Totally agree with your review! This was a youth coming-of-age drama that explored characters choices and how their circumstances forced them to grow up fast. It was beautiful through and through. Iâm not offended by the ending at all! Both BYJ and NHD became successful adults and thatâs incredible considering the fact that they both struggled through their youth. That in my opinion is another kind of a âhappy endingâ.
Maybe itâs good that the breakup wasnât long drawn out, more like a bandaid ripped off quickly. That way we…
Exactly! This was never a âlove storyâ to begin with (I think the preview on Netflix was a bit misleading). To me this drama was a coming-of-age youth experience and about choices that shape your life. We have all done it at some point. Iâm in my 30s so maybe the younger crowd doesnât understand it yet đ
Last comment lol. I just wish they took more time before they separate. Just show that HD mentioned to BJ how…
Maybe itâs good that the breakup wasnât long drawn out, more like a bandaid ripped off quickly. That way we saw more sweet moments between the characters.
Seems like people still love the outdated I-will-annoy-you-till-you-like-me plot. In todayâs day and age, the whole smart but submissive female lead going along with the bullying of the entitled rich male lead feels a bit out of place. All in all, Kim Se Jeong and Lee Deok Hwa were pretty good in their roles. Ahn Hyo Seop just canât act!
We are not obsessed with happy endings..we wanted a proper closure. Which was not provided.. they should have…
There was no real indication that they were still in love years later. At least that wasnât my understanding. If you have ever parted with someone on good terms youâll know that there can be mutual respect for years to come and one can wonder what life wouldâve been like if they made a different choice. I guess I got closure from this story because it wasnât a âlove storyâ to begin with. It was a coming-of-age drama that was more about uplifting the ones you love and letting go when needed. NHD was a successful gold medalist and BYJ became an ace anchor. Thatâs a pretty good ending to a story that started out with only struggles! âđŒ
Donât understand the MDLs obsession with a âhappy endingâ. The story was absolutely where it needed to be and it was a masterpiece from start to finish!
I can not find this on my Disney+ at all! Am i missing something? Im in US
It is only available in certain countries and doesnât include the US right now. They may release it after the show has finished airing, like what they did with Snowdrop!
Song Kang is a virus actresses should be aware off. He's really very bad at acting. I always skip some of his…
@superuser Your post is 100% accurate! Couldnât have said it better myself. To be honest, Song Kangâs scenes in Sweet Home are the least memorable. It was all Lee Jin Wook & Lee Do Hyun! As for Nam Joo Hyuk, every drama he is in, he gets overshadowed by someone else. At least he picks good scripts. Nothing wrong with a pretty face but it should come with some acting chops đ
I donât know why a strong educated independent women like Mi Jo became so timid in front of Seon Uâs dad. I get that there is respect but she keeps getting insulted.
A bit late but I finally finished Squid Game- it was mediocre at best! Wonder how many people liked it because it was trendy? This doesnât make the cut in my top 10 kdramas of 2021!
