The "law enfforcement above all" ending was too bitter for me. It gave the impression this drama was about the…
i haven't seen the ending yet, but i did wonder about how a typical ending to a law enforcement-centered chinese drama (the state always wins) will mar the ending of this work.
imagine your mother sacrificing your future for that idiot brother. i'd have left and never looked back. besides mei wei's character, her mother is her biggest enemy.
She shot his dad and the only thing she can talk about is the money??? Where is her heart?
they would have been rewarded for capturing a murder and a thief. they would have also recovered the lost payroll for the town. and, they wouldn't have punished the son for being an off-spring of a criminal.
you can't blame mr. he for wanting and exacting revenge, but his revenge is so dishonest. he just uses people. it's manipulative and underhanded. i don't think he evens finds satisfaction for revenge. he finds reward in those he sacrifices. in the end, rather than get revenge by his own hand, he ran away. he is an angry coward.
he was ill. he seemed to have a chronic illness in earlier episodes.
all i remember is him coughing or needed rest after speaking or walking. someone asked him if he was ok. he said it was nothing serious, so they wouldn't worry. i don't recall when in the previous episodes. it could only be in 2 or 3.
Agree with this. It more interesting after she's married.
it has been more interesting after the marriage, but every episode since then has had massive death flag vibes for the husband. i hope it's a happy ending.
My own opinion but This show went through a Production company, Producers, Writers, Directors, etc. the Actors/actresses…
i was unable to get drawn in during the first episode. i'll give it another chance after its run. the one thing i can say stood out to me were the tasteless sexual scenes. there is nothing wrong with depicting sex in media, but the way these were shot seemed like soft porn in style. but, let's not place all the blame on western media. western media has a lot to be responsible for, but frozen flower exists. in my opinion, korean drama just doesn't know how to depict sexuality very well, and we viewers are punished for it.
his inner strength and ability to discern is determined by how emasculated he feels by the queen. this makes him weak.
