I just randomly saw a clip of yt of PSJ's jaw dropping as he looked at HSH lol and I felt a bit intrigued. The concept looks cool and I am a sucker of historical colonial dramas. I know romance isn't the main focus and I've seen a lot of criticism towards it here but I genuinely wanted to ask if it complemented the vibe of the drama? Like a compassionate scene here and there in between all the crazy? That's enough for me. I don't want it to be the main focus but it should be just the right amount.
I thank the gods that they didn't go with the overused misunderstanding trope. In DDH we trust! Again, the second leads have surpassed annoyance for me. They're something else.
No real love triangle bcs both the leads are really into each other but there's 2ML/FL who have one-sided love…
I would say yes. They are the only down side for the drama imo. I hate this trope too but the leads chemistry is so good that I can push through it. Also, they don't have that much screentime (the most was in ep7) so if their scenes make u uncomfortable, you can just skip them.
Side note but my heart flutters whenever I see their wedding rings. Especially that last shot of his ring covered in 💉. I love wedding rings so much! It isn't mandatory in my culture so maybe I'm romanticizing it but there's something very romantic about them!
