I love the main cast in Unveil: Jadewind but I am quite bored...I stopped halfway thru and don't know if I'll finish it. I recommend Story of Kunning Palace, Love In The Clouds and Legend of the Female General. Also, since you like BL, I also recommend The Untamed. As for modern cdramas, I really enjoyed Love's Ambition and Love Between Lines -- these two are a bit more unique compared to the usual modern cdrama tropes.

Have you seen Love In The Clouds yet? That one is my all-time #1 right now -- it is the most romantic drama I've ever seen. Like you, I don't like politics heavy drama. I only like dramas that focus heavily on the romance between the main leads. So I think you'll like Love In The Clouds! :)))

I recomme trying cdramas, they're much better. I used to watch kdramas 100% of the time. These days I watch 90% cdramas and 10% kdramas.

I actually think this is one of those dramas where you should just jump in without spoilers. All I'll say is, this drama is one of the most romantic kdramas with OSTs on repeat on my playlist, plus beautiful cinematography that makes me want to visit the filming locations asap this year or next year!
