Great article!! I personally totally prefer dramas with strong female leads as opposed to submissive, pushover, whiny leads which are quite typical in many Korean dramas. Many of the ones that you mention here take part in my top list dramas like City Hunter, Secret Garden, King2Hearts, Salaryman and Protect the Boss. I hope I will see more and more of these type of characters in future dramas.;)

Hi Edinaa, gosh you will be without your PC for a long time then. I hope it won't take too long for your sake. Yes, I just finished Shut Up Flower Boy Band and I wrote my comment in the drama page if you want to read it. Tonight I will finish Two Weeks which I am really liking and considering one of the 5/6 best dramas of this 2013. I think my next evening drama will be Chuno and I still have to choose something to watch in the afternoons. I hope you have a nice weekend too.

Even if this was a little bit out of my age range as it was about a teenager band, I enjoyed this drama as I thought it gave interesting insights on how difficult it can be to keep a rock band together. In fact the plot shows that the music world is not as easy and fun as it may seem to outsiders and a lot of motivation and perseverance is necessary to be successful. This is not necessarily what every teenager rock band has and I liked the way everyone came to realize this throughout the drama. This is why I thought it was very realistic and I appreciated the way the friendship in the group band was portrayed.

Good morning Edinaa, your weekend sounds really busy but it is understandable as you are working during the week. This morning I will do some ironing and then this afternoon and tomorrow will be relaxing for me. As far as dramas go, I will finish Two Weeks this evening, and I am also about to finish Shut Up: Flower Boy band that I was watching in the afternoons. Yesterday I watched the current episodes of Heirs and Secret so I am up to date with the dramas being shown in Korea right now. I will have to choose what to watch after Two Weeks and for the moment I have no idea really...I will let you know what I choose in my next email. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Hi Edinaa,
I'm sorry to hear about your PC and I hope you get it working again soon. I know what it feels like as I would be lost without my PC too.
Yes I have started watching Heirs but I am not too enthusiastic about it for the moment as it just seems a High School student drama which is not too original so far. I wish LMH had played the role of an adult and not of an 18 year old. I am much more prefering Secret and I am also watching and enjoying Two Weeks at the moment. What about you?

Fantastic article!! I totally agree with what you state here and I would also add that watching Korean and Japanese dramas has helped me a lot to learn about the history, societies and ways of life of two amazing countries like Japan and South Korea.

Hi Edinaa, good to have you back. I am glad you liked the photos in my profile and that you enjoyed TMS and Two Weeks. They are producing such great dramas this year, don't you agree? Wow...you are watching so many!! At the moment I am only focusing on Two Weeks and Shut up:Flower Boy band of the ones that finished and on Secret and Goddess of Fire of the ones that are currently being shown in Korea. Yes I will be watching The Heirs too although I am not too enthusiastic about it at the moment as I would have preferred to see LMH as an adult and not as a student. Happy drama watching!

Hi Edinaa, I'm fine thanks and you? What have you been watching lately? I finished The Master's Sun which I really enjoyed, and I also finished Iljimae which was great. Now I started watching Two Weeks and I am already at episode 6, I'm finding it very good too although the story is quite stressful. Will you be watching The Heirs when it starts?

Title Iljimae
I am so glad I came across this saeguk thanks to a recommendation of a friend. I really enjoyed this this story which reminded me vaguely of Robin Hood but in a much more sophisticated and elaborated version. It was the first time for me to see the great acting talent of Lee Jun Ki and I will certainly watch more of his dramas in the future. I also appreciated Park Shi Hoo's character which didn't have as much emphasis in the drama as that of Iljimae himself but was nevertheless also outstanding.

Ok, I happily add myself to the enthusiastic viewers of this drama as it was so much fun to watch the episodes every week. I found it fresh, funny and most of all original in the way the story was developed. I have to admit that this is the first Hong sisters drama that I enjoyed from the first minute to the last watching it with a smile on my face for most of the time. The chemistry between the two main leads was amazing and they only confirmed my conviction that they are truly fantastic actors although the remainder of the cast was also great (ghosts included!!). I must mention the fabulous OST which was lovely and very well fitted to the story. Gosh I will really miss this drama...

Hi Bettyboo, yes I am really enjoying Iljimae. It's the first time I see Lee Jun Ki and I am very much appreciating his acting talent. I will certainly watch Two Weeks after this. Thanks for your opinion about Scandal as I was really debating whether to watch it or not as I was a bit fed up with family type stories with too much makjang...I might decide to watch it later on as I like Kim Jae Won a lot. Secret has started out really well so far...it seems like there will be quite a lot of suffering in that story as well, although I hope there will be enough romance too.

Hi Edinaa,
I hope you will manage to take some rest from your hard days of work maybe during weekends. It sounds like you are watching and will be watching many dramas. Of the current ones I am only watching The Master's Sun, Goddess of Fire and Secret Love. I am enjoying Iljimae and when I finish it I will be also watching Two Weeks as it has the same actor. I hope you have a nice day. :)

Hi Edinaa, yes I am a little tired after doing three hours of house-cleaning but this afternoon I will rest and enjoy some drama watching. I found the raw episodes of Hanzawa Naoki from here: http://jdramacity.blogspot.it/ and the English subs are on D-addicts. I hope you do enjoy it idf you decide to watch it but I warn you that the plot is about banking employees which migh sound boring but instead it is a very interesting story. I am glad you are enjoying the Master's Sun as I am loving it too. Take care.

Hi Edinaa, yes also the second episode of Secret was good and it looks like it will be a very sad story. Today I also finished watching Hanzawa Naoki which is a very good Japanese drama which had the highest ratings in Japan. Your shopping sounds good. Tomorrow morning I will be doing my weekly house-cleaning so I will be tired. Enjoy your Sunday.

I just finished this drama and found it really original and interesting. Although the economic subject is not on my top list of favourite subjects I have to say that the plot was very well made and with lots of cliffhangers which kept the viewer at the edge of the seat. Sakai Masato was absolutely brilliant here and totally at the centre of the whole story.I am not surprised it had such high ratings in Japan as it dealt with a very up-to-date theme.
