Oh, yes I am well aware of the current scandal you referred to in you first post, in the UK ( I live across the Channel!) which had been covered up by politicians from all sides who did not want to go against the all powerfull woke virtuous gang, afraid of being called racist and islamophobes. This was another victory for the Muslim Brotherhood who used our own strengths agains us (our tolerance and understanding!). Countries are waking up to the damage this attitude has created and are starting to fight back. Slowly but surely!

Can you say the same thing about China? HongKong, Taiwan, Uyghurs, Tibet, surveillance state, corruption, censorship, ban on homosexuality, TikTok...I can continue if you like! Protecting their women and children (I read some horrible stories about that on Quillette site written by a British journalist who lives in China)? Maybe if is for the benefit of the leadership! People are dying in China for saying the wrong thing, for thinking differently from the main doctrine. If the people are calm and obey the orders given by the Party, they will have a correct existence. Is that better than the UK? No matter how hard things get in the UK, I bet you that any Chinese would prefer it to staying in China, given the choice.

No matter how difficult things get to be here, we are goi.g to bounce back and sort it out, sooner or later but it will be done without a doubt.

Maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy, but when I watched it a couple of years ago, they said that it was cancelled before the last episode was filmed. There were some obscure reasons that I do not remember, there was a slight chatter about a possible sequel and then time passed, nothing happened and everyone forgot about it. I don't think we'll ever see this sitcom again. Or the actors, for that matter. They seem to have disappeared as well. It would be interesting to find out what actually happened. Well, anything shady is possible, better yet, likely to happen in Thai bl industry.

This is really good, different from the majority of Taiwanese BLs. Reminds me more of HongKong ones....The music is great and the actors are not teens thus the bad rating here! lol
The only problem is that the episodes are too short and they tacked on 15min of unsubbed BTS. Useless!

The majority of reviews are like yours and that's why I am wondering what is it that I am not seeing here.

I think that my opinion about this drama went south when I realized that the actor playing the rebel looked too old to be a convincing teen. He was perfect as an adult!

And my opinion was confirmed when at one point the good guy asks "But we are both men?" Really? In 2024?

I did not see any of the things you and many other reviewers write about. All I saw was bad casting, bad chemistry, draggy story full of tropes (abusive parents, good boy falls for an apoarent rebel), washed out cinematography, miserable and depressive atmosphere etc. etc. Conclusion: I am either blind, too cynical or not the target audience. Probably all three!😅😅
But thank you so much for this review: it opens my eyes to some subleties I have missed.

I am loving this (edit: Really, not sarcasm!): terrible plot, bad acting, hot sassy assistant, horrible family, overbearing music, fish kisses (EDIT:IN THE FIRST HALF ONLY!) and... a ML who trips and falls in the vicinity of the other Ml's lips at least once per episode. They are breaking The Tuxedo's record for the most "accidental falls on lips" in BLhistory!🤣🤣🤣🤣

The classics: Kleun Chewit, Bad Romeo, Hui Jia Sila, To Sir With Love.....sorry for the approximative titles! All of them came highly recommended and I dropped them all: too much over the top...This one seems tamer than the majority of lakhorns so that might be the reason I finished it. And even that it took me almost two weeks (when I usually binge watch a series of comparable length in 3 days!)😅😅😅

Thank you. I must have started 5 or 6 and I dropped them all after 3 episodes. Mire or less. Even though I finished this one and I liked it quite a lot, I don't think I'll be watching another one so soon: the stress was exhausting!🤣🤣🤣

Spot on! No mafia, so far, but a shady businessman trying to kill his younger brother, very medieval power struggle. Maybe local thugs for hire? The deaf boy gives as much as he gets so he is not too helpless...OMG, the music...I ranted about it on drama page . It would have been so interesting to use silences as in deaf character.....At least no stepbrothers in mafia, so it is new...I am desperate, scraping the bottom of the barrel...🤣🤣🤣

It often serms, in these BLs, that the more the muscles are visible on these actors, the fewer acting skills they have. Bad enough I finished it once in spite of thick eyebrows.🤣..at least TharnType with all its toxicity has the chemistry never equaled , in the BL world! I guess TT was MY gateway drug. (I love that expression!😂)
I am currently watching See Your Love a taiwanese BL featuring a love story between a poor deaf boy and a rich brat. A surprise, since there are no step brothers in love. It is watchable...so far!;-)

The music is taking the whole drama over: too much of it and too loud! I don't think there is a single second without music here! 2 points OFF! Otherwise, it is cute, totally ridiculous but fun....

So you dropped it after all!🤣I finished it (those short episodes are easily bingeable (lol) and though it was not as awful as Takara No Vidro, it was bad. Beside the usual depressive atmosphere and horrible parents, which you pointed out (what would a JBL be without it?), I found the casting terrible. The story takes place in high school and then there is a 5 year time jump: one actor was a convincing teen but as an adult he looked more like a kid trying out his father's suit while the other one looks too old to be a teen and as an adult, he looks positively a cradle snatching creep.
Afterwards I looked up some other reviews and comments and everyone is raving about how perfect it is, how deep, subtle, beautiful and poetic everything was...and I kept thinking "have we seen the same drama?". 🤣🤣"But we are both men?" was probably the line which sealed the deal for me. They had exactly the same line in Takara's Treasure. In 2024?!?!? Are the Japanese regressing or something?

Is this what they call a "slap-kiss" lakorn? Poor Bert has been slapped repeatedly by the rest of the characters! So many times! His cheeks are about to fall off!🤣🤣

This drama somehow fits into the "so bad that it is good" and is, hands down, the worst drama I have watched AND finished! And I have seen (and dropped!) many! The casting director probably said: Let's take the worst actors who show up at the audition! The budget was probably around 1$ and it shows! The sound is awful. The editor slept through the editing. There is zero camera work and the director must have called in sick for the duration of the filming!

The only bright spot here is the handsome, very handsome actor who plays Ken. Does anyone know who he is?
