Hi, can someone explain the significance of the Chinese title and how it relates to the story?

Love Like The Galaxy and Story of Kunning Palace come to mind. FL actress was a princess in SOKP. ML actor was in LLTG.

I'm watching on iQiyi, the subs are totally fine. I recommend switching to iQiyi.

I see you gave The First Jasmine a 5.0 rating. So I think you're just allergic to smart heroines and prefer the dumb/ditzy ones. It's understandable.

Main lead is too simple and not all that smart. I like second male lead bc he is complex and cunning.

Another example would be that she is so clueless she doesn't even know her maid is poisoning her. Additionally, she isn't even aware of all the spying around her, and that she created a new enemy who wants to get rid of her. All this cluelessness shows a female lead who is dumb/ditzy.

Bold yes, but that boldness is rather dumb bc she takes action without considering risks.

Agreed! I actually think her storyline with second male lead is so much more interesting too. They def should have made him the main lead plot.

I've only watch LYT in A Dream Within A Dream and now Legend of Rosy Clouds. In both dramas, she plays ditzy/dumb characters. Does she ever have smart character roles? She's good at comedy, but comedy doesn't mean the character can't be funny AND smart. I'm not impressed with her acting so far, if this is the extent of her acting due to the roles she chooses to play.
