I like how SS didn't accept the cloak from BY as she is already in a relationship. Even if LY will understand and won't mind as long as she isn't cold, it can still cause misunderstandings. It's a sign of respect for LY. BY asked that question when she didn't have other option. It's only LY that expressed his feelings. And most importantly, when it took time for SS to reply, LY came to find her, with her cloak in his hands. She didn't even need to say anything. The smile on her face when she ran towards LY. That answered BY's question.
So.. BY knew of 3rd aunt and master's love story and still.. STILL will choose to do "that" in the future..? Like WL said, its good that BY is handsome and SS likes him because ugh, the angst.
YS on the other hand, I didn't like the words he described SS with LY, but at the same time I enjoy the bickering between them.

In this ep. each SS cp has different dynamics and I like all three of them. I feel chemistry (varying degrees) with each one. My BFX x YYZ, HC and FLX agenda is shaking. lol
To those planning to check this out while waiting for EAW, if you liked Eunbin's detailed acting in EAW, she does the same here. From the stance, voice, expressions, down to the mannerisms, she perfectly embodies the role.
This drama actually makes an effort as a crossdressing drama. It does not pretend like fl is a perfect male. They acknowledge that the prince is feminine. They showed the fl naturally developed manly gestures but she can't help but be feminine. It fits to the narrative that no matter how hard she tries, she can't hide her feminine qualities that will lead to suspicions.
And Eunbin understood the assignment. She effortlessly shifts between two different identities while depicting the fear, pain and grief that both characters hold. She portrayed the prince and princess both physically and emotionally really well.
As a historical drama, fl is the hero that drives the plot. Most fl's are not as privileged as they are usually just the love interest that every male character likes or a damsel in distress that everyone has to save. Here the fl has the higher status and is in a position to be involved in political matters as a crown prince turned king.
There are things kept from the webtoon and things changed for the better in drama. No accidental boob touch or anything like that, if thats a major concern for some. And most importantly, the reveal of the secret was tastefully done.
Overall, Eunbin's acting alone makes it worth watching. (KBS Drama Awards Top Excellence Actress, Baeksang Arts Awards Best Actress Nominee and Korea Broadcasting Award Best Actress). But everyone's taste is different. It's not perfect, but its a good watch while waiting for EAW.

And LY being upfront makes him different from BY and YS. He is clear of his intentions. He doesn't talk in a roundabout way, does things anonymously or just look from afar. This can also be an assurance to SS that LY will always be honest and transparent to her. (In 3rd aunt's case, the one that was beside her despite being clumsy eventually won her heart, not the elegant master who just looks from afar).
Yes, the fact that it was highlighted how impressed and happy she was when she named the ones she wanted to eat and he found it for her, is a huge thing for someone who was starved and had to eat dirty food growing up.

Its LLTG day again~ I'm quite looking forward to seeing fl with 2ml and 3ml. I like how she's written in a way that doesn't cater to the usual standard of fls that has to be extremely pure (for the ml) with no previous romantic interaction or experience.
Also excited for the angst because its based on a good story. Since I trust this production team, I expect those will be executed well. I especially look forward to the showcase of the leads acting on those scenes.
