Okay, this is going to be more of an opinion than a spoiler but I don’t want to give anything away, so I will…
This drama is wacky. A few things are bothering me. 1. The student/teacher relationship is just super “icky.” It seems to be normalized in Japanese dramas. I say this because I have seen many Japanese dramas that have the student/teacher romance plot. Still in the State is a serious “no, no, no” taboo. I can’t help it. I’m trying to keep an open mind but, to me, it’s giving me a predatory vibe that I just can’t get past. 2. Taking-kun seems to have the mental capacity of an adolescent, 12 year old naive boy that yells everything. I know this is adapted from a manga so everything is exaggerated but “double ick.” I get it… he’s playing a cute character in a cute BL drama but it’s giving me “pervert vibes.” Still the drama is not without its entertaining parts and Toki-kun was a pretty Snow White. That was super cute and funny.

Just had to visit this page because I’m totally missing this drama. Seriously, this drama is at the top of my all time favorites now. I really enjoyed it. ❤️ My love and appreciation for all who participated in the making of the “The First Frost.”
This show has little dialogue but loads of flashbacks, with slow sad music playing as the characters sit and stare into the nothingness while looking miserable. If that sounds like something you like than you aren’t going to want to miss this one.
What is with this show? All the characters in it horrible in their own way? Some or worse than others, seriously it’s an unlikable group. The writers try to make you sympathetic towards everyone (except the ML horrible parents) but it didn’t work. Bonus, it has Song Kang in it and he is dreamy but he spent the entire two seasons sulking and pouting and being a spoiled brat. Not a good look. Their acting is good but their character are just bad.
is there love triangle!? and break up!? and is fl apologize for her double identity and lie to him and chase him…
I get it. That was crazy. It does get better. I will say it is very contrived/forced in parts. They have a crazy unrealistic setup for the FL to impersonate The SFL but when she does that storyline becomes entertaining.

There is a slight love triangle with the SFL but the SFL is “Awesome!” She is hilarious. Veronica Parks is one of the best Kdrama characters ever. FL does apologize and deeply regrets her actions and hurting ML. At first ML pushes her away but then he realizes he loves and chases her a little. Loads of character growth in the ML. There is a bit of a mystery, “who done it” scenario that gets solved and then… Happy Ending.
I’m watching this now and got about halfway through and realized I have seen this before. I have to point this…
Ok, in episode 10 (I think), after the beak-up, and the brutality honest confession by ML she asks him later why he didn’t just lie. He said, “because I fell in love with you,” with tears in his eyes. - up until this point we have seen many example of the ML being , “casually cruel in the name of being honest”. He was brutal to his ex-girlfriend when breaking up and while she tried to get back with him. His cruel honesty of SML elitism and selfishness. This brutal honesty from his is his shtick. It sort of takes away from the, “because I fell in love with you.” Line. 😂 He just a jerk.
Still, I love the toxic males in dramas. In real life they suck.
This is too similar to “Circle of Love” (2023). It basically the same storyline. Are the both based on the same book or something? I’m curious. These short 15 minute short dramas are crazy chaotic.
Is this drama connected to Que Sera Sera (2007)? A while back I heard they were making a remake. I was curious to see if it was out yet so I googled “Que Sera Sera remake.” The top search result… “When Life Gives You Tangerines is a Netflix series that may be related to the Korean TV series Que Sera Sera.” Got to love the vagueness of AI results. Is there a love square in this?

The SFL but when she does that storyline becomes entertaining.
