Thanks for pointing out your three favourites of my plan to watch list. I wanted to watch Renai Neet but the English subs are blocked at the first episodes so I have to wait for them to sub them all. I saw that you are plannning to watch Taira no Kyomori. I watched the first 5 episodes of this (and am stuck for the subtitle problem too) and it is wonderful. How was Gou, I saw you gave it a 10 so it must be very good too!

This is a very sad love story and one's heart is torn throughout most of the episodes.However, the acting of both of the main characters is absolutely brilliant and very believable which is why I highly recommend it. It is definitely one of Kimutaku's best performances.

I just finished watching this drama. The music and the setting were very good and the food theme was enjoyable as the dishes looked very tasty.I would have liked more romance in this story as it would have given it more of an edge. On the whole I felt that the story was missing something but it is good for a relaxing watching.

Very good drama!! I agree that Kimutaku is great in this drama both physically and with his acting. The story is very twisted and it keeps the spectator breathless until the end. I thought the leading actress was very good too! I couldn't stand the ex-girlfriend though.

I forgot to add that his best performance in my opinion is in Nankyoku Tairiku.

I really enjoyed this drama. Some action scenes by Eita and Matsumoto were brilliant and all in all I enjoyed the atmosphere and the chemistry between the characters. I was only a little upset that in four episodes Eita was not starring as he should have been part of the cast for the whole drama.

this was a very relaxing and enjoyable drama. Even if the main characters are older than the average drama actors it was a funny and believable story set in a small town outside Tokyo for a change. Fantastic OST.

I had heard great things about this drama and I confirm after watching it that it is a lovely story with a great cast. Even if it was released in 1998 it is still a very contemporary and believable story. It was the first time that I see a drama with Sorimachi Takashi and he is truly wonderful in this main role.

I just finished watching this drama. I have to say that I agree with the second review above in the sense that the story started out really well and it sort of lost its drive halfway through to reach an ending which was quite predictable. The actors were all very good and I liked the OST very much as I thought it suited the story perfectly. I think the potential of this story could have been developed better but on the whole it was a pleasant watching for me and I evaluated it 8/10.

I just finished watching this drama and rated it very highly as I really enjoyed it. I haven't seen the korean version and don't intend to as for me this was the perfect moving story with great actors and a perfect ending.

I just finished watching this drama and I thought it was so and so. I couldn't find the two main actors and their love story particularly convincing as besides the age difference there was also a slight height difference which made it more unrealistic to my eyes. I hope I won't upset the Kame fans when I say that I would prefer him with a shorter hair cut which would make him seem more manly: he is indeed a good actor but I keep on thinking that he looks more like a girl to me. Sorry!

I agree that there was very little passion between the two main characters of this drama. Up until the end I was asking myself if they were really in love or what? The character of Naoko was very well acted, and also women's friendship very well represented. But besides these two positive elements, I really would not recommend watching it if one is looking for real romance.

He is a very good actor and I will follow his future works very closely. I believe he has a lot more potential to delight us with.
