Title Ticket to Heaven Spoiler
this week’s episode was much more lighthearted than i expected, or at least the beginning of it was. it was nice to see Barth’s playful side and his ability to make new friends. however, he is still the same person: an unbeliever who refuses to worship God. he has his own reasons for that, and whether he is right or wrong is ultimately up to the viewer to decide.

that said, spending so much time together is clearly influencing Tanrak. he is doing things he has never done before. i doubt that, before Barth’s arrival, he had ever even been punished, and look at him now… he knows it’s not right, but he simply can’t stay away from Barth. they fit together perfectly.

as we get closer to the end of the episode, things continue to take a darker turn and the atmosphere grows heavier. we learn that the house Tanrak used to live in was destroyed. that revelation deeply saddens him and lowers his guard. in that vulnerable state, it becomes much easier for Barth to get close to him.

even though Tanrak is presented as the perfect believer with unshakable faith, i do believe he has moments of doubt. and Barth is the spark that ignites that hidden uncertainty.

in the final minutes, we see Tanrak experiencing feelings he has likely never dealt with before — lust. poor boy, he seems completely lost. he knows he’s struggling with something that goes against everything he has been taught, yet he doesn’t know how to process it. i believe this is the first time he has ever felt this way, and that inner conflict is written all over his face.

the closing scene… wow. it sent chills down my spine. amazing work from both the actors and director aof 👏🏻 like, damn.

His youthful appearance doesn't bother me, but his lousy acting sure does.
bold of you to assume i would watch and waste 405 minutes of my life on a series i don’t like 😂😂 and it’s honestly impressive that you took the time to do the math just to roast me lol.

i haven’t watched all the episodes, and i’m not planning to. clearly, this series just isn’t for me. i was simply expressing my opinion here. as far as i know, this is the comment section of the drama, and i was curious to hear what other viewers thought about what i said, whether they agreed or disagreed. i’m perfectly fine with both. y’know, expressing an opinion is a liberty, right?

for me, he does resemble a child. not a 5-year-old, obviously, but someone who’s either just about to start puberty or at the very beginning of it. he has no facial hair, and his features are extremely soft and youthful. and no, that’s not a bad thing. not every man has to look like he just fought in ww2 or emerged from the woods after surviving on berries for six months 😭

but seeing someone with such a youthful appearance being forced onto a bed by someone much stronger and more mature looking… i don’t know, man. it just doesn’t sit right with me. that’s my personal reaction to it. if you enjoy it, then have fun. it’s your time, and you’re free to spend it however you want.

also, regarding tlwli, yeah, he doesn’t exactly look like the most field-trained police officer out there. but honestly, most police officers look like average people. at least where i’m from, they aren’t walking around looking like superman. but i can accept your opinion if you think he’s not a convincing fit for the role.

that intro is HORRENDOUS. ethnical and environmental aspects aside, using ai just makes the show look cheap from…
how do you know it’s ai? i’m genuinely curious, because i didn’t notice it at all until someone else mentioned it in the comments earlier, and now you have too 😭

The age gap in the novel is four years. Cheng Yichen is academically gifted and attends the same school as Lu…
yeah, you’re totally right, the contrast between their appearances definitely adds to the discomfort. i guess some people enjoy that feeling a lot more than i ever will 😭 it’s just a bit too much for me, even though i generally like darker themes and morally grey characters.

thanks for your answer~ 🫶🏻

He looks exactly like how he was portrayed in the novel
yeah, i totally understand that this is how he’s supposed to look according to the novel. i have my own thoughts about it, but i don’t want to start a war with anyone, so i’ll just keep them to myself. it does make me feel uncomfortable, though.

i get that this story is meant to be dark, and i’m actually glad to see bls exploring darker, more toxic, and bolder themes. however, i find it really difficult to watch a very mature-looking man push a childlike-looking man against the bed and essentially force himself on him. that’s just a bit too much for me.

absolutely no hate to anyone who enjoys it, but it does make me wonder why the author chose to portray the characters this way. i understand what they were going for, but personally, it’s not something i can look past.

thanks for the explanation btw! i appreciate it🥰

i haven’t read the novel so I wasn’t aware of this. thanks!

however, when adapting something into a tv show they usually make some changes. if i were the director i’d definitely reconsider this.

my issue isn’t that the actor looks youthful (good for him 🙏🏻) but rather the hair and his character’s clothing. it all feels a bit too much together with his already youthful appearance if you understand what i mean. 🥹 it doesn’t help that the other male lead appears so masculine and mature. i really dislike seeing heteronormative features imposed on gay characters.

If i am not wrong. Ayden chose sitong on his own based on the connection he felt with him. But yeah I get it from…
hmm, i see. i can’t really argue with this one. it’s always nice to see when two actors are comfortable working together, especially in a bl <33

it’s strange. i saw your comment under another bl called the lie we lived in and you were harshly criticising the young appearance of the main lead… why doesn’t it bother you here?

same director as love in the big city but unfortunately not the same budget…the actors’ performance is very…
love in the big city was a massive hit though. i’m curious why this wasn’t approved on the same budget despite being directed by the same person…

i can’t be the only one concerned that Yichen literally looks like a child. 💀 they should have casted someone more mature looking in my opinion…

this, coupled with the portrayal of such a toxic non-consensual relationship, is just too much for me. i love chinese bls and don’t mind some toxicity or flawed characters but this is simply too much…

feel free to disagree though.

Lu Yuxiao is absolutely stunning! 😍 her features are incredibly natural and unlike the plastic doll look of many other actresses. plus she’s a fantastic actress. she completely immerses herself in her characters no matter the role. 👏🏻❤️

That's where you leave us? Bombshell already dropped at the end of episode 2. Then cliffhanger. Good thing I'm…
“good thing i’m used to waiting” 🤣🤣 having watched asian dramas for 6 years now, i feel you 😭 it’s such a pain in the ass waiting weeks for a drama to finish airing but oh well, it’s so rewarding in the end 😩
