I haven't watched Nagareboshi but I will certainly put this in my list to be watched. I have seen Takenouchi Yukata in other dramas before and he is indeed a good actor. I saw your amazing list of dramas and you have really watched very many, congratulations! One of the dramas that you are going to watch is Nankyoku Tairiku? This is one of my top dramas but I warn you that it is very sad indeed. Another of my top dramas is My Boss My Hero but I saw that you dropped it...how come? Happy drama watching.

Hi Bladey, unfortunately I don't know the language at all which is why I badly depend on Eng. subs... Do you prefer Korean dramas too? I am totally overwhelmed by Kdrama fans and I seem to be one of the few who has watched solely Jdramas so far. I will go and see your profile to see what kind of dramas you like, maybe we like the same kind. I watched most of Kimutakus dramas and at the moment I am watching quite a few with Nagase Tomoya. In any case if you see my list we can check if we have the same tastes. Happy watching!

I totally agree...I absolutely adored the way he played Captain Koda. He should play in more dramas for sure!!

I apologize for the two posts below but I just realized this drama was shot twice, once in 2001 and once in 2003, therefore the information here is correct and I was referring to the one shown in 2003.

ps. I don't know why there is a lot of wrong information about this drama as it was shown in 2003 and the total number of episodes is 11 and not 12.

I just finished watching this. I don't agree with the comment below as I didn't find it boring. I gave this a 7/10 as it is a lighthearted story with some funny parts in it too. It is definitely worth a watch when needing a break from too heartbreaking or involving stories. The acting was good and I liked the fact that the setting was an old neighborhood of Tokyo which is something that is not frequently seen in dramas.

Hi I don't know where to point this out but the lead actress in this drama is not Takeuchi Yuko. I started watching it partly because of this and I was disappointed to find out that it was a different actress. However on the whole it is proving to be a funny story and well worth watching.

I enjoyed this drama very much and I rated it 10 because it is simply one of the best I have seen so far. The mixture of comedy, manga acting and original plot works perfectly well tegether and all the actors are incredibly good. This is the first drama that I watch with Nagase and from what I have seen he hasn't acted in any other similar ones after this one which is a real pity. It is definitely a drama that I would rewatch many times. Go for it!

I enjoyed this drama. I had seen Kame in another drama (Sapuri) and wasn't particularly impressed with him but in this story his character is really strong and his acting is very good. I thought it was a really delicate and poetic story and thought that the ending was great as they caught me by surprise.

This film is good but not as good as the original drama in my opinion. It just seemed like another episode of the drama rather than a film in its own standing and I was not particularly impressed by it but I gave it an 8 all the same because of the good acting of Kimura Takuya and his partners.

Just finished this and it is truly another masterpiece by Kimura Takuya. He has the ability to involve the spectator in the story in an amazing way and I never cared about ice hockey before watching this plot. As always the other characters are very good too and contribute to the success of this drama immensely. I gave it a 9 because it is almost perfection!!

I'm afraid I didn't like this drama and dropped it. Maybe it got better after the second episode but I couldn't stand the fact that he made her think that she was going to die when it was really himself in this situation.

This is a very good and well acted story. As usual Kimura Takuya is brilliant and the plot a very good mixture of power and family ties. I would not recommend it for those like myself who prefer happy endings to the stories that they watch. Similarly to other Japanese dramas also the side characters in this drama were very good.

This is a great story and very delicate and romantic. I liked the way they managed to represent a very believable and interesting story in the workplace and at the same time wave inside it a very suffered love story. The main actor, Tsutsumi Shinichi is fantastic and I would like to see him in more dramas. The OST goes really well with this story too and I liked it very much.

This drama is one of the most delicate and poetic that I have watched so far. The story is absolutely beautiful and all the characters give a very positive feeling by the end. Both the leading actors are extremely good and the message in the background of this story is really uplifting.

After watching this I can say that it is not an easygoing drama but quite the opposite. Definitely not one that I would watch again even if the story is beautiful in its profound sadness and the actors are very good. Besides Kimutaku who is always perfect in his role, I appreciated the role of Dectective Kanzo very much indeed (the only positive person in the drama!). Almost everyone dies by the end of the story which left me really sad and upset.

for someone with the fear of flying like myself this drama was greatly inspiring and it taught me a lot. The acting of Kimutaku is brilliant as always and I have to say that I was particularly struck but the acting of Captain Koda who was just as fascinating.
