Rewatching, 4/20 and CMB really did well as the younger counterpart of PEB.
The crown princess is so pretty, she reminds me of SNSD's Yuri.
The first few eps made me recall how much I dislike the spoiled, entitled and jealous 2fl.
And the HwiHyun running away scene will always be one of my faves and the ost Hide & Seek will always be their song for me.
This'll be a good watch this holiday break.

Just in case my og comment gets misunderstood, I'm talking about the people who doesn't want romance or saying it'll ruin the story/drama when it's literally part of the plot.
I myself is here for the fantasy/supernatural genre, but I know romance is part of it. I guess I just expected them to have known it too before they started watching.

I wonder why many seems to have an aversion to romance when the plot is revenge turned love/enemies to lovers.

I just hope there's more to 2fl's character in the present time other than a possible 3rd party to the leads.

I guess I was just expecting the leads since Nolto is Tvn and Bulgasal airs right after Nolto, broadcasted on tv and not just a random interview online, the perfect time to promote the leads.
Anyways, I got my answer, I've seen the ep and they did show GSY's Blue Dragon Awards clip. So yeah.

No wonder they have hq bts photos together. Still, it's usually the leads that promote the project, unless fl's agency is not doing their job.

I've seen about 2-3 of fl's fans disliking ml/working with him, idk what happened. I watch Nolto regularly and its always the leads (regardless of gender) that come to promote.

The romance tag is definitely for ml and fl, so I wonder why 2fl is the one promoting the drama with ml on Nolto.
Or maybe they're capitalizing on GSY's recent Blue Dragon Film Awards win/recognition.

It's quite hard for a drama to achieve double digits on weekdays with all the variety shows, esp. since this drama is also available on a streaming site where many prefer the convenience of having no commercial breaks and watching on their own time.
The rating is very much deserved with that good finale ep. Congratulations Yeonmo!

20/20 I liked the things they kept from the webtoon and the things they changed for the drama. The ending was proper and clear. It wrapped up well.
As a sageuk, the fl is strong, smart and the main character that drives the plot as the crown prince turned king. As a romance, Park Eunbin and Rowoon's chemistry was good and the reverse cliché was entertaining. The fl being the hero and the ml as the love interest was refreshing.

Overall, despite my initial doubts because 5/6 of the mains are newbies, this turned out to be my favorite from kdramaland this year. Park Eunbin's acting alone makes this drama worth watching. Her 25 years of experience was evident. It was good to have her back in a historical drama, and Yeonmo was definitely worth the wait. Long live the King!

The latest reuters vid is so cute, though I probably shouldn't expect sweet scenes in the drama. If there's some, good, if not much, still fine.
But my expectations for the wuxia and action is high based from the novel. Hoping the drama delivers.

19/20 and I like that fl didn't pardon Commander Jung just because he is her bf's father. But at the same time I didn't like how she apologized to ml for that.

It was nice to hear fl address and praise 3ml by his real name, because he too lived under a different name and life. Seeing him walk beside her is like Commander Yoon with the former king.
It was also good seeing the siblings reunite. But the preview, I hope they won't take the remaining family she has from her. They can make 2ml the king without killing off fl's brother. But casualties are inevitable so I guess I should cherish seeing fl's brother, court lady, eunuch and bodyguard all alive before the last ep. tonight.

Lastly, fl was so cool from beginning to end esp. when she delivered the "Any man who stands against my royal guards will be considered a traitor!" line as a hero coming to save everyone.
Happy or not, hoping for a good ending.

I don't follow c-celebs but because of this drama I've been hearing how professional and hardworking WL is. Same with LS, though it might not be obvious just by looking at her since she's bubbly but her interviews show she's mature with strong mental. So I thought they'd be able to play their roles well. Even the director was praising them.
Indeed, the photos and teasers really made me have expectations. This drama is high up in my ptw list next year.

Regardless if true or not, I'm not surprised with the rumor of the leads being offered another drama together. I can already feel the chemistry from the few reuters, so how much more the people they actually worked with that had seen them in person.

The cast all looks good in the posters and teasers, but I would also like the hq of that cp shoot please, thank you~

Random, and nothing against LHK, but YML would've been visually ideal as Xichen with the resemblance to WYB.

I agree. The least he could do is be honest with her after all they've been through. Instead he lets her misunderstand and get hurt.
And even though fl couldn't tell 3fl yet, at least she comforted her. And it seems she will tell her everything herself next ep. which is important and better than 3fl finding out from others.
