Same for me! I was so excited for OB but it’s been a drag so far. I struggled to finish episode 4 😭 The anthology format is not doing it any favors!

Choi Joon Ki has the charisma of a doorknob! Absolutely zero chemistry with Yoon Ha! Even Chang soo seems to have more chemistry with Yoon Ha 😅

I think it has to do with the expectations that come with this stellar cast. People will be harsher if their expectations are not met.

Totally agree with your review! This was a youth coming-of-age drama that explored characters choices and how their circumstances forced them to grow up fast. It was beautiful through and through. I’m not offended by the ending at all! Both BYJ and NHD became successful adults and that’s incredible considering the fact that they both struggled through their youth. That in my opinion is another kind of a “happy ending”.

When has tvn ever had 60 min episodes (Looking at you Vincenzo, Mr. Queen, HomeCha…) 😅

Exactly! This was never a “love story” to begin with (I think the preview on Netflix was a bit misleading). To me this drama was a coming-of-age youth experience and about choices that shape your life. We have all done it at some point. I’m in my 30s so maybe the younger crowd doesn’t understand it yet 😊

I finished watching it too and enjoyed it, just that I kept getting Boys Over Flowers flashback 😅

Maybe it’s good that the breakup wasn’t long drawn out, more like a bandaid ripped off quickly. That way we saw more sweet moments between the characters.

Seems like people still love the outdated I-will-annoy-you-till-you-like-me plot. In today’s day and age, the whole smart but submissive female lead going along with the bullying of the entitled rich male lead feels a bit out of place. All in all, Kim Se Jeong and Lee Deok Hwa were pretty good in their roles. Ahn Hyo Seop just can’t act!

There was no real indication that they were still in love years later. At least that wasn’t my understanding. If you have ever parted with someone on good terms you’ll know that there can be mutual respect for years to come and one can wonder what life would’ve been like if they made a different choice. I guess I got closure from this story because it wasn’t a “love story” to begin with. It was a coming-of-age drama that was more about uplifting the ones you love and letting go when needed. NHD was a successful gold medalist and BYJ became an ace anchor. That’s a pretty good ending to a story that started out with only struggles! ✌🏼

Absolutely agree with your comments! The journey which each character embarked on was so special, and I loved how the ending was equally operatic.

Don’t understand the MDLs obsession with a “happy ending”. The story was absolutely where it needed to be and it was a masterpiece from start to finish!

It is only available in certain countries and doesn’t include the US right now. They may release it after the show has finished airing, like what they did with Snowdrop!

@superuser Your post is 100% accurate! Couldn’t have said it better myself. To be honest, Song Kang’s scenes in Sweet Home are the least memorable. It was all Lee Jin Wook & Lee Do Hyun! As for Nam Joo Hyuk, every drama he is in, he gets overshadowed by someone else. At least he picks good scripts. Nothing wrong with a pretty face but it should come with some acting chops 😅
