Does TJC starred in any other historical drama where his character is funny like this? I saw that he mostly took serious or heavy roles (I once saw in twitter where he was stabbed with many swords if I'm not mistaken 😔) that's why I never watched his other dramas before.

At first I agree. But as I think about it, I think it's needed for the character to be that way IF the writer choose to develop her character later. A bland Mary Sue or someone that righteous and perfect from the first would make it less interesting. As I observed, all 4 main leads are all have flaws in their character, in which they will lead to character developments.

Agree, I think the idea of FL started out as a man isn't necessary here. It looks like the usual BxG relationship. FL doesn't even behaves like a guy, just look at how he run femininely by how he lifted his clothes or how he fidgeted his hand when he felt nervous. I get it that guy might do the same, but there's a distinct difference on how a girl and a guy express it.

It's similar to drama The Killer is Also Romantic, but a modern version. It has the same scenes like where they hide their weapon in front of each other eyes secretly, by dancing and flirting. Also when FL stomped on an insect but pretend to be scared after that and jump into ML's arms.

Very nice to see Shu Tong in comedic roles from his usually abusive roles. He is really good here and his comedic acting was just too cute! I didn't know his smile is so cute since I rarely saw it.

Sun Lulu and the kid act very well. The kid was so cute and funny haha. A very intelligent offspring from intelligent parents. 😁

Want to comment more but I kinda forgot the whole scenario because I watched it quite some time ago. So, yeah, I think you should watch it. It's better quality than other vertical dramas.
