Okay, I started this and I am only on episode 4. I’m just so much more invested in the secondary couple. I find the first couple uninteresting. Seriously this is the first drama where I want to skip through the main couple parts to get to the second couple. I just bet that as I start reading all the comments below I’ll see I’m not the only one thinking that way.
Normally, I love watching fight scenes, and I love PBG, but this is the first time I've shouted at a character…
I know. Right? It’s like I want to shout at the TV, “Make better choices!” The guy is facing dozens of men with pipes, knives, and axes every week. Ha Na at least knew how to bring a gun to a knife fight. Still she is stupidly went in alone.
I’m just starting it now. Just by reading the synopsis it’s giving me a similar vibe to “Old Fashioned Cupcake,” which is one of my all time favorites.
When the wrong answer is selected it will circle back to the answer options. Selecting the correct answer is the…
Thanks for letting me know, I am glad it wasn’t glitching. I purposefully set it up that way so that the game wouldn’t end if the wrong answer was selected.
Watch him in An Incurable Case of Love 😮 that's my favourite work of his
It’s a favorite of mine too. He is fantastic in it. 😂 in fact I just watched it again this week because I was getting tired waiting for the next episode. He just always has that smoldering look on his face which is 🔥 On the rare occasions when he smiles it transforms him into such a cutie. He is so good in this.
When the wrong answer is selected it will circle back to the answer options. Selecting the correct answer is the only way to advance to the next question. Could this be the issue? I have been working with tech support to try to clear up a glitch where the questions are changing their order but we haven’t be able to duplicate the problem.
I’m half way through and I’m enjoying this. I did see the Korean one so I’m familiar with the story so I’m not minding the fast passing. It good. It’s not going to be better than the Korean one but the Korean one had more hours to dive deep into things. Bonus, if you are a fan of Japanese BL, like me, this has some BL all stars, Kiyoi from “My Beautiful Man” is looking all grown up, and Akira from “Minato Coin Laundry“. Awesome!
Why I believe the ML in this is a total Green Flag… She sets the boundaries and he follows them. His subtle behaviors show how badly he wants to kiss her through the entire drama. He is always staring at her lips and there’s a number of times where he runs his thumb across her bottom lip. It’s subtle and good acting and directing. It’s also sexy. He doesn’t cross the line she set. This is also very sexy.
I loved the Korean version so much that I knew the I would love the Japanese version as well. Then I saw who the ML was going to be and I got super excited. Satoh Takeru Is a favorite of mine. He just has so much charisma. This drama has delivered so far on my high expectations. I can’t wait for the rest of the episodes to drop.
Young Prince Slytherin’s speech had the most emotional impact on me. I feel so dang bad for him. My next favorite was Ravenclaw‘s. Women do make up half the population so I probably would have voted for her if I was at Hogwarts. I thought Gryffindor gave the most “pandering to the people” speech, like a true politician. Even though Gold Harry Potter’s speech was well rounded by including all the Hogwarts Houses, and was politically charged with the people’s current issues, it still didn’t win. This was surprising because he was favored to win. Still it was so obvious that Slytherin was going to rig the votes. Slytherin was just being Slytherin. Of course they cheated. I've been thinking about what my biggest problem with this show is and after episode 10, I finally know. The story…
I agree. I just keep falling asleep when watching it. That’s a good indicator that I’m not invested in it. The mining/dust issues seems so forced. These songs that keep popping up feel awkward and cringe. Still I love the cast. The main couple and the other two competing in the tournament are all great. It’s just they haven’t been given enough to work with and as a result I’m just not caring about them. The opulent sets and costumes are great. This really had so much potential to be great but I’m finding it boring. I will still finish it because now they seem to be shifting focus back on the tournament and I have hopes it will get better.
Can we talk about Prince Chana‘s eye brows? When he forough his brows in frustration his right eye brow looks crazy. It twist and distorts until it’s almost vertical. I’m truly amazed and distracted by it.

This is my favorite Japanese drama.
