Actually her parents are quite comedic, esp her mother... its hard to be serious with them around LOOOOL Its fine I just enjoy the novel and drama as two different medium.... The drama team did their very best to retain the best parts from the novel and also fixed some logic flow issues as well

Yes in the novel, Su yishui actually specially chose a childless couple for her as her parents... they doted on her and they were so happy even though they were poor.... SIGH, I kind of liked the fact that the FL is not 'all alone in the world' trope again... but I guess they were too comedic for the drama..
