A bit late but I finally finished Squid Game- it was mediocre at best! Wonder how many people liked it because it was trendy? This doesn’t make the cut in my top 10 kdramas of 2021!
Thanks. Netflix transitions always bugs me because certain statements makes it seem uncharacteristic of YJ. YJ…
Netflix subtitles are the worst! To the point where if I’m highly anticipating a show, I hope for it to be on viki instead. They crowdsource subtitles so it take a bit of time, but it’s more true to the actual emotions and dialog portrayed.
Something doesn’t feel right about this show. Maybe it’s how the emotions are portrayed or the decisions people make, or maybe the constant drinking. It doesn’t feel believable! The only ‘real’ emotional scene to me was when Mi Jo first broke down in Jin Seok’s office….
I'm honestly not enjoying any of the characters at all except Ki Joon, and that's only because of Yoon Park's…
Wow 100% agreed! Thanks for saying this! Yoon Park is really doing justice to his role, and Song Kang is over hyped as usual. All his dramas have been mediocre (with the exception of Navillera where the credit doesn’t really go to him). We’ll wait and see how PMY steers brought her role, but I’m not feeling it right now.
I still don't understand how do they drink so much like 5-6 to 10 bottles?! And that too regularly, (yes weekly…
From what I understand, Korea has the highest alcohol consumption per capita so they actually do drink a lot! But I agree, this show portrays these women getting drunk so many times and on back to back days that it makes you wonder if there are signs of alcoholism! I’m 38 so I know it is tough, at this age a hangover lasts almost three days 😂
The most commendable thing this drama did is to make so many people believe this is actually good. It’s just a mess of complications and time jumps. Something that could’ve totally been 12 episodes was so drawn out it made me a bit numb towards the end. I’ll go rewatch Flower of evil now- a MUCH better crime thriller!
This really grew on me! All the supporting characters are so endearing and they all have a wonderful growth trajectory. Behind the silly ghost doctor premise there is a lot of depth!
Is it good? I watched like almost all of episodes one and didn't love it ä. At what point will I be hooked?
Yes absolutely! That part is quite thrilling. You can tell that the showrunners did a lot of research and made it look as believable as possible. Can’t wait for more weather related action 😆
I really don't get MDLs obsession with the ratings.
Lol totally! People get so hung up on these numbers. I have personally dropped shows that are generally well received, just because it wasn’t my cup of tea! 😅 No big deal.
