They've barely shared any screentime together but there's already this tangible thread of *something* between them and it is so palpable and electrifying, even beyond the physicality of it they were both there for each other in some of their lowest moments, he comforted her and gave her his handkerchief and stayed with her after she reached for him and she ;albeit indirectly; gave him a piece of a cake that was obviously very important to her on his birthday when he was feeling low in turn providing comfort and warmth ( the contrast between him eating the cake and being so grateful for it in his non-answer to her text vs her husband outright rejecting it because it's from a *cheap bakery* says it all).
I'm really liking this show but I couldn't care less about her husband and whatever almost cheating BS he has going on, his scenes with his ex girlfriend make my skin crawl.
Seok hyung is thinking 10 steps ahead, like Jung won now that he's decided to pursue Min ha it seems like he's very serious about her to the point of marriage even , after his last experience with his ex wife he was adamant to not put someone else through that but he really loves her so he's preparing already by pretending that he plans to go to the US but he'll be like I'll stay but only bc of min ha to his mom so she treats her well, king behavior truly and something he wouldn't have done before and I think it's a combination of his growth as a person as well as how much he cares about min ha.
The thing I love about the leads relationship so far is they're not spending a lot of time together yet, in the sense that it all feels completely natural, the way they interact and meet each other, it doesn't feel forced with a billion nonsensical coincidences that constantly put them in the same space, it just feels like two people being slowly but surely drawn towards each other.
That scene with the pervert was the funniest sh*t I've seen in a while, the way she hit him twice and then du shik knocked him out and they both fell to the floor lmfao, also him instantly going to her and touching her face checking is she was okay *swoooooon*.
I have nothing against cha eun woo, he's not what you would call a good actor in my opinion but he was perfectly servicable in rookie historian goo hye ryung, but going from Im si wan to him is definitely a ........ choice.
All three female leads are great actresses who are still underrated, but if you're gonna do a drama about women in their thirties how about you actually cast women in their 30s...
I was not on team Rafael while watching the american version but these two had such insane chemistry in New tales of gisaeng I can definitely get on board.
This writer has written some of the best korean movies ( miracle cell no7, as one, my annoying brother) but also some really horrible dramas( Bel ami and Entertainer), setting aside the fact that it makes no sense whatsoever that the same person wrote these shows and movies, let's hope this drama is of the same caliber as his movies not his dramas.
So season 3 is not happening right? all three female leads have booked dramas for the upcoming year, and shin hyun bin has three main roles lined up...
This is from the writer who did Argon and Crowned clown, both very well written shows but also quite heavy and serious, with the trend of drama teasers lately being complelety misleading when it comes to the tone of a show, I wouldn't count on this show being a lighthearted comedy.
I can't do this one episode a week thing with this drama, I just can't. As soon as the episode starts time flies and then we have to wait another week *cries*.
Ryoc : Wait, go with C and D, A and B already had their happy ending.
Lmao, comedy kings.
