This drama was solid from start to end, really a pity that it couldn't break the heat index last night but I think it will be a classic and we will remember this for a long time instead of it being forgotten too quickly like just another generic drama.
Hopefully this is the weekend, and drama viewers will have the time to focus and let it end with a bang it deserves!
Hi I realize the ending might not be very clear for non-Chinese speakers. This is my take on it. Spoiler ahead…

From what I understand, the drama is literally being meta. We watched a drama [ A Dream in a Dream] which is a script where an actress transmigrates into a drama she was going to film, falls in love with the drama characters and after she goes back into her real world when that drama 'ends' with a HE, and the male lead had followed her back out into 'her' world.
There seems to be no Nan Feng. Nan Heng didn't 'replace' Nan Feng. There is no 'override' or take over of his body. In Ep1 of the drama where they 'met' for the first meeting, it looks like Nan Heng had already transmigrated out to follow her into her world, but at that point of time, Song Xiaoyu don't know him. They purposely made Nan Heng fidget and examine everything small thing before him with interest, much like how he did when he was in Song Yimeng's room. And like the movie Inception, Song XiaoYu spent more than 6 months in one night, and the next day she meets Nan Heng with the memories of the life they spent together.
I really love this ending so much. Nan Heng was clearly someone who really knew nothing about the modern world where Song Xiaoyu is from. He was not pretending not to know ( like Romance on the Farm? ) and didn't have amnesia ( like Love Game in Eastern Fantasy ).
This extra ending solves the problem where Song Xiaoyu can return to her own world and the person she fell in love with can still be with her. Never mind that 'how did he do it?' because they are all just characters of fiction in a fictional world. We don't need too much logic to accept this 'extra' ending ,because its fantasy, not sci-fi.
The joke is, [Qing Ning Yi Meng] is pretty crazy 狗血 but had operated on some clear rules but [Shu Juan Yi Meng ] just tells us to take it lol
So now there is two of them in the world HAHAHAH One is Nan Feng the top traffic star and his 'twin' from a drama world, Nan Heng, who is going to ruin NF's reputation with his fanbase by openly smooching the 18 line actress from his drama
Is IQIYI going to have a express package cause I stopped watching at episode 16 and the anticipation is killing…
This is one of the super rare dramas which already gave the full air schedule from Day 1. From the looks of it, we will only be getting Express from Jul 12 onwards, when they start airing 1 ep at a time over the weekend. Perfect for binge hehehe
I am just so happy we get 2 eps a day and not have any breaks at all... I already find 2 eps not enough!

hahahahahah I ended up skimming the drama for closure so I didn't have as bad a time of it lol I have to admit it was a forgettable series for me, because I already cannot remember alot of the events... I do remember I was very invested in the love story between the ml's ex gf and the Princess's little brother.
I did remember one plot point, which was how ridiculous the ml 'survived' the jump off that cliff in order to execute his amazing 'save the day' investigations... hahah did the assassins not dare to look over the edge of the cliff to see him land in a net? lol

I think she is depending on her 'knowledge' of what she knew about the original script, because she thought it gave her a sort of 'God view' over the insights into every other character, in order to deal with them accordingly. She treated them as 纸片人, 2d characters, not real humans. Also as you said she only remembered the so called 名场面, the highlights of the drama.
The only one she couldn't do so with was Li Shiliu, since she didn't know who he was. Becos of this, she interacted sincerely with him, and in doing so, it changed what the ml thought of her and started to impact the main plot...

My guess is episode 22, she finds LSL with her sister.....but he wasn't voluntarily in that predicament. Maybe…

But in the snippets it looks like she chose to 'break up' not because she thought he was manipulating her ( which might be a tropey easy conclusion ) but because she was still determined to put a stop to their ill-fate... Later on the ml will break the 'famous scenes' with his will hehe I can't wait!

I was looking forward to this and Love of the Divine Tree this year, and both mostly lived up to my hopes and dreams and more! lol
Definitely worth rewatch and the OST is very good, I look forward to it being released on itunes.
