Enjoyed this. I can’t help comparing it to the Kdrama. I actually liked them both for different reasons. The ML in the Kdrama was a walking red flag but the attraction between the leads was fire. The Jdrama story was still sexy but also very sweet. It wasn’t just about their attraction for each other. Their relationship seems to have more substance in the Jdrama than the Kdrama. The Kdrama’s leads just have more of that sizzling chemistry that makes for a good watch. Both are decent dramas.
Can someone explain to me the dad part and him gifting Yu Hyuk to her with the blue heart on his upper chest,…
- Taxi driver basically foreshadows the entire series (life’s chance for a do-over) on her cab ride back from the hospital. - Cab driver refunds her money. - She notices blue heart on the bill and know that Taxi driver was her dad because of the blue heart - After she returns to the past and later she has a conversation with Yu Hyuk about her “Dad giving her this gift.” In it she explains that her dad would put small hearts on all the gifts (money included) he gave to her. The blue heart was like her dad’s signature. - without actually saying it in words, I believe that it is implied that both her second chance and Yu Hyuk second chance were gifts from her dad. Because she was receiving Yu Hyuk himself as the gift, he had the signature blue heart.
So I have been hesitant on watching this drama because it just looks so darn depressing. I tried to stay away from shows that are way too sad. I need light with the dark. Should I stay away?
I love Sung Hoon. Why is he so vastly underrated in all the best actor list? He is in my top 5 favorites. I have seen where people say he can’t act and that he “phoned in” his performance here. i just don’t see it! I think he’s amazing. He’s so good at acting vulnerable. It just makes me want to give him a hug. It also helps that he is super good looking. 😂 This drama is so very good. The villain Mom is the absolute worst. I HATE her so much. It makes the story way better when the villain is universally hated.
I’m currently watching this for the third time. I really love this drama. It might just be my favorite of all…
Okay, It’s all about Sunny and the Grim Reaper reincarnation story. Would love to see more of it. I love the brief look into it we get in episode 16. Somewhere in the telling of their love story the remember their past lives and meet up again with the Goblin and his bride. Even if it’s just a cameo. I guess we could just pretend the main couple in “Touch Your Heart” was their reincarnation story. No, I want an actual Goblin 2 with both couples and the nephews.

i was so excited when I finally got around to starting this... but now it's just actually annoying me😅 and…
Yes, I totally agree! She is WAAAY too obsessed with DNA and that seriously got old fast. Her “pouty” face is annoying. In the first several episodes she kept screaming, not yelling words. No, it was like neurotic screams of frustration played for laughs. It was weird. I kept thinking, “who does that in real life? No one, nobody does that.”
I’m watching this now. It’s not bad but it’s not great. It’s sort of “meh.” I’m halfway through it. The FL is annoying. The DNA is so much of the plot and it doesn’t make for a compelling (nor romantic) story.
I’m like, WHAT’S IN THE TRUNK?!!!!… Oh, baby stuff. 🤦🏻♀️Sort of anticlimactic, right? 🤔…
Yeah, I understood that was his exes. That was the one the police had and the one that I thought held the mystery. So she didn’t have very many belongings and in episode one we got a glimpse into her trunk when she moved in to ML house and opened it. It just had all her clothes and stuff. It also supposedly had a copy of their marriage contact that would expose the company. He grabbed the wrong trunk.
There were a few parts that I feel got lost in translation for me. Those of you who have watched all the way through…
Also how does the FL kill her Mom? Is this metaphorically? Did she metaphorically kill her mom by dating a bi guy? Or metaphorically kill her off in her head, ie “she is dead to me” after her mom ruined bi guys life?
Also why does she blame herself for the suicide of her friend in collage?
To many confusing plot points. I still did really enjoy the drama.
I really loved the chemistry between the leads! I would totally believe if someone told me they were together…
Yes! Gong Yoo is very attractive. I have liked him since Coffee Prince. I think he is at his finest in Goblin. I just really like his personality in that drama.

Okay, I realize this left me with way more questions than I first thought.
Regarding the timing on the ex’s walk out into traffic…
We see a scene when she is in the restroom distressed. At first I thought she was loosing the baby and we would find out later she had a miscarriage but no, she actually knowingly walked out in traffic to kill her baby.
Could that restroom scene indicate that she was going into labor? Did her water break? Did she walk out in traffic at that time because she was in labor?
- Cab driver refunds her money.
- She notices blue heart on the bill and know that Taxi driver was her dad because of the blue heart
- After she returns to the past and later she has a conversation with Yu Hyuk about her “Dad giving her this gift.” In it she explains that her dad would put small hearts on all the gifts (money included) he gave to her. The blue heart was like her dad’s signature.

If so, she is way evil.
