Oh okay so this is definitely not my cup of tea, thanks for the responses I like equal romantic internal dynamics where both people in the relationship are willing to do anything for each other regardless of how their power dynamics manifest outside in society. If this was a case of him understanding her need for freedom and therefore giving into her because of it like you said but also at the same time her wrestling with that but ultimately loving him more than she wants that than yeah but otherwise not my style.

That sounds really interesting but I think maybe they changed the story for the drama? They tend to do that a lot and she's the one pushing him away as opposite to the novel, I hope they at least portray an equally devoted dynamic but that trailer and the usual track record of cdramas make me very doubtful.

I'm glad she's a feisty badass but can I ask, you talked a lot about their relationship from his side and how he doesn't let other people mess with her and gives her opportunities to leave the court etc but how is it from her side? Because from the preview it looks like she's always either storming off/stabbing him/ refusing to touch him. Is this the case of a badass lady also protecting and supporting her love interest as he does or it's just the ML doing that like most cdramas.

One of the things I loved is how competent everyone was, they found a way to have setbacks and worthy opponents while avoiding making the characters seem stupid or incompetent, I also really appreciated how much heart this show had, all the main characters had such kindness and compassion for each other and their victims and it was heartwarming to see.

Do you think they'll spend a couple of episodes on XH's revenge and her being his ride or die as you said in the novel ? It doesn't seem like they have enough time for it.

There aren't a lot of crime dramas that have female characters like this unfortunately but Secret forest has a great fl who is smart and knows how to fight, same thing for Signal, Fiery priest has a sfl who's a cop and a great fighter, City hunter's fl is a bodyguard, Nobody knows's lead is a female cop, Suspicious partner's fl is a lawyer who can fight as well.

I really enjoyed this show, good cases and great team chemistry, I loved that everyone was competent in their own ways and that the team's best fighters and drivers were the women, also one of the only shows that was clearly setting up a 2nd season from the start and it's not a cash grab that ruins the story because it got popular.

Yes I would love a review because it seems almost no one watched the show, hopefully we'll get some decent subs later.

Maybe, I certainly hope we get to see her helping him as much as he has or even a little bit close but I doubt it. I love them but they definitely do not fall under the "mutually supportive and devoted" category, their entire relationship is based on her going to him for help, he even gets pissy about it one episode, I don't doubt she's attracted to him or she trusts him, maybe even loves him? But that part is just not true. I often see people talk like this about couples when they mean just one person doing something and it's almost always the ML and if I read this without knowing anything about the show I would be expecting a completely different dynamic and be disappointed :)

I agree but I don't think "support each other whenever the most needed with all resources at hand " applies here although I'm not caught up yet because it's the case for him helping her in every way he can but I can't say the same is true the other way around unless I missed something, it's always been him helping her.

thanks, that's my favorite type of couple, badasses who are willing to do anything for each other. How faithful has the show been to the novel so far? Does she start to fall for him early or later? Because I think so far in the show she's only focused on revenge and I think they changed it in that he's the one who falls first in the drama not her which idk why but sure??

Does she help him in everything and every way too? Because in the trailer she tells him to use her as his pawn as well and that she'll help him and put her life in his hands. Also I think someone said in the novel she falls first ? Is that true because they changed it in the drama.

There's so much stupidity in the first episode alone, things that make absolutely zero sense. You mean to tell me a random girl comes up to this man when he's about to kill himself, tells him she's a lawyer and she knows things about him she's just supposedly guessing because she can "read" people and offers to help him and then a few days alter when he doesn't know her or anything about her, convinces him to stab the male lead when her reasoning doesn't even make sense because what do you mean "he's going to blame his sins on you" wtf does that even mean? I get suspension of disbelief but this is too dumb even for that.

So Sun Jae is allowed to spend 3 timelines doing everything in his power to protect Sol even at the cost of his life every single time but she's not allowed to erase their meeting to save him ? He can spend 2 timelines loving her and suffering for 15 years but she can't? It's romantic when he does it but not when she does? Not to mention he's obviously either time traveled as well or going to remember everything somewhow.

Sun Jae being hopelessly in love with Sol and not caring about his death if it saves her has everyone fangirling but Sol doing the exact same thing because she loves in the same hopeless all consuming way he does is considered a problem. Sure she could've been smarter about it but she's acting from a place of emotion and not reason. I grasp the appeal of the perfectly devoted male lead but there's nothing better than a couple that's perfectly devoted to each other and Soljae embody that completely.

I know we all like to talk and joke about how much of a loser in love SJ is but I honestly don't think IS loves him any less than he loves her. The way she always puts his safety and happiness first, sometimes even ahead of her own warms my heart. They're just two genuinely decent people who adore each other and that's beautiful.

I think for a relationship to work, it shouldn't be one person who is always more understanding and mature and loving and giving but both people should always try their best to be that for each other and when one falters, the other picks up the slack, if it's always one person doing the work then that's not a partnership and something any of us would want for ourselves but we all have different views I guess. Also can I ask what you meant by "she loves him x100000 times it seems", that sentence confused me.

I just read the spoilers on twitter and wow... They get engaged then she breaks up with him and then they get back together at the end ????

Yeah it was obvious she was going back but was it handled badly? Like did they discuss it or???
