.

The other actors are also top notch. There is really nothing to add. Awesome.

THE BEST PART:🗯️🗯️
In these kind of drama we usually explore the 3 lives route: mortal, immortal, gods.
I tend to be pretty uninterested in secondary routes because they usually don't add that much to the story but this time it was so good I kinda stopped caring about the main plot and just wanted everything to end with the second part (the god story).
The battle between the gods and the evil god was so so so good. Guys it was a trip. I was so invested!
The fighting scenes especially were spectacular!!
I literally forgot this was supposed to be just a deviation from the main story.

THE ROMANCE:🗯️🗯️
I want to preface that if skin ship and lot of kisses are among your musts, this drama might not be your best choice.
The romance is an excellent enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers.😆
Two people fighting their love and hate for each other. Sacrificing, deceiving... Chef's kiss.
Visually though, even though we have kisses and intimate scenes I can't wholeheartedly say they are "hot".
This drama is more about meaning and deep feelings than superficial "two hot people making out".

I also really liked the other couples.
The Fox demon and the general were lovely and of course tragic 😭 I really cared for them unlike the third couple which I couldn't care less.

COMPLAINTS🗯️🗯️
I love this drama but of course I have to also criticize it ok?

🔪The cgi was mostly good but also goofy sometimes.

🔪the makeup was bad. It got a bit better towards the end but I'm definitely not a fan.
The ml has gray eyebrows for a good chunk of the drama. The eyeliner was a must for basically every character.
The foundation...oh my the foundation.. in many scenes you could clearly see the difference in skin tones between the actors' faces and their neck.

🔪the magical props looked so cheap

🔪How many times did the ml have different eye colors? The answer is ...yes!
In the span of seconds he switched so many times and some contacts lenses were so bad.

🔪There a lot of inconsistencies in many fields.
The protagonists are in a field and 2 seconds later the FL has a mortar , a pestle and is crushing herbs. Where did you get that girl?
Even when on the run they keep changing outfits. How? Just how?🤣

🔪Magic powers: when the FL arrives in the past she clearly states she CANT use use her powers because they are really weak.
This rule gets quickly forgotten and she uses her power more and more as time goes by.

🔪Sometimes they say something is diffilcult to do and 2 seconds later it gets done. (Like leaving the abyss)

🔪When tantai jin leaves the Sheng state he immediately becomes a loving king. Pretty weird considering the fact that he is unable to feel emphaty for anyone in this moment.

🔪The ending dragged a bit too much the whole being good/evil. It was an exausting back and forth.

🔪 Su Su biological father being evil wasn't really a plot twist. I don't know if the script intended it that way, because as the audience , we know what he did during the gods war.

🔪Li su su decisione making: I am gonna be honest. Sometimes I didn't understand her.
When she killed tantai jin in the mortal world, I don't know why she didn't tell him that she loved him.
You clearly love him, you have to kill him, you know you are the only person in this world he loves. You could have said at least something nice to this guy who only got hate in his life.
With hindsight this was probably done to push the third act of him pursuing her but I was too heartbroken to be rational🤣
She also hated him in many instances when it was actually her fault. She did something to him, he reacted , and she was butthurt.
Tantai jin always took shit for everyone for something THEY DID.
Poor guy😭😭😭

🔪🔪the dubbing is really bad in some parts.

🔪🔪 if you dislike seeing people spitting blood, that's definitely not the drama for you. that's the only injury they all experience 😅😅

BEST QUOTE 🗯️🗯️
"Since you don't want my love , you can taste my hate "

Man ...what a banger

CONCLUSIONS 🗯️🗯️
I could rant forever over this drama but I know nobody cares .🤣

Should you watch it?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

two starved people, craving love..

I don't know what it is but if Korean dramas make your heart pump, Japanese dramas (the good ones) scratch a deeper itch, something basic yet deep.

plot🗯️🗯️
we meet kazuya. a guy working in an office and leading a somewhat normal life. he lives with his girlfriend and they seem happy but... something between them is missing.

on the other side we have sei. he works in the same office as kazuya even though they don't know each other. he also has a significant other in his life but things are quite complicated.

one day, kazuya accidentally sends the wrong email to a stranger. they keep in touch and one day, out of pure coincidence they meet in real life...

the drama🗯️🗯️
the story is pretty simple yet interesting.
the is something so basic about it yet so deep.

both kazuya and sei have come to terms with their lives, cheating them selves into thinking their way of living, even though lacking, is still enough.

love is enough right?
any kind of love? do we accept what others are willing to give us without asking for more?
are we selfish or not grateful enough?

kazuya and sei are both trapped in a sort of "golden* cage. kazuya has a girlfriend that he loves very much as does she. their relationship is stable and comfortable. maybe too comfortable.. kazuya struggles with the lacking of sexual intimacy but he is too respecfull and enamoured to do something about other then being sad about it.

sei, lives with his childhood friend. at the very beginning is not really clear what kind of bond these two share , but sei is definitely not satisfied.
his friend tries to be there for him being a "provider", but what sei desires more is intimacy, both emotionally and physically.

when kazuya and sei meet they completely understand each other's pain of not being enough for someone you love.
feeling like what you get is what you deserve and asking for more is selfish.

there were some moments when I really felt their pain.
when kazuya and sei are having sex, sei says "I don't know how someone could not desire you, you are not bad, you are not disgusting".
man, I think kazuya and myself started crying at the same time.
it was so simple but so effective.
after missing so many answers from his girlfriend, hearing sei being so direct and honest must have felt like rain in the desert.

I really liked the bond kazuya and sei share because they compensate each other.

I could go on and on about this serie but I doubt anyone would be willing to read🤣🤣

ok let's move to stuff I didn't like❌
1) I know this is a short drama and things must be "tight" but I found the scene of kazuya crying in the cafe lounge at the office a bit too much. I know you feel deeply , but it was too much too soon boo boo.

2) the "explanation " from sei's lovers.
I don't know guys, the whole spiel about the death of his parents felt like and excuse.
you knew all along what sei felt for you. you treated him like a immaculate being who shouldn't be touched to avoid ruining his purity.
I didn't buy it.

3)kazuya' girlfriend.
sure, she must be a super lovely girl, but she lacked any communication skills.
at least kazuya attempted to clear things up, she on the other hand never tried.

watching him feeling useless instead of just telling him how you feel looked a lot selfish. especially considering the fact that she kept yapping about her friends getting married or pregnant.

if you already knew you lose sex drive after a while, just tell him. this is BL. if we can tackle being gay, we can as well talk about asexuality, demisexuality and everything on the spectrum.
it would have being interesting especially thinking that in Japan many people have a sexless marriage.

things I liked✅
1) the actors, especially kazuya.

2) kazuya's friend spilling the beans about his girlfriend not finding him attractive. girl, you saved that man from a huge headache.

3) cinematography in general.

definitely worth the watch!

yamato's eye are captivating!?

plot🗯️🗯️
Yamato is a highschooler. since forever he has been in love with his childhood best friend but never felt confident to express his love fearing he would be rejected. as time goes on Yamato is no longer able to keep his secret. how will kakeru feel?

the drama:🗯️🗯️
this is a pretty standard BL highschool drama. I saw this plot many times but there is just something about it that keeps me coming back.

being gay is not easy anywhere (unfortunately) but especially in a society like Japan. through these drama we see a more "accepting" environment and maybe this is what makes these drama so sweet. there are a safe space.

I cannot say there is something special about this drama but the actors do a good enough job to keep you watching.

both Yamato and kakeru are good in their respective roles even though I must admit, I fell for yamato's actors. his eyes are so intense and I really liked his voice. it was warm, soothing. a delight.
kakeru was also a good match. his chaotic energy was entertaining.

the drama is pretty short and I don't feel like criticizing anything in particular.

it was sweet but not over the top. I liked that kakeru loved his friend so much that he took his time to really sort his feelings out. it must be a shock to receive a love confession from an old friend.

overall they did a good job at showing yamato's pain and kakeru though process.

just a note for you guys.
if you expect skin ship this is not the drama for you.

there is a kiss at the end of the show to signify they becoming a couple.
this is a sweet drama not a passionate one.

If I have to nitpick I'd say that the other characters are pretty irrelevant. the sister is just there and the friends are basically background.
I was kind of wondering if the blond guy was dating that other friend he always brought along but the drama doesn't give us an answer.

overall if you are looking for a low stake drama, short, without much of a plot, this is a decent choice.

the Man Lead is the problem!

let me start by saying that I like the actor.
I saw him in "the day of becoming you" and he was great! my issue is solely with his character in this drama.

the plot:🗯️🗯️
nothing groundbreaking here. two childhood friends falling for each other.
I like this genre and have no issues with the story.

what I didn't like:
1) many drama in this genre usually start from the early school days and then slowly move towards adulthood and work life. after seeing this drama specifically, I think this should always be the case.

our 2 main protagonist constantly, and I mean CONSTANTLY, talk about their past together, what happened, specif episodes etc and the drama then shows us the exact same episode and how it played out. the same scene are also included at the end of every episode.
to me I was kind of irritating. you either tell, or show. this constant back and forth was frankly annoying and totally unnecessary to understand that they are close friends. we know it. it is pretty clear.

2) this drama is boring as hell. stuff happens if course and I wish they focused more on that than spending time repeating the same conversations over and over again and constantly go out for lunch.
they spend half of the drama eating.

3) the ml. he is the main reason I'm dropping out.
it becomes clear pretty soon that he is love with his friend but he stubbornly denies it.
on the other hand he gets super jealous and is constantly in his friend's business.

the scene that made me dislike him so much is when he is playing badminton with his group of friends and gets so jealous he literally strikes his other friend head with the ball and doesn't even apologize.
that scene made me so mad.
his is just a simp and a brat.
his whole life revolves around being a butler for his lovely friend.
the worst part is that she thinks it's totally normal. this guy does everything for her and it never crosses her mind that normal "best friends" don't behave like he does.

I am kinda of mad because I actually liked the other couples of the show. the married couple is hilarious, the tech guy and the influencer are interesting too. unfortunately I cannot bring my self to continue watching because the focus is of course going to be the main couple, which I dislike.

the setting was interesting. the female lead works for a bank and we see a more "corporate" environment while the ml works for a media interpose. I was genuinely invested in the story until these 2 made it unwatchable.

it's really a shame.

it bored me to death!

on paper this looked like a light, funny show. the reviews were good and I trusted them..

I made it just until episode 3.
I know that some drama need a bit of time to start kicking in but after 3 episodes I was so bored I couldn't keep going on.

plot: I girl has a crush on a guy, which Is also a famous Mangaka.
she ends up joining his team along side other characters which help the artist complete his work.

the first 3 episodes are used to basically introduce the characters. they are over the top, cartoonish, which is not bad per se. unfortunately "cringe" humor has to be done right.

I read reviews about people holding their stomach because the show was so funny. I guess these "funny moments" come later in the drama because every attempt at humor in the first episodes lands flat.

I didn't even smirk. chuckle. nothing.
the only cute scene I can recall is the one where the main couple is holding an umbrella and still getting wet.

the characters as I said are really exaggerated which is fine, but I didn't find them likable in any way.
corny dialogues are probably the main culprit.

I don't even get why the female lead has a crush on the Magaka.
she basically knows nothing about him, even thinks he a sort of gangster (which she doesn't like) and doesn't know he is the famous Mangaka she likes.

he on the hand is like a robot. in 3 episodes I couldn't pin point any trait of his personality.
I guess he could be called "methodic" when it comes to his work.

I don't find him believable as a Mangaka either. he basically stalks people and just drawns what he sees. inspiration is one thing, a one on one copy of poses, statements is another.

I know that the show is probably targeted at a younger audience but that doesn't excuse poor writing.

Disney movies are for kids, butt adults can still enjoy the story and the artistry.

a soap opera full of cheaters

Started okay, became annoying.
this looked like a "cheap" soap opera (which it is) and I was ready to get some corny drama and have a blast.
I did have fun, but towards the end the characters were all annoying bad people.

Plot🗯️🗯️
Smile, a petite cute girl is very shy. She has an Insta love with kyro but doesn't know how to approach such a "cool" guy. She decides to hire a boy from the "boy for rent" service which is going to teach her how to love like an "adult". Along the way feelings get intangled and the relationship with badz gets more complicated than a simple cold contract.

Observations:
The premise was intriguing enough to lure me in. The drama revolves around 4 characters: smile, the shy girl,
badz the boy she hires,
Liz, badz actual girlfriend
and kyro, another boy from the boy service, which ends up falling for Liz.

The way their relationships intertwine is interesting enough to keep you watching.
On some level they are all "somewhat" bad people, expect for smile maybe, and give us Good entertainment.
Unfortunately towards the end, their bad "dids" pile up and the drama becomes more annoying.

Characters:🗯️🗯️
Smile. She is the one that sets things in motion hiring badz to be her sensei when it comes to romantic stuff.
Smile is very cute at the beginning which makes you like her instantly. Unfortunately, except her "quirkiness" , there isn't much to this character .
She has no backstory, interests or anything else going on. I don't even know what she studies.
She likes kyro for no reason except his looks I guess, which to me isn't enough to hire someone to learn how to seduce men.
She wants to change her entire way of being just to be liked by this guy.
It would be more understandable if she was a highschooler, but she is in college!
I don't like how the drama let her be SEXUALLY ASSAULTED for literally 5 times just to give the chance to badz of saving her.
It was insane to watch. She has no trauma at all. They never discuss these things once they are over. Assaults shouldn't be a plot device.

Badz: this guy made me mad. He is forced to work as an escort basically to pay back his sister's debt. His sister is an asshole who couldn't resist Host club boys and doesn't care about what her brother has to do in order to pay HER debt.
Badz on the other hand keeps his "part time job" hidden from his girlfriend because if she knew "she would try to help him out". Boy, how is this a problem? I thought a bigger problem would be if she wasn't ok with you meeting girls..
He keeps this secret from Liz for the entire show, when telling her could have being the solution to all his problems.
Once he enters the contract with smile, everytime she is in trouble he goes to her , which is fine, but he never tells Liz what he is doing. You could have easily said you were helping out a friend. Instead he keeps his mouth shut and makes things worse everytime.
I didn't particularly like he being wishy washy with smile. On one hand he helps her with kyro, on the other hand he sabotages her.
It's clear he is starting to care for smile but he also wants to reconnect with Liz.
Definitely not the romantic hero the audience seems to find him to be.
On a more technical note I didn't particularly like the actor. To be honest I don't think he is a good actor.

Liz: Liz is the character everyone was shitting on but I think she is the most interesting one.
When the drama starts she is actually the victim. She loves her boyfriend but he keeps disappearing, not answering calls. She thinks he is cheating , which is a believable explanation, and tries to "distract" her self with kyro.
Don't get me wrong , she is still bad, because while she is enjoying her time with kyro, she accused badz of cheating on her. Girl, you did it to.
Her friend being a snitch didn't help. She encourages Liz in cheating on badz but then acts like Liz isn't doing the same.
Liz is one of the few characters that gets some "background". She is the daughter of a mistress and feels like her family doesn't care for her.
I actually liked how Liz and kyro are supportive of each in case of need. They both share a shattered family and understand the struggle of feeling alone in your own home.
Liz becomes also a sort of meme.
Her ever changing hair color gave me a headache.😅

Kyro: Kyro is the stereotypical bad boy with a sad past. I didn't particularly like his character but appreciated some dynamics he was involved in.
First of all, I don't get why he works for the company. He is technically the CO founder. Did he just wanted some easy chicks to play with?
His motivation for liking Liz is the most mundane one : she is the only one that ever said no.
Even though I liked how he matures with Liz and starts to be more "serious", I was disappointed at how he still was available to meet other girls, for example smile.
It is pretty clear at a certain point that he likes Liz, but for some reason he still plays the Casanova Role.

Boys for rent: someone please explain me how a service that recruits students has so much money and acts like a Mafia organization.
They were worse than loan shark in Korean dramas😅🤣 way over the top..
It felt cartonishly evil.

Conclusions:
If you are looking for a cheap thrill and over the top moments, this show might be for you.
Don't look for much logic, lower your expectations, don't bother about deep stuff (like sexual assaults, yikes) and enjoy this madness.

a drama that is NOT really a drama

This is a "slice of life" drama that "slices" a bit too much.

There is basically no horizontal plot line going on but theme based episodes with the same characters.

Our protagonists are a bunch of teenagers that navigate through life and bring us along.

It is hard to feel connected to the characters when there is basically no development or "plot" going on.

I cannot say I didn't feel any emotions because some episodes were really touching.

The one when the ml is rebuilding his relationship with his father or when the old neighbor died were really touching. I even cried.

The only dynamic that takes place on multiple episodes is the main couple love story. I found it pretty sweet and considering the nature of the drama, they did a decent enough job but there wasn't "enough" stuff shown in my opinion.

I am making it clear because if you are here for a sweeping love story, this is not the drama for you.

The other love story in the drama is shown pretty poorly. We start on early episodes with the other 2 characters getting closer to then abandon this story line for entire episodes.

I am not saying this is a bad drama, but it isn't really a drama in my opinion.

There is stuff going on but everything is disjointed.

If you like to experience cute, emotional stuff going on without a plot connecting everything together you might still enjoy "lovely us".

WASTED POTENTIAL!

Enemies to lovers is probably one of my favorites tropes. So, when I saw this drama title I was super excited... The excitement though didn't last that long.
Was there an enemy to lovers tropes? Yes.
Was is it any good? Absolutely not.

Plot👉🏻
Our doormat FL works as a journalist. She is not appreciated and everyone treats her like shit. One day she is forced to part take in an event and get an interview with our famous ml. Things don't go as planned and the ml mistakes our girl for a paparazzi. Mad at her, he smashed her belongings. Our FL sees red and throws a shoe at him. This moment goes viral and she gets fired. Mad at the idol she accept to partecipe in a reality show with him for the purpose of taking revenge.

I think that the premise was really good but the execution was horrible.
Let's start by saying that the first episodes are really boring, the middle part feels really repetitive and surprisingly, the last episode are the best.

When our protagonists start filming their reality show, I expected an endless list of attemps by the FL to sabotage the ml. After all, she was there to dig dirt on him. Let me tell you that barely anything happens. She is supposed to be a journalist but her investigating skills are non existing, I expected her to secretly tape their private conversations when the cameras are not rolling to really capture how rude he is towards her at the very beginning. The only thing she does is typing out her thoughts about him. Girl, what kind of evidence is that? How can you write something merely based on your words?

While filming there are also tepid attempts at inconvenience him, but they are so tame it is laughable. Most of the time the camera crew is basically pulling her leg and making her look stupid as hell,.

What was that reality show even supposed to be? They literally do nothing and most of the time the producers have no plans at all about their schedule. They are basically being fake nice in front of the cameras.

It was so disappointing because when the FL threw her shoe at the idol, it looked like she had enough about being mistreated by everyone and wanted to be more fierce full. Well, that didn't happen. Throughout the whole drama she keeps being her old "doormat" self.

I don't have much too say about the ml character because overall he made sense as a character. The only thing is that he was so incredibly nice to everyone it was kind of irritating, the drama really wanted to picture him as a saint.

Love story👉🏻
I find the romance to be the weakest part of the show.
Let's start by saying that it doesn't make sense when the ml leads starts liking the FL.
Sure, while filming the reality they start talking and understanding each other more but they didn't get along that much to justify a romance. They barely talked and the ml was still rude to the FL.

The manager said that the idol mistreating the FL was a sign that he liked her. What a stupid thing. It makes even less sense because when the drama progresses we see that the ml is a sweetheart to every human on this earth... His character just did a 180.

At one point he even gets "kidnapped" by a fan but he ends up helping this guy out and not even suing him. But somehow he is rude to the FL and therefore "in love".😑

The fact that the main leads had no chemistry made this love story even less believable.
There were "cute" sometimes but I never felt the sparkle between them. They looked more like friends and I think it would have been better if they build a friendship. They open up to each other and are a good support, love wasn't really needed.
The ml looked more attracted to the FL than viceversa.

The middle part 👉🏻
The middle episode is were some stuff happens but it's the same stuff over and over again.
We explore the idol's past and the unresolved tensions between him and his two ex best friends. I wish they did a better job because, to me, this was the actual core of the drama and the most emotional part. There is betrayal, first love, one sided love, jealousy, revenge, sadness, regret. A whole plethora of emotions good enough to create a good drama. Unfortunately the screen writers wasted all this potential and left us with the same scenes repeating over and over again.
The other guy mistreating his girl, the girl going back to the idol, the idol trying to mediate between them. It happened so many times I lost count.

The last episodes👉🏻
Frankly speaking? This was the most enjoyable part of the drama. Really emotional and engaging.

Things I didn't like❌

The comedy just never hits. Never.

Cliche of the female lead falling into the ml armato create "romantic tension"

The ml parents. Why even include that?

The female lead constantly forgetting to charge her phone just to create drama

Senseless plots: The villain is rich as fuck. His father did buy him a whole company but couldn't buy his son' way into stardom? Never hear of nepotism?

The way the other girl was treated. The villain basically treats her like a toy gatekeeping her from debuting.

Things I liked✅

The FL parents were hilarious. The home visit was my favourite part of the drama.

The two Pds. Their story was cute and I was more enthusiastic for their proposal than that of the main leads.

The fact that the female pd was unable to lie was a cute addition.

Conclusions:
Should you watch this? Hard to say. If you are not as judgemental as me I think you might still enjoy this drama. It is not a masterpiece by any stretch if the imagination, but if you like the actors and idol stories I think this could work.
Just lower your expectations.

unfortunately..NOT INTERESTING ENOUGH.

Plot: Xiao le and yi lan are childhood best friends. They share every aspect of their lives:issues, achievement, familiar problems.
Xiao le is trying to find his way in life without giving in with his father's expectations; yi lan instead knows what she wants to do. Her first love is playing cello just like her mother did. Unfortunately his father is not on her side.
We follow them as they navigate their problems through highschool and adult life.

Observations:
I liked the initial episodes of the drama. There is nothing groundbreaking here to watch but the atmosphere was nice and the characters were cute. I particularly liked the town/ school setting. It was a bit darker than usual school settings. It looked like they went to highschool in forks (twilight's)🤣.

I think the main issue in this drama is that everything is surface level.

We never get into anything too deeply.
Music is a main focus of the drama or at least this should be the case.

I'm still not sure about what kind of school they attended because they were involved all in music on some level, but it looked like a regular highschool instead of a conservatory.

Music is never discussed or shown except for the reoccurring "sorry, I gotta go play cello".
The fact that everytime someone is singing or playing an instrument another track is playing in the background takes you out of the moment.
I get that the actor may not be able to play, but you can cut the camera away from their faces and let a real musician play.

Maybe it was a budget issue, but it didn't help with setting the right tone in certain scenes.

Building momentum was also a big issue. The drama cuts short important or emotional scenes. They cut right in the middle of a scene, they never linger too much to actually make you feel the tension and that has an impact on the romance as well.

I found their love cute but how they got together was frankly a mess.

They jump from being distant, to being cold, to being together, to feel at ease with each other in the blink of an eye.

The whole "senpai" moment was "meh". Yi Lang starts liking him over nothing, confesses her love, than changes her mind. Right after she rejects Xiao le but wants to keep him a friend. She then sees him for a millisecond with a girl and gets jealous and right after starts to look at Xiao le under a different light.
They kiss accidentally and basically get together.

It was a mess and I didn't enjoy it at all.
If she was so adamant in rejecting him first just show me how she comes to terms with seeing him as more than a friend. Let the jealousy build up a bit.

The moment they get caught kissing by their respective parents was weird.

The whole drama we are shown that Xiao le parents are absent from his life , but suddenly they are everywhere and play the role of "comic relief" with yi Lang parents? Totally out of character.

Aside the main couple, the drama focuses also on the love story between the sad ning Ning and Xiao le's best friend.
this love story makes no sense from the very beginning.
Ning Ning was mean for no reason.
Her life revolved around cell even before she dated that guy. She never had time even in highschool but she uses this as an excuse to be a bitch towards her boyfriend.
He did absolutely nothing wrong. Always by her side, secretly helping her , never being a burden and always showing a positive attitude.
She on the other hand kept everything inside, never talked to him about nothing, never found time for him. He was the one always making plans for their couple and she saw it as a nuisance.
To add insult to injury she is the one breaking up with him asking "what is your plan? You need a plan". Girl, he was the only one being pro active in this relationship. He deserved way better.

The third female friend is on and off on our radars. Poor girl she is a third wheel in this drama.

This drama is not bad but it is not super interesting either.

My favourite part was the male lead character and the overall friendship of the main couple.
Everything else is just there for the sake of it.

another DRAMA RUINED BY A BAD SECOND HALF.

Plot: 2 childhood friends discovering feeling for each other.

Observations🗯️🗯️

I fricking loved the first half of the drama. It was really sweet and Light-hearted. These kind of drama usually are more heavy on cuteness, but this one was also really funny.

The first episodes take place in highschool where we meet our ml and ml. They've been fraternal friends for whole their lives but at the end of highschool our little Didi starts seeing our jiejie under a different light.

This first half is really engaging because we experience their school life, friendship and private life.

There is definitely more stuff happening in the first half than in the later episodes.

We focus on our FL struggles with school and having dreams and on the ml past with his father.

Their friends are also an important part of their development.

Unfortunately once we leave highschool and enter university everything becomes flat.

The main focus is of course our ml pursuing his jiejie but when they get together, the drama declines drastically.

Nothing of substance happens and whatever is on screen is irrelevant.

The last 10 episodes are basically other people trying to get with our protagonists. Everyone is in love with them and this trope becomes tiring pretty quickly.

I know that this is a slice of life kind of shows but not even the characters are able to hold your attention.

Even though years have passed they all stay the same. They way they speak, act, not even their clothes change.

It was frankly Bizzare seeing them act so childish but at the same time talk about marriage, living together.

Even the kisses felt "childish" after 3 years of dating.

There is no saving grace In the second half. The characters they add are inconsequential.

The only main thing happening was the FL best friend falling in love. It was cute but not interesting enough to be honest.

To summarize:
Positives✅✅
Female lead. I know she always plays this kind of character but she does it damn well. She and her best friend relationship was super funny.

The first half of the drama. Perfect when you feel down and just want to see cute stuff.

Negatives❌
The ml acting. Boy was he bad.

The dubbing. It is often out of synch and weird in same moments.

The parents literally bullying a kid. When the FL invites a friend at home they are so rude to him because they fear he is going to "steal" their future daughter in law. Weird and frankly disgusting behavior.

Too corny. Talking about your kids wedding in their first years of college.. really?
The guy just graduated high school and is thinking about a family with her soon to be girlfriend.....

No characters development with very few exceptions. The only person I feel did grow up was the FL best friend.

Is it worth it? I think it depends on how much you can endure. If you are fine with corny stuff I think you'll be good watching this.

THAT PERSON YOU'LL DIE FOR...

I have a very hard time reviewing movies because I'm a "series " girlie.
I like to explore a story, see characters development over time, so movies are a bit ostic to judge.

plot:
a boy and a girl , who met as kid, see each other again once adult. they fall in love but destiny is not always in our hands..or is it?

the plot is very simple and not that deep which means there isn't that much to talk about.

why do these candles work they they do? I don't know.
does it have something to do with his mother? we don't know.

that's what is good and bad about movies... you have to take everything at face value because there is no time to explore anything.

we speed run through their love story which is basically done in 2 minutes. I didn't feel a particular connection to them but overall we can still feel the love they have for each other.

there is no time to get attached to them as people so I just focused on something universal: the pain of losing your loved one.

you enjoy the movie not because of what is happening TO THEM but because of WHAT is happening to them.

you still feel the fear, the urgency , the worry and the pain even though, unlike other reviewers , I didn't end up crying.

I didn't quite like that the FL tried to contact the ml after her wish because that would basically break the pact you made with destiny.

I think it would have added more pathos If she just stopped looking for him.

the ending is happy because it seems that fate is letting them finally rekindle.

the acting was good overall, the tone of the movie felt right.

definitely an easy watch but don't expect nothing devastating.

almost dropped.. GLAD I DIDNT!!!!

Plot:🗯️
A journalist is trying to save her dying column in a magazine and takes part in a scheme to fool an idol into giving her an exclusive interview.
Unfortunately they end up switching bodies and have to survive in their respective lives.

Let me tell you, I was about to drop this drama after 5 episode but I am so glad I didn't.

First few minutes of the drama hook you with a scene of two people breaking up but then the following 5 episodes are really sloooooly setting the dynamics in motion and I was getting bored as hell.

Moving forward I wasn't expecting a body switch. I didn't read the synopsis of this drama😅., so the tone switch came pretty unaspected but it becomes a fundamental plot device.

After episode 5 the drama becomes really engaging and I finally felt entertained till the very end, till the literal last episode which is something extraordinary for me.

This is a nice rom com made of cute moments (fortunately not cringe, heartfelt emotions and a nice feeling overall.

Positives:
-The actors definitely grew on me. I didn't like them at first but they did a very good job throughout the drama, especially with the body switch. They were "believable". The ml was especially cute. The FL was also great.

-The actors have good chemistry.

-Finally 2 adults that behave accordingly to their age when it comes to romance. I am kinda of sick of 30 years acting like kids.

-Good till the last episode.

-I liked the ml emotional development especially with his mom.

-No dumm cliches like FL falling into the ml arms.

-No filler scenes.

- the ml having his menstrual cycle 😅😅

-Negatives
I feel they should have switched bodies a bit later after showing on screen their lives a bit more making us feel more connected to their lives.

-They state stuff and never follow through with it. For example The article about that married couple, the interview with the other member of the group etc...

When they switched bodies the Second time it's dragged for too long.
-too many flash backs.
-the drama doesn't do an excellent job at tydying up lose threats. Some parts where a bit wishy washy. The third member of the group is cute but irrelevant, we never see them interact as idols, I still don't know why the 2 members didn't get along...

-Too many "I feel we are in a drama" jokes.

-The second ml was useless (poor lao gaO always catching strays😅)

-The asteroid influencing the body switch was a bit meh as an excuse 😅

- the second part of the last episode. I wish that wasn't I thing.. I think I took away a bit of my good mood. (no spoilers🤫)

Conclusions:
Definitely recommend this one. It's a bit hard to get into it but if you endure for 5 episode you'll get love, tears and a nice time.

cute... but not thrilling.

plot: our FL is real life Pikachu. when her heartbeat reaches its peak she is able to "electrocute" people which then fall in love with the first person they see .
her best friend has her eyes on the school hunk and asks Pikachu to electrocute this guy for her but things turn out quite differently..

the drama🗯️🗯️
this is a classic school drama. we have cute and bubbly characters, school related activities and of course love entanglements.

I cannot say this is a bad drama but its not stellar. there is nothing particular about it except the FL superpower which sets everything in motion but is quite influencial when it comes to to plot. it s just a plot device to initially get closer the main leads.

characters are likable and behave realistically even though the resemble more high schoolers than college students.

I didn't dislike this drama but at episode 11 I realized there wasn't anything keeping me engaged especially thinking about the fact that I wasn't even half way through. 24 episodes look a bit much for such a simple drama and I personally don't feel that invested to keep watching for so long.

it's a light hearted drama good for times when you don't want to think too much and just watch cute predictable stuff.

characters: nothing much too say about them. considering the fact that this is a "simple " drama they are not characterised that much. just enough to get a jist of their personality.

FL is fine. her personality is a bit bland but that's always the case with "self inserted " dramas.
the only real complaint I have is for her hair and dresses. they did her dirty. she is dressed like a nun and her hair are a mess. why.. why do chinese dramas always mess their FL hair?

ml: he is cute. I remember him from "love between demon and fairy" and it was fun to see him as a young puppy.
his character is fine but I have to complain when it comes to certain behaviors. I hate when ml shovel the FL around like a doll even hurting them because "they are jealous". there is nothing romantic about a guy sticking you to a wall against your will. let's stop that ok?

conclusions:🗯️🗯️
if you are looking for something exciting that makes your heart race definitely skip this.

If you like cute, predictable dramas in a school setting this might be in your alley.

not thrilling but a solid drama!

Plot: a stoic lawyer has a reputation of being a workaholic but nobody knows that she has a secret: in her free time she is a super Fan of the boy band "gold Boyz".
When her bias gets framed for murder. Will she be able to put aside her inner fan to defend her idol?
Plot:🗯️
It is simple and I liked it.
I feel though They portrait the main conflict ambiguously. The FL is supposed to be a huge fan, but to me she didn't seem to struggle that much to put aside her more "emotional" fan side. She was very professional in her job.
The drama was quite good with putting together the pieces of the murder investigation. I am not a super smart person which means I was fooled be the direction of the drama into pointing at different suspects. I never doubted the "real culprit" to be honest 😅. I changed my mind many times. Calm me gullible i guess.

Characters:🗯️
FL: the actress is good but I found her character quite bland and to be frank I never bite into her "love" with the ml. I didn't feel the sparks. To me they seemed more like a teacher and a student.

ML: good actor, probably my favourite in the drama. He was a complex character and the actor was able to showcase his emotions in a believable way. When it comes to romance I think he has better chemistry with the FL than she has with him.

The other actors were all solid.

Romance:🗯️
Romance wise this drama is not the best to be honest. Sure the characters get close in a natural way but the flame wasn't there for me.
The scenes with them bonding were cute i m Not gonna lie but I feel they could have added more.

Best part:🗯️
This may sound weird but I feel like the best part of the drama were the characters "trauma dumping".
The drama did a good job at portraying broken people with past and present trauma. It felt healing in some way. Lack of trust and secrets are a heavy burden that the characters are able to unload and get past. Some moments were really touching.

they did a good job of showing hit parasocial relationship affect the fans and especially the idol involved.

Worst part:🗯️
The last 2 episode were for a lack of better words disappointing.
When the real culprit gets arrested I expected to see all the drama unrevealing but they never show us the trail or the after math. Immediately after the arrest the drama fast forward a whole year. Even the romance was a bit meh in these episodes. It's been a whole year and the lawyer still uses HONORIFICS to address her now boyfriend.
The FL in the drama puts aside her fan "love" to accept the singer as a real human and not just an idol but in the last episode she is back to her "fan" self. I didn't feel this was necessary maybe even a regression.

also the prosecutor guy. at first I thought he would be the love interest. going from former bully to lovers but I abandoned that idea quite quickly 😅. they could have done more with him, a real bickering , lawyer to lawyer relationship

Conclusions: is it worth it? Definitely yes. This drama is not trembles inducing but it's a solid story with interesting characters and backstories. Romance is there (even though it's not the main focuse).

Watch and enjoy.
