I’m not actually confused about the ending because I thought I understood it. What confused me is that I read somewhere that, in the novel that the drama is based on, the four of them actually met. How is that possible? 😭 Can someone please explain?
I initially understood Zhang Zhun and Zhen Xin as the real people/main characters, and that the story we watched was their actual story. But in the post-credit scene, Gao Zhun and Fang Chi are reading a book where Zhang Zhun and Zhen Xin appear as characters.
So I understood it as Gao Zhun and Fang Chi’s real-life story becoming the plot/script of the movie, with Zhang Zhun and Zhen Xin playing them. Meanwhile, Zhang Zhun and Zhen Xin also have their own story as the actors who played Gao Zhun and Fang Chi and eventually fell in love with each other.
But if the novel really says that Zhang Zhun, Zhen Xin, Gao Zhun, and Fang Chi all met, then how does that work? Are there actually multiple layers or timelines to the story? Did they change this part in the drama adaptation? I’m so confused 😭
i've watched the two episodes. it's fine overall. i'm just really bothered by the bite mark on phatsa's neck. sill that fade, or is it just going to stay there?
i finished the episodes tonight. the pacing so far has been really good. perfectly balanced. hopefully any conflict that comes up won't feel dragged out.
