king jeongjo did not force deokim to be his concubine, but that doesn't mean his love wasn't dangerous. there…
Someone told me he punished her slave because he had to punish someone, as per palace rules. I appreciate they toned down San's toxicity from the novel.
My point is irl, if someone does what San did to DI in EP6 and 15, you should run away immediately - however this isn't real so after such bad behavior he actually is very sweet.
Something I noticed about San's love. He wavers from being an adorable dork in love - the love is so healthy and adorable and he'd do anything for DI. To a possessive a-hole that threatens her. My biggest problems were the scenes in EP6 and 15. He threatens to force her to sleep with him, almost unties her blouse in the open air and puts her hand around her neck - these are all red flags and irl I'd suggest anyone to flee. Not in this case. Irl your worst moments are your true nature, but in this script it seemed like the writer wanted controversy.
I sort of get it, but in history JJ's love for Uibin was so heavily characterized by him NOT wanting to force her. This lovestory isn't clear cut adorable like Dong Yi or Yi san. I wouldn't use the word realistic because San's behavior in the two scenes I mentioned are red flags that usually mean he's capable of much worse. It's an abusive behavior but real life men usually have abusive mindsets too.
So the political conclusion here is that both NK and SK are shitty and that's how the writer wants to avoid criticism? By having one foot on each side? The truth isn't always 50/50.
"Young-ro rejects the will of her father and works hand in hand with Soo-ho to save her beloved man and her friends."
At this point I don't even want this, or think they have time for it. Unless they extend the length of the episodes or add another, like they did with TRS.
I've never not liked a drama and not been able to pinpoint what was wrong with it. This just felt like a mixture of 10 older shows with nothing original. It was boring, perhaps because it was so predictable? I've had the feeling before, like Grand Prince. This was a tad better tho.
Keeping my eye on Kim Bum. I liked his character and acting, never seen him before.
She is the most popular member of Blackpink, a global phenomenon as popular as BTS. She sings quite well. I can't…
Jisoo is the least popular member of BP. It goes like Lisa>Jennie>Rosie>Jisoo. Prolly cus she has no "specialty" like the others do. She's the visual. This at least internationally. idk domestic polls
There isn’t much time for YR to forgive. Esp if the dirm incident will span over more episodes. I feel like it’ll drag out. More than cloy this reminds me of princess man
Also the 8 preview, why wrenpeople going crazy for the hug? SH pushed YR into his arms, she’ll probably push him away harshly.

Where should I start :)
