I didn't see the 'like mother like daughter' scene from previous eps (that most viewers liked) as something praise worthy. Defending SS in public is the least she can do since she also humiliates SS in public like this. Calling her daughter uneducated is fine, cause its true. She should've stopped there if she just wanted an excuse to decline the marriage proposal, but no, she went on a rant of SS being stubborn, disrespectful, no virtue (I forgot the others but I aint rewatching cause it was hard) esp. unworthy.. wow..
The emperor's words was final anyways, nothing anyone else can do, so there was really no need for her to go that far.

Also, CY is starting to be annoying, what lousy excuse that YY didn't mean to not tell SS about the Ling fam cause its a long story, when he legit just told the said story to SS in under 2min. There are certain situations when CS needs to come out of YY's skirt once in a while.
Like I said before, if YY had spent all those months teaching SS crash course on etiquette and nobles fam trees/histories instead of punishing her and sending her to Hua county, it would've been better. Didn't even do a greeting rehearsal. But then again SS is right, she can't remember all that now a few minutes before going to hell, I mean the palace.

SS, just pack up and move to BY's house. It might look like a barracks than a home but atleast you'll be treated like a human there.

SS had cried a few times already in this story but her tears this time.. I feel for them.

Even though their puppy love was not deep, they had a healthy relationship and they were genuinely fond of each other.
Nothing else to say in this ep, I felt the heartbreak from a break-up I didn't even went through.

He is. Its so good to have a nice guy as the ml, not just as 2ml.

Ikr, if only we get to have this combination in every drama. Cause others tend to have one or two then lack the other.

Or maybe I'm just picky..? Cause I've encountered popular/big production but the leads just didn't draw me in. Then those with actors that charm me, but the production is low budget. This good combination doesn't come often esp. in romance genre because no matter how good looking the cp is, its rare for me to feel chemistry like we have here with WuLu.

Yes that, since she went there herself instead of letting CS deal with it in that educated/civilised manner that she preaches.

Its a combination of good writing, acting and directing.
Overall, this production team is really good.
