I thought so too but his actions afterwards wouldnt make sense if we was evil...
i thought so as well, but he still has to maintain his position as head of the investigation unit. if he sabotaged them publically, it would be too obvious. he might no be the villain, but are we assuming that only kids survived the massacre? i also wondered if he has a split personality and when he juggles the preserved walnuts, it's his other persona.
I still don't understand why jiang ting's action is justifiable defence but not li mufang's?
in his jail-room testimony at the public hearing, (ex-)prosecutor said that he made his determination because he feared a justifiable defense verdict may influence the chinese public. his statement invalidate any claim that he made his decisions based on the law or prosecutorial procedures. i feel this show is just low-key teaching chinese viewers to lack empathy unless it's to protect predators.. if they're just using defendants as examples to control the public, why even pretend the law has any value? he's also a hypocrite because he said he used li mufang as an example, but rejects his use as a scapegoat for the prosecutorial office.
i found the illustrator character in riverside code so interesting. i hoped for a drama focused on illustrations. i got my wish in this recent arc. i didn't expect much when i started watching this drama, but it has developed into a masterpiece. i hope the quality holds until the end.
Mr. Ha actually want the company to fail right? I mean, how he tells absolutely everything to PPF clearly said…
i don't think mr. ma knows that the fund is run by his chairman's son. even if father and son are estranged, there is no way mr.ma's deceit doesn't come to bite him in his ass.
this is filmed so much more tastefully than queen woo and the queen who crowns. just proves they can film mature scenes without them seeming crude and raunchy.
He’s not toxic… they both just misunderstood each other for a few early episodes
of course, he did. that doesn't make the execution less toxic. he proves himself to be toxic in the next episode(s) when he parks himself in the yard of the ex-fiance and cuts down her tree. he's toxic.

what does this have to do with someone rescuing you from danger and putting you in a situation where you still think you're in danger when they could actually help you feel assured and safe? that wouldn't be normal then or now.
frozen flower has left a permanent scar on my psyche.
