Could have been amazing. Fell far short of the mark. So many opportunities missed. So much circling the drain with the plot. So much that didn't make sense. With all the flashbacks in the series why don't we know more about the white cloaks and their purpose? Why did Granny hold out until the end to tell Van and Miho that bit of information that would have changed everything and saved so many lives? Why didn't she intervene with Yeomji? She had to know she was in danger. What is the meaning/purpose of the fallow deer? Yet again, Eunwoo was much underutilized. All his action scenes were electric. I must say that I am impressed with the amount of rough and rocky terrain that Miho was able to cover in backless, maribou boudoir slippers, however, her skills near the end with the butler were a bit Mary Sue for me. It just doesn't work like that. He may have had that particular kind of training from the Vatican, but she didn't. I would have preferred if Yohan's situation with the butler had been all supernatural but it is beyond the suspension of disbelief that the butler would have been able to do what he did with that small amount of equipment and without a full team considering the damage that was done. The setup at the very end is interesting, but I'd be shocked if this series isn't one and done. So much potential. Really. Pity.
70 mins episode lol. MDL make it 45 mins. They have trimmed 30 mins of episode this is really irritating. The…
Without the cuts perhaps the plot would seem less disjointed and we would care about the characters more. I feel like Van and Goong Tan's arc is supposed to mirror Johan and his brother's arc, but I'm not getting the same power and emotion. There's two episodes left but I hope the best of what was supposed to help us feel for Van and Goong Tan's stolen brotherhood wasn't left on the cutting room floor. Maybe this is why the plot feels like it is circling the drain each episode instead of moving forward in a meaningful and emotionally moving way. I want to feel for Goong Tan the way I did for Johan's brother. I want to feel there is some humanity left beneath all that rage, that something human remains of him even after what he suffered as a child, even after all those years he was tormented in the pit. It is nothing to kill a monster, it is an entirely different thing to kill a human being. There is some emotional cost to that. Or there should be. I want what I assume will be Goong Tan's eventual death to matter. I want his death to be seen as something we realize was necessary but also something we are also able to mourn.
There's also questions about who are the people that Goong Tan killed in the temple(?). Why are they there? Who are/were the people who raised Goong Tan from the pit? Where are they now? There are episodes that seem boring and rushed at the same time. The pacing is all over the place. Maybe the last two episodes will save the whole thing, but there was so much potential for every episode and every character and that should not have been squandered.
Literally every person, whether they are a fan of this show or not, have acknowledged that the leads have chemistry.…
I am sorry that you are deficient in your vocabulary as well. It must all be so frustrating for you, but do try to keep up. Catering to those with special needs was never my strong suit. How difficult and so dramatic it must be for you to start out telling people what opinions they are allowed to have, then when they call you on it turn around and play the victim. No, I don't know you and I have no desire to. I've just had dinner and I fear further contact with you will render me incapable of keeping it down.

Still, your reading comprehension remains lacking along with your total absence of reasoning skills. Nonetheless, I fully expect that your woeful lack of self-control and desperation to believe in your waning relevance will compel you to reply and expose even more of your glaring inadequacies.

I am on about exactly what I've said. I've seen more chemistry between a baby and his grandmother. Pro tip: Google the definition of "utilized" or increase your reading comprehension before you start going on about training flashbacks no one asked for.
I keep wanting this story to move forward and they keep rehashing the same stuff over and over again. Now, we're down to the final 2 episodes and they've got to cram a lot in for this to have any real emotional impact. The two leads barely have any chemistry, Eun Woo's character is utilized entirely too little. Not a lot makes sense. Lust demons are after you and you go to school knowing they might come there? Particularly when you're supposed to be working on getting your powers back? The only plot line that resonated with me was Johan's relationship with his brother.
Just like with the first season, the pacing of the first two episodes is terrible. In a series with only 12 eps, I don't understand why they try to cram the best of it in the last few eps of each season. They don't have eps to waste. I've been waiting for this season since the last one ended and literally fell asleep 10 minutes into episode 8. I don't believe the final eps will disappoint, I just wish they'd either made better use of the pacing or given us a longer series. There's so much potential here.
The trailer promised me a juicy steak, perfectly seasoned, served with dry wine in an elegant restaurant. I got…
And the fries were limp and cold and the Coke was weak. If they had released this last summer when it was originally scheduled to air maybe this would have been easier on the palate but they made us wait months for something that simply doesn't satisfy.
also editing was weird with some action scenes cut oddly and sped up so fast you couldnt tell what was going on
Yes, it is a slow start. Yes, the editing is all over the place. It's like a puzzle where you have to bang the pieces into place to make them fit. Nam Gil's character feels a bit too cartoony. I'd like to see what Eun Woo will bring to his role but so far they've used him powerfully little. The story doesn't make much sense. A chaebol's daughter gets into a scandal in Seoul for flipping a man who was harassing both her and her secretary and gets sent to Jeju to work at a school until everything dies down. Meanwhile, in Jeju she's involved in the demolition of some company's van, steals a car and destroys it, her secretary comes up missing or murdered and she's telling law enforcement that the devil and monsters are after her. Naturally, they don't believe her because the whole incident with the attacked and injured airport security guards certainly isn't convincing enough evidence. The whole "I Judo flipped a guy who had it coming to him" thing back in Seoul is beginning to look pretty good right about now as far as scandals go. Plus, let's make sure that if you have monsters after you you do everything humanly possible to ensure that you are in deserted places like forests and roads at night all by your lonesome. I had such high hopes for this drama, with only 4 more eps in this season I hope I'm not let down but I'm beginning to get the distinct feeling that might be the case.

In all sincerity I had hoped we could be too. Now I must call OZ and schedule you for a frontal lobe replacement as I am trying to get a bill passed for kinder and gentler internet forums.

Even though we disagree on the mechanics of the story, I have enjoyed this discussion with you and your ability to civilly present your point of view. Such discussions make forums like this interesting and fun. It has been a pleasure.

If you think that governments need bills or laws to perform secret medical experiments or procedures than you haven't done enough research to speak competently on the subject. If you think governments need bills or laws to eliminate people they see as a threat then you are hopelessly naive. Banning abortions after 6 weeks gestation, banning same sex marriage or attempting to deny parental rights to gay couples who use surrogacy is not the same as requiring that all fetuses with a "psychopath" gene mutation be terminated. The examples you list are social limitations, killing fetuses because they possess a certain gene is state-sponsored murder. It would be impossible to make that argument when the condemned fetus has not committed a crime. Convicted serial killers who have received the death penalty even have the right to an appeals process that can take decades before their execution is carried out. A fetus who has committed no crimes and may never become violent is afforded no such protections under such a bill. Such a law would never stand. If such pregnancies were to be terminated or such children were to be eradicated it would have to be done in secret. If you do not want to it stated that you must feel you are the only one who has the right to comment on this drama in this forum, then I suggest you refrain from telling other posters that you are "imaging" (whatever that means) them complaining when they discuss the plot holes in this story simply because you lack the intellectual ability to do so.

Although a science fiction element was written into this thriller, that should not mean that the screenwriter is free to utilize deus ex machina and plot holes all over the place. It simply ruins what had been a remarkable series for 10 episodes. While there is no psychopath gene, the MAOA-L gene is the closest thing scientists have found that comes close to one.

Dr. Lee, while he was in hiding, had no way of knowing the extent of JBR's brain injury or that Han Seo Jun had performed the surgery using Yo Han's brain while Yo Han was still alive. He knew that Han Seo Jun had transplanted a portion of one mouse's brain into another mouse, but he couldn't have known that they had allowed Han Seo Jun to perform that surgery on JBR. Dr. Lee may very will have been able to conduct the DNA tests himself, but he would have needed equipment and he would have needed supplies. One of the most popular methods (polymerase chain reaction) to test DNA would require a thermal cycler, a DNA probe (usually 4 to 6 probes per test) or there is another method (short tandem repeat) which requires an electric fields and very specific dyes. An advanced microscope is needed, restriction enzymes, a Gel Electrophoresis Machine, computer equipment and analysis software, among other things. Not to mention DNA testing needs to be carried out in a sterile environment to prevent cross-contamination. Now, could Hong Joo have obtained professional second-hand equipment at a price she could afford? Yes, that is within the realm of possibility. Let's say she was even able to afford the supplies. Dr. Lee would still need an adequate and clean laboratory space (certainly not the dump where JBR would visit him to get his next hit assignment).
