I really enjoyed this drama!!! Great performance from Wakamura Mayumi! It was also super interesting to watch her every week in this drama and then in Hatsukoi, Zarari because her role there is so different.

The one thing that I disliked the most has to be the unnecessary romance. I mean,, I knew it was coming because writers can't make a woman interact with a man without making them fall in love, for some strange reason, but he literally attacked her two or three times and told her to be his.... "slave" ??? So I'd like to know the exact moment where she thought "hmmm yeah I like that weirdo" because I can't really imagine it.

This is officially in my top dramas of 2023! And based on the ending.... I really hope that they'll release a second season!

I love the way the friendship is depicted in this drama. It's something that I love about a lot of j-dramas, they really know how to do it well.

I absolutely adore Koshiba Fuka, her characters always have SO much personality! It's been a while since I've laughed this much during the first episode of a drama.

The drama is Watashi ga Himo wo Kau Nante!!

They didn't "share a kiss", HE kissed HER without her consent. (I guess that's easy to misunderstand from the comments if you haven't even watched the drama.) And she didn't tell Izumi at first because when she was about to, she saw him hug another girl and left. (Another typical drama cliché, I know...) And yes, Izumi does have an inferiority complex and is obsessed with comparing himself to his brother. If you're confident in yourself, you don't care that someone else is more "successful" than you. (I wouldn't even say he is, they just have very different personalities...)
But the whole story is messy and all the characters are stupid, to be honest. I'm just biased and tend to always root for the female lead no matter what she does, which is why I said none of them deserve her. Truth is, they just don't deserve each other!

Akari: You're the one that I like, Izumi.
Izumi: But my brother is better than me, you probably like him more.
Akari: I just said I like yo-
Izumi: But my brother!!! He's so perfect in every way, you should definitely like him instead of me.
Akari: ........
Like???? He said he hates being compared to his brother but he's the one doing it the most. Maybe he should fix his inferiority complex before thinking of dating someone. 🤷🏽‍♀️
