I totally get why dramas may have such an impact on you. For me, dramas have sometimes become a medium to vicariously do or experience things I never would get to do irl. So, I get where you are coming from. The world of ANG is quite layered. If I remember correctly, one of the taglines is, "No one will bless this forbidden love." I loved the setting from the get-go. It's very reminiscent of the classic JDramas from the '90s and early 2000s. I concur that JDramas are in a league of their own. Also, XOXO. 💗
I need ongoing drama reco bc im planning to put this on hold until express is out. Should i go for SHADOW LOVE…
Shadow Love feels like an acid trip from the get-go, yet, a very watchable one. Don't expect a masterpiece. Its story is sort of engaging and weird in a good way (or may be not). WTF moments abound, with bizarre moments galore even if we consider the story's setting in the realm of magical realism. 😅 The extent to which you can suspend your disbelief is directly proportional to how much you may be able to enjoy it for what it is.
TMAI! Everyone is apprehensive about how the finale is going to be... Now, most of us are hoping for the two leads to be alive and healthy because of how the story is progressing. 😁 While watching the initial episodes, I kept wondering if you'd like it. However, I also remember that you don't necessarily like romance heavy plots. I think this one ticks most of your boxes. I kept wondering whether to recommend ANG to you or not. So, when I spotted you here, I couldn't resist, LMAO! The first episode pretty much sets the mood for the rest of the drama. So, if you like the pilot, it's highly probable that you may like the rest. P. S.: I hope the little tidbit about my concerns about finale doesn't ruin the fun if you did choose to watch it.
Yeah, 8 episodes are out, but only 7 are subbed. The first 6 have been released by NF, the next two are fan translated. So, it will be a while unless you can make do with raws as many are doing.
She admitted that she did it to stop herself from crossing the line with Taiga. It's good that Manami isn't one…
I managed to find the short version of the trailer on Twitter. The longer version on YT is regionally restricted. I typed Ai No, Gakkou in Nihongo. Here you go: https://x.com/aino_gakkou P.S.: The lengths I go for this drama, LMAO.

Ogawa's mother was a hoot when she was absolutely sloshed! 🤣 Also, in E08's preview, I think I saw a faint, proud smile on her face when Manami declared to her father that she was moving out. 😂
I really love the performances of the FL and many of the supporting cast in their other dramas. Hence, my question is whether the supporting cast likw WJT, YDQ, etc. are just props or do they have compelling storylines?

You are a darling! 😘 Thank you so much. I just realised that I'd forgotten to type "skipping". 🤦🏻♀️ I have edited my query now. As you have correctly deducted, I sometimes fast forward through Ogawa Sr.'s scenes too. 😂
For now, good. She is a victim of circumstances. Her family is held captive by her master who wishes to kill SJ. She doesn't wish to harm the FL if she can help it.
FL's friend who she considers her as a good sister, has hidden plans like those other girls too. Hope she stays…
