So almost a month and a half since starting this, I'm finally done! I actually would've finished earlier if I didn't have an exam to study for but turns out, episode 16 was the perfect place to restart! The last few episodes were really intense and I like how they structured the ending.
Truth be told though, I probably wouldn't have started and I certainly wouldn't have finished this drama if it weren't for Yoo Seung Ho's acting. I don't know if it's the character or the actor I find so intriguing but wow, he really amazed me - just so much emotion. I have a strange interest in his character's obsession too.
I have to give credit to Park Yoochun who's never won me in a role before this drama.
I was initially wary of starting because it's a melodrama but to me, while there's plenty sad, I feel like it's well balanced. There's a hell of a love triangle for one thing followed by some pretty intense drama but also, quite a bit of crying - I somehow remained unmoved, even though I'm usually a sucker for anything even slightly sad.
Really liked it!
Watching the raw episodes on YouTube and loving every minute even if I don't really understand what they're saying.
I know one YouTuber is most likely working on a subbed version so fingers crossed that it's up soon.
I love Soo Ah in episode 10 though. She's always been annoying for me but she really stepped it up with that cat fight with Lady Stalker Reporter. I've been wanting someone to give that lady a good shake for the longest while. Good job Soo Ah! Defend your oppa and unni's love <3
I hope all goes well for her with Ki Ho.
Episode 10! Oh my god that ending - I was alternating between high pitched squeals because of the cuteness and gross sobbing at the sadness.
I don't think there's ever quite been a drama like this where I am utterly split between the male leads.
Jin Yi Han is too adorable as Hae Young (gosh, the mustache was priceless!) but then Nam Goong Min unleashes that cute smile and bright eyes and I'm a goner...but for both.
I don't envy Sang Hyo's choice. The only way I wouldn't choose both is if either turned out to be the killer and even that's a tough decision to give up on one.
Honestly, I thought episode 9 was the highlight so far but this - this was too much fun. Lots of laughs and lots of feels.
9 episodes in and I say that this drama deserves a much higher rating.
Also, episode 9 - Nam Gong-min - shower scene - B E S T.
I need more bromantic interactions between Jin Yi Han and Nam Gong-min. Episode 9 just left me wanting more! So good!
(cue the high pitched fangirl squeals)
The ANJELL cameo! Best surprise ever. They used the TW actress and actors but the Korean names and Korean version for Promise You. I like how they blended it so in the end it was still You're Beautiful/Fabulous Boys. Every time a character from that show pops up in another drama, I get excited. It'd have been cool if Jiro Wang made a cameo as well (just so I get to see ANJELL reunited) but also since he was the TW Kin-chan as well as being the TW Hwang Tae Kyung.
I love Jin Yi Han and his character Hae Young but man, Nam Goong Min just makes me love Sung Gyum with every episode passing. My heart stands divided. Nam Sang Hyo has a hell of a choice to make (though it's pretty clear who she's going to be with).
What's not clear to me is this murder thing. All the choices now seem too obvious. I expect the reveal to be a shock.
I remember watching Temptation of Wolves and crying for about 10 minutes straight. I didn't know about Duelist with Ha Ji Won! Now, I have something to watch (rubs hands together eagerly).
Great article!

For a drama that started out promising, I'm disappointed.

Excitement doesn't even begin to cover my emotions. I hope a kind soul will sub it!
I found another MV if anyone's interested. Warning - spoilers and feels ahead: http://www.hunantv.com/v/2/57109/c/1006625.html

Great article!
Next week can't come soon enough.
