Yes!! There were so many unbelievable things. I think if they showed her progression in levelling up (like in wuxias) and all her training from childhood, it would feel more realistic. Def all plot armor that she won every fight.

In POJ I couldn't feel the chemistry between the main leads at all, very diff from SOKP where I could feel the chemistry between ZLH and Bai Lu. The second and third couples had more chemistry, and I enjoyed their stories more.

Agreed, I began to lose interest when the leads met up but they kept on dragging on the hidden identity piece, which led to foolish actions by FL. FL only survived continuously due to plot armor. I also didn't like that ML became so underwhelming when compared to how much FL outshone him.

The only other drama where I was impressed by his looks (due to excellent cinematography and styling) was My Journey To You.

This is a romance-heavy drama, but it is a slow burn with push and pull for most of the series. But I love this, bc it makes it more authentic given the enemies-to-lovers trope.

OMG I was fuming and in shock, thinking wtf wtf the whole time...like why did the scriptwriter go off the rails and make up random plots at the 11th hour. I couldn't even cry or empathize with the main leads bc I hated this plot change.

Yes!!! That is the only thing I would've changed in LITC. I really liked Situ Ling and how much he helped Ming Yi, and I wish he stayed like that. I hated that they made him the final villain.

Watched all eps. Thank goodness Song Yuzhi didn't become a Situ Ling 2.0. He stayed righteous and true thru the end.

You're right that it deviated from MQY's character. This is bc in the novel, he never used Disintegration and he never almost died like that. They should have stuck to the novel's ending. I'm disappointed.
