It was a bit of lazy writing. In typical cdrama fashion, he is silenced by some assassins, and the lead says, "Don't chase them; you can't catch them." Seriously... they are running away, not getting teleported. Also, considering the situation, how come they didn't expect the assassins to appear, Duke Su being so strategic and clever? And all the soldiers who were on the roofs and house windows, how come none of them noticed the assassins joining them? Did the writer forget about them? They should have written this part better with the same outcome.

Yesterday, I was late for work. Today, I didn't go jogging to watch the episodes. 😅 What other things will I neglect to do to be able to watch the episodes straight away when they come out?

To make it more realistic and evoke a sense of discomfort, we can fully grasp the extent of cruelty and its impact, so that the brutality is not only seen but also felt on an emotional level

I feel like none of the horrible people will receive a punishment commensurate with their actions, not that they could considering the level of cruelty they inflicted on those they consider lesser than themselves. That's how it is in real life too, just that in real life there is rarely justice so at least we will get that in the show

For me, it wasn't enough after what he did, especially because she saw the aftermath of all the torture he inflicted on everyone she knew

I am very disappointed in how Magistrate Feng had such an easy ending. He only suffered from a stomachache, was stabbed a bit, and was quickly shot with three arrows to prevent him from suffering too much. This is after all the physical and mental torture he inflicted on everyone, including the people from the village, the soldiers, her father, the girls from the brothel, and the old lady who was killed in an atrocious way by the dogs... They could show us so much cruelty toward innocent people, and then when it was his turn, he got stabbed, and that was that

The scene was there for the scene's sake 🤭. Also, they do dress in layers, so at this point, she could have just put the guy's clothes over her own to look more manly and big. 😅 But it seems Duke Su was adamant that he wanted to show her all his assets. 🙄😅

That was my first thought, but then I forgot about it the moment he offered her his 😅. But really, they could have tried a better excuse to justify the moment 🤣

Not only destroying his career, life, etc., she needs to punch him as well or, as he did, just use the shovel 😉

I like that he left her to deal with it by herself to give her courage, even if he had to help her behind the scenes. She was so proud; I hope she can smack her ex-husband with something too, but without his help 🤣🫢

He can be one of the main characters without being pulled into some senseless love triangle, especially considering there is not much room between the leads for him to fit in. So I hope they will not ruin the story with some random storyline pulled out of nowhere just to add cheap drama. He does seem to admire her from afar; I'm not sure if it would develop into something more serious. Hopefully, he will have some good storyline of his own, even though I remember that in one trailer or promo he was saying something about remembering old times (school times) when he was innocent and naive or something along those lines, but maybe I remember incorrectly 🫢 Definitely, there is more to the character in future episodes

I also love that even though they care about each other in their own ways, they still have their own goals. In most dramas, one of the characters becomes just an accessory to the other person and loses their own personality. JL was like that with her ex-husband. But I hate it when that happens to the main characters. For example, a male lead who loses most of his personality after developing feelings and becomes this enamored, brainless person, or the same thing happens to the female lead, and in the story, they exist solely to aid the other person when necessary 🥲 So their slow-burn partnership here is very nice to see, the way they are to each other without losing their core personalities
