I felt the same. The demon realm went on for way too long and the mortal realm was so interesting! It was so sad…
Preach! I wish they had drawn out the phase of him being suspicious of her, yet, still helplessly falling for this self proclaimed "fairy" for like at least like an episode or two more.
Sima Jiao (trying his best to sneer): I skinned a man who criticised me. *tiger pup trying to strike fear in the heart of this woman who had the audacity to come into his dreams* Le Liao Ting Yan: You have become so adorable! *heart eyes, overjoyed and amused*
Was anybody else reminded of Im Sol silently crying whenever she came across Ryu Sun Jae during the first few moments in the first timeline when Liao Ting Yan started tearing up on meeting Sima Jiao for the first time in the mortal realm?
Hi! I had a few questions. Does he have a redemption arc? Also, does he have a romance of his own? Most importantly, is he alive by the end of the novel?
It is amusing for me bcos a lot of intl fans complain about the drama title. They complain when the staff choose…
In my opinion, the title is both apt and hilarious! For once, both the grammar and the syntax of the title are correct. Also, the title seems fitting given the synopsis. It is quite unique and makes the drama sound so much more interesting than it actually may be.
i saw it's HE in modern world they meet again ,he is a ceo
Gosh! I was so pissed! It's Xianxia for crying out loud. Would it have killed them to give us a proper HEA?! *SMH to this day* Is it SY and BJT's Destined? I didn't watch it. SY's acting and the character herself made me drop it after 2-3 episodes. Aaaah... You mean this drama! Got it! Glad to know that you came to like the ending. Believe me everything could have gone kaput in the last few minutes. π€£

They did that so that the censors would not pounce on their backs! π€£ It's hard to imagine an arrogant, all powerful, domineering CEO would randomly strike up a conversation with some woman he didn't know and smile of his own accord at her. The makers left the ending ambiguous enough to help viewers write their own head cannon if they so wish. P. S. : I am curious about the two dramas you mentioned. Which are they?
i saw it's HE in modern world they meet again ,he is a ceo
The only reason why I was easily able to make peace with this ending is because I have had enough with all kinds of BEs and OEs. π For those who have watched series like TTEOTM, LBFAD, etc. would know exactly what I am talking about, LOL.
i saw it's HE in modern world they meet again ,he is a ceo
LMAO, that would have been gold. However, Sima Jiao is always on top of the hierarchy. So, it makes a lot of sense that he's a CEO in the modern world, LOL. (I spoiled myself with the minute and a half ending.) I think they did the best they could under the circumstances. Even their exchange heavily implies that both have retained their memories of their epic adventure together. So, believe what you will. At the very least, they didn't have the FL smile at someone in recognition with that someone's face almost hidden or that someone not turning up on-screen at all. π€·π»ββοΈ Tbh, I am surprised that they got both of them to interact properly. I am alright with the ending.

Hehe, thanks! The pilot episode felt too batshit crazy, especially for a CDrama of this genre and I have seen my fair share of absolutely off the wall stuff, LMAO! Once I managed to stop rolling my eyes at the FL's choice of weapon in close combat and general disappointment with the fight choreography amongst other things, I started enjoying the drama so much more. It's strangely addictive due to how eccentric it is. π Moreover, I like RC's performances from when he used to do mini dramas and SY's performance here is decent enough. Also, it was a bit jarring at first to watch the actors who had played some of the sweetest people in TPOB play unhinged, cray-cray characters here. π Furthermore, the SFL is a hoot! I absolutely love the character and how the actress is playing the role. Rain Lu and a few others whose performances I have liked in the past are in the supporting cast. So, I decided that I might as well give the drama a chance.
I came from LOTFG. I was able to finish it (though not with great excitement :_) How is this, do you think I'll…
Shadow Love feels like an acid trip from the get-go, yet, a very watchable one. Don't expect a masterpiece. Its story is sort of engaging and weird in a good way (or may be not). WTF moments abound, with bizarre moments galore even if we consider the story's setting in the realm of magical realism. π The extent to which you can suspend your disbelief is directly proportional to how much you may be able to enjoy it for what it is. Having said that, this drama is indeed a lot of fun provided you manage your expectations.

She is well aware of the manipulative nature of his job. I don't know which episode you are at, but, his actions sometimes betray the fact that he's a genuinely good person. In the first episode, her fiancΓ© couldn't bother about the fact that she had a bandaid across her forehead. But Takamori did notice it. You might probably think, he was doing that to reel her in as a customer. Yes, indeed he might have been and Ogawa has been fully aware from the get-go. However, sometimes, being noticed can make someone feel a teensy bit better about oneself especially when one has to pretend to be the rational, mature adult all the time for the sake of what is expected. Most important of all, her inadvertently having to teach him ignited in her a zest for teaching, a passion for life in general. Such little moments matter when one is teetering on the edge of an abyss.
As far as Takamori is concerned, only Ogawa has ever given a damn without expecting anything in return, genuinely wants to help him and cares for his well-being. She understands him to an inexplicable degree which is quite ironic given their vastly different backgrounds.
It's odd but they are actually quite similar in their broader attitude towards life. Both are extremely lonely individuals who feel at ease in each other's company. Them falling head over heels for one another isn't too much of a stretch.
