I was so happy when I finished the first ep after a long wait becos so far alot of new dramas have been disappointing after they air... this one lived up to my hopes and more!

Ye Xian's sister's husband is the fifth son in the Gu family. As far as I know, there is no third son? In the novel, the eldest son and third son have already passed.

Ye Xian's nephew appeared in Ep1 and the ep where he brings his uncle to trek up the mountain. He was the reason Ye Xian even went to Gu Jinzhao's coming of age ceremony in the first place...

Same!! I don't know what they are thinking, doing just one ep a day... and the VVIP that is one ep ahead of everyone else, is just giving all the spoilers, ruining the episodes when it does come out

Drama made it clear right in ep1. Her cousin calls him 舅舅 which is his mother's brother. Since their ages are similar, it has to be his mother's much younger brother.
So Ye Xian's 'rank' is one level higher than the fl, since she is the cousin of his nephew, who is related to FL on her father's side, because he calls her 堂姐.

In the novel, Chen Xuan Qing is actually the ml's son! hahahaha Guess the drama is super afraid of how it will look, having the fl fall for the son before the father, esp after they did scrap the whole rebirth storyline, so they made it such that Chen Xuan Qing is the adopted 'heir' for the Fifth brother, because he died as a child, so apparently he gets some designated child to carry on his line, even though they are not even blood related. Its just a very strange arrangement, but I see it as just a way for the drama to make CXQ the ml's nephew rather than his son. Fourth brother is a psycho, sixth sister is still unmarried, so they just forced that in?

Ml is already married. They seem to have kept to the novel and made him a widower, but without any children. He has 2 in the novel. Drama probably afraid of complications haha

The subs are to blame. In Ep 7 when his buddy teased him about how Chen YY's mother is making arrangements for his marriage. In the chinese dialogue, 续弦 xu xian means to remarry.

In olden days, a couple is described as a zither. When the wife passes, the zither's string's snapped. So remarrying means to 'restring' the zither again.

I am sure the prime cell can take turns, since Yumi is now older and thats when work-life balance comes in right lol writer cell is already matured to a level, it won't degrade just because it is not in charge all of the time
Ideally we go to work, then we go home... different cells should be in control... if love cell rules the entire day, probably nothing will get done hahahahah

I just jumped into this season and its been great so far... other than having issues knowing which cell is which, it all gets sorted out pretty fast by ep2

Update: Sadly I tried to watch S2 of TIC but it was bad. So bad I couldn't get pass the free eps so I didnt bother to subscribe to watch it. What a great pity.

I completely agree with you! This little gem was very underrated when it aired, but the warmth of the characters, interesting storytelling style, interesting cases was so winning!

I tried CD since I liked LLD but omg it was so horrible and ungrounded I couldn't stand it.
People standing in a sea of flames like it was not scorching, huge unexplainable winds blowing indoors due to a big indoor tub drain that acting like a vacuum in space sucking adults in. *eyerolls*

Due to the success of "women as coroner", suddenly many drama fls start dabbling in this.
They don't wear masks during autopsy, uses pretty embroidered fabric gloves like it won't be in touch and stained with corpse liquids - a completely stupid gift from the CD's male lead LOL

I am looking forward to S2 so much, and I really hope the team dynamics and the story will be able to remain as good as S1.

yeah, the 2fl is too much like her father, and even now I cannot tell for certain if the Grand Prince is just manipulating her or he is really so loyal to the Crown Prince... sometimes his facial expression is hard to read...

Since the story keeps making references to the Heungbu and Nolbu's story... seems to have included Nolbu's evil wife lol

If you are asking for something new and fresh, I would have to objectively say no.

This drama is so full of the usual tropes, that if I didn't have a very strong liking for both leads, I will not even consider watching ep3...

Its yet another marriage contract drama built on one (flimsy) lie which will snowball out of their control, creating more chaos in both their lives, while real love will bloom as they get busy faking it to everyone else out to catch them. And they have so many sides to cover! lol

So I am saying this at the risk of being hated on by some others, but I don't think this drama is for you sadly. However, if you are ever in the right mood one fine lazy day, you can load up ep1 and see if the leads can change your mind!
