it was great to see krist-singto as cp after a long time like things like these don't happen that often so i am happy that they decided to work together again.
about the story, the first half was a banger. i was really enjoying it. but then episode 7 happened and i just kinda pushed through from there. i put it off so much because the core story was not handled properly. like the reasoning for his disappearance... i don't even want to talk about it because it makes me so angry. their love story was going so good, acting was great, character development was going steady, dialogues were great, top notch sfx, out of the world humour and it all came down to THIS MESS. i am literally so angry. and why the fuck did they do that paul? like did anyone see that coming? i really think they drew up random cards to make that up ðŸ˜
anyways, first half good, second half not so much, 6/10.
i know this isn't the case but somehow they made it look like a very toxic lesbian situationship towards the end like reina looked more like the ex than that trash.
anyways, i didn't watch the korean version and have no plans on watching it so i came in with the basic understanding of the story from what i saw on youtube shorts and was seated for a revenge plot. it did meet my expectations. i thought it was written well most of the time but there were some dull moments. i especially liked reina's character sketch because i can't understand her and that might be the charm of a psychopath, only in fiction though. 7/10, i recommend it.
i feel like that 10 mins breakup was more unnecessary than those 5 years apart. going to the US aspect was very much prominent in the show. nowhere in the show did jom ask yo to stay back and nowhere in the show did yo mention about giving up his goals to stay back. instead, he wanted to work it out long distance so i already saw that coming at the end. it does seem like a typical BL ending episode where one is gone and the other pines for him but this one is not like that at all when you think about it. i think it's very realistic too. if it had been breakup and then five years apart like aof's BLs then we would have some things to consider and people to kill.
story wise those 5 years made sense to me but the execution is shit. 5 years later, everything and everyone still looks like same. they didn't show a lot of the time inbetween so forget about 5 years in the US, it felt more like yo came back from bangkok after 5 weeks.
i really like idolfactory BLs. they post uncut eps on youtube and episodes are pretty long. i like that their focus is on developing the characters and their relationship.
it's great to see saint back in a BL after a long time. poon is great actor. he looks so dreamy and his eyes twinkle like stars whenever he is looking at jom. it was so cute.
overall, its equally romantic and funny. it's very calm and non-complex, exactly what i was in the mood to watch. mostly liked the show expect few minor flaws. 8/10, definitely recommend.
the second half is so much better like i was on the verge of dropping it but starting from the 11th episode, the story became more interesting. 6.5/10 :>

ohk i was really enjoying it and then i got to the scene where why he left phi is revealed and i am not vibing with it. scriptwriters should have worked out some better reason because leaving your lover and ghosting him with no prior discussion for THAT??? seems very silly when you think about it. originally i was going to give it a high rating but i am definitely cutting points for that.
this dude needs some rest. he shot 3 multiple couple series back to back. based on the plot, revamp is going to be a lot of work. and he still has another 2 waiting to be filmed. I really hope he doesn't pick up more.

nothing, actually. his works have never changed. he still follows the same pattern as he did in uwma. the only thing that changed is people's standards. i am saying this as the biggest brand ambassador of umwa, the series that i defined my whole personality on during 2019-2022. it stayed my top1 until '22 and then i decided to rewatch for the 7th time and realised it was time to move on. it wasn't bad but I just couldn't sit through it. sometimes you just grow out of it for no fucking reason. do I still watch his series? some of them, yes. are they good? they're are so-so. he picks up scripts that don't have anything interesting going on except the usual drama and don't know about others but I need to be in certain mood to be able to sit through and enjoy those.
one thing I don't understand about thai BLs is, how does everyone have fans? highschool & university students, bakery boys, chefs and now a weather reporter? is this reality in thailand or just exaggerated for the show? because i feel like they just have few girls screaming on screen for that celebrity main character aura but it ends up looking so stupid when you think about it.
i just commented here 2hrs ago about how i can let go of it peacefully because i didn't start it yet but turns out i actually give a lot of fucks about this series because my mood hit a new low and i am very close to killing myself. the hyperfixation for something i haven't even watched yet is crazy. i don't think i can live peacefully. i can't even fall asleep.
they really should have released all of them at once or just quickly. why are these companies so stupid even after so long? they work so hard on it but make stupid decisions which either leads to shelfing, heavily censoring or discontinuing. if a chinese BL is in the airing phase for more than a few weeks, we might never see its end. well glad that i didn't start it yet because i saw this coming long ago. i can let go of it with no hard feelings. bye :>
