The SLs are written so badly. SeMi's only purpose is to ruin it for ES, and also JM. YeonJoon's only purpose is to like and help ES.
They have nothing going on for them. No individuality or development. They need to entangle themselves from ES(mostly SM, YJ's feelings for ES aren't harmful but as a second lead we should know more about him than that.)
Someone commented here how they YJ was their favorite second male lead, but I like to separate a person and a character. YJ is a kind person, but his character is empty.
And this is the difference between an 8 and a 9 rating. Because the murder mystery and the leads are great, the kid is cute and the parents are adorable.
What it lacks in originality, it delivers in quality. Well done tropes are fine, and actually it is quite nostalgic and brings back good memories of old favorites. :)
And LDW is so sexy here even more than usual. Perhaps it's the hair?
